The location was lovely! We had easy access to a beautiful canal walk and taxis could easily find us! The room was clean and modern and they provided a fan for the heat! It was all quite private and never loud! Excellent place

The staff could have been more helpful! We went for breakfast on the first morning and we didn't realise we had to pay when ordering , or my husband wasn't asked if he was staying there so we could use the discount! I'll take responsibility partially because the man who brought us to the room told us about the discount , but he didn't hear that! But I feel the staff could've just guided us through it more , kind of felt like we were supposed to know what to do. There was lots of spiders on the windows so I couldn't really open the window at all! And the mirror was a bit dusty! We're not too particular but for others more so! Really it was a beautiful place!! Sorry for nit picking

What a great find ... The staff were very friendly, one of whom showed us to our room and explained a couple of essentials. The room itself was very stylishly and inspirationally decorated. The location is great and within easy walking distance of a decent selection of bars and restaurants on Monton Road, or of course the Riverside has it's own restaurant and bar but sadly we had drinks as we'd already made arrangements with family. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we're visiting our relatives.

Breakfast only offered at weekends but not a huge issue

The hotel is next to the canal so ideal for peaceful walks. It has a very good restaurant and bar area, we had lunch and dinner, both were good value. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were well equipped, kettle and coffee machine, top ups of milk, coffee, biscuits were available. We borrowed an Iron and ironing board. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Ambient lighting in the bathroom was great at night. The shower pressure was the best I’ve had in a hotel.

The step down from the shower was a bit high a grab handle would be helpful. I didn’t find a hairdryer (I had my own) I’m sure I could have borrowed one if I had asked.

I was on an adventure to cycle, solo, across the width of Britain. I chose this accommodation because it was very close to the canal where I was cycling. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helped me with storing my bike in a secure storage room and also provided me with an electric heater so that I could dry my clothes (after cycling 16 miles in the pouring room !). The food at the restaurant was gorgeous. Will definitely call again the next time i'm in the area.

Location was great, lovely restaurant attached which was delicious if a little on the pricey side for what it served. really helpful staff.

Sound travelled a lot. I expected noise from the restaurant after previous reviews which was as expected but this went quiet when bar shut at 11pm. However doors banging etc from 6am in the morning. I was up early for work anyway so didn’t massively affect me but if you’re hoping for a relaxing lie in you might not get one!

the staff where exceptionally helpful, the room was beautifully decorated (very quirky) loved it. Beds were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very modern and shower was fabulous. I will definitely return and highly recommend. Nearly forgot I had the Sunday roast and it was amazing. thank you for making my stay a wonderful experience 😃

Gorgeous deco, good location, super clean, nice staff

Nothing really! We didn't mind but just to note, please don't book here and expect radio silence, especially on a weekend. It is a super popular restaurant/bar so expect some music/chatting to be heard, this all stops at a reasonable time so there isn't any early morning partiers, just people having a good time!

A very cosy and cool place to stay. Loved the decor, my room was really lovely. The pub downstairs was fab too, food was excellent and good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Only minor things like the TV playing up a bit and I couldn't quite get the heating right but no big deal at all.

Stopped at this hotel on a weekend away to watch rugby, From checking in to leaving we absolutely loved it! the rooms are amazing, the staff friendly and can’t do enough for you! we had our evening meal in the restaurant and received a 25% discount which was a nice surprise! We will definitely return next year

Bed not so comfy too low (our personal taste ) to floor metal corrugated wall makes room cold. Radiator bedroom too small slightly bigger better nothing major just our view
