Great value for money, basic but clean, comfortable, across the road from Aldi, helpful staff, safe parking, decent wifi, big view windows. Not central to city, but great access in c. 10" without traffic.

Nothing.

Great views from the tenth floor. Good parking. Nice shower and bathroom. Really good breakfast. Lovely bacon and scrambled eggs. Would have liked to have seen a milk option available for those who are lactose intolerant and possibly gluten free cereal/ bread options too. Good sized room and good room cleaning. Great location close to the motorway and also great bus and tram links. Our 3rd visit now and not the last.

A minor point but our room had a damaged wall and it had been badly repaired. Also the curtains looked like they would benefit from a wash. Neither affected our stay though. Unusual window set up in the rooms. There are 2 double glazed windows in the room the inner opens partly but not the outer.

Everything....pre book your breakfast as it works out a lot cheaper if you do prebook...you'll have a choice of either a cooked or continental breakfast or both if your extra hungry or wanting to fill up for the day ahead. And there was a tv in the breakfast room so you could hear the morning news. Our room was large, clean, and had a tv, kettle towels, and air-conditioning. we were on the 7th floor and can be accessed via stairs or lift. The staff were friendly and welcoming, in fact, they were very nice and helpful and didn't mind keeping some medication in their fridge for me as the room we stayed in didn't have a fridge..I could get an evening at a very reasonable price and drinks both non alcoholic and alcoholic could be bought in the hotel bar. There was also a pool table in the bar/ hotel reception. Milton Manchester offered free parking. Overall, for the price we paid, the Milton was excellent, not a top of the range hotel, but close to shops, (Aldi is literally across the road outside the hotel) pubs, bus station, and tram station with excellent facilities and wonderful staff, food and connections in and out of Manchester the ring road and motorway. I'd stay at the Milton Manchester again and recommend the hotel to Friends.

No swimming pool or spa treatments, but again, for the price we paid, it was an excellent place to stay.

When I walked in I was a bit put off because the hotel is in a 1970s high rise office block. But after that it was good. Reception staff polite and helpful. Room clean, bed comfortable, bathroom clean with a large shower cubicle. WiFi free and secure. I used it a lot and it only went down once. If I needed to stay in the area again I would be happy to stay in this hotel. I didn't eat in the hotel but the dining area and bar looked clean and comfortable.

Decorating could do with a bit of TLC, also towel rail in my bathroom needs replacing. It wasn't a problem for me, but be aware that when you use the lift you will get out on a landing and will have to go up or down one flight of stairs to get to your room. If you have mobility issues that would be a problem.

The inside of this hotel is so much better than anticipated, especially when viewed from its rather ugly austere exterior. It is built in old office spaces and therefore the room benefitted from huge windows. The room was great with a lovely ensuite. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We had paid for a breakfast in the booking price and it was delicious (continental as well as cooked breakfast items) and the breakfast room was bright and clean. We will definitely book here again as the price was also great!

Maybe thicker pillows needed but that's just being a bit picky as there is nothing really to fault at this budget hotel.

So aside from the quirky building which reminded me a little of a school or something along those lines and that it seems the building is more than a hotel so the layout was a little set of here and there and the fact you got a lift to a floor then had to walk down a small flight of stairs when you were actually in the hotel parts of the building they were lovely the restaurant bar was spotless and clean and did kind of Yates/weatherspoons type food at similar prices in the evening and was nice food. They also did really nice cocktails that were 2 for a tenner or 5/6 on a cocktail tree for £18 which is well worth it! There is a pool table also and staff are really helpful and friendly. The room which was on floor 11 so great view was really large and well presented, had a large bed very comfortable with tea and coffee ect. Very large posh shower and was easy to chill and watch tv in bed :) the breakfast is on the 3rd floor so a different floor than the bar and is from 8-11 so good amount of time to get it. It’s a buffet breakfast which is amazing to me as I hate keep asking people for things lots of bacon eggs sauces ect, ect cooked perfectly and lots of juices cereals tea coffee muffins ect. Was delicious. Check out time is 11 so not too early either. I liked that there was an Aldi right across the road and got some munches for the room. Easy to find from the tram and buses litterally a 2 minute walk. I will definitely be returning.

I’m not one to moan but if your not an optimist like me then you probably might not like the lay out of the building, could have done with a vending machine for when the bar closed,Building from the outside looks abit like a school or uni. window opens but there’s another window behind it that doesn’t so no fresh air. Nothing major tho

after reading reviews I was nervous, but it wasn’t needed. it was comfortable, it was clean, and as we were staying for a convention it’s al we wanted of the room. we ended up with a 4 bed room, which for just the two of us was great with plenty of space. the room was maintained daily, very discreetly too, didn’t have to ask for milk/coffee etc as the cleaners replenished. located close to transport links - train, tram and bus are all a short walk away, good prices for my stay too.

it does have a very weird layout, having to get the lift to the floor above/below where you’re actually going. the reception was on floor 2 (through the bar) on arrival day but on ground floor on leaving day.. (it was signposted but just odd)

We arrived late after lots of traffic from the south of England. Reception were friendly checked us in and offered breakfast (which we took) Room was clean bathroom spotless and beds comfortable. After a good nights sleep we enjoyed an excellent Breakfast (full English and also continental) croissants cereals etc... check out was painless... Is the perfect location to get a good nights sleep before heading off to whatever you are doing. My rating is based on the price/location (which is very competitive)

All good nothing not to like. I wouldn't stay here for a holiday but as a stop off one night is perfect.

As many others have pointed out .. on arrival, building is definitely more of an office block ! The hotel clearly is sharing with offices .Reception for the hotel itself is on the 2nd floor ... we had no issues with checking in, and the information given us at check was very good, too .Staff member was friendly and welcoming . Our room was on the 12th floor , but we had to disembark lift on floor 13 and take half a dozen steps down to the 12th .. an issue if disabled.. clearly ! Our room was quite large & clean.Bathroom very good too appeared to be fairly new .Excellent power in the shower .Views across Manchester are amazing. Very quiet and peaceful we found. The bed is large , as others have said , probably 2 single beds together.. we didn't notice the join ! Yes, pillows are very basic, with no body to them .. Has everything a short stay requires really especially as much lower cost than many other places to stay ..With free parking as well . Location is great for trams , buses, etc.to get to the city and come very regularly..approx 12mins or so .. We never waited much more than 5 minutes. We ate in the restaurant 1st night and were very happy with our food ..did take awhile to get it ..but it was hot and delicious! Also very reasonably priced ..Breakfast also is as good as any Premier Inn buffet ... It's a quirky hotel, which, to be honest, made us laugh at times .. It all added to a pleasant stay, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again

You're not told that if your room isn't quite shut it alarms ...was a nuisance because all guests clearly wasn't aware and if they hadn't shut their door properly it did wake us up..sounds like our alarm clock in fact !! Which for us was annoying as we couldn't work out at 1st why our clock was ringing! LOL We missed not having a bedside table .. had a large headboard with a shelf .but useful to put you tea on as too high to reach it ! Mushrooms for breakfast are not fresh, more like tinned ones, and to be honest, disgusting .. which was disappointing. Scrambled eggs were pretty yuk, too ! The rest of breakfast, though, couldn't be faulted ..just being picky now !
