The Hotel was really lovely we have been staying in Newquay for years now and often eaten at the Griffin so we knew how lovely the food was, I wasn't sure what to expect staying with them for 10 days it was so nice the staff were lovely Polly was our waitress when we had our breakfast and evening meals and she was so lovely always so happy and nothing was too much trouble we actually felt like she was a friend by the end of our holiday she is real credit the hotel thank you so much, I noticed there was a few negative reviews before we went and honestly I do not know how they could make those comments I would just like to say we didn't want to leave it was like home from home ❤️ 😊 Thank you everyone at the Griffin xx

Wonderful place, with perfect central location. Staff accomodating and friendly, breakfast was good value for money and tasty, room clean and comfortable bed. Onsite parking ideal

Décor a little dated and would benefit from a freshen up. Private party held in function room, loud disco felt like it was in our room, music stopped around 11.30pm. Not a huge issue but would have preferred to be advised in advance of the event, and maybe ear plugs offered/provided. Heavy rain during stay showed guttering needs clearing as water was pouring over but you wouldn't know this unless it rained.

Easy to book and check in up to 10pm as its never guaranteed how long it takes to get to Cornwall.Friendly helpful staff and easy to get to rooms there is a easy access lift if required.Your on sit for a very nice atmosphere for good food or drink.It is ideally placed access to newquay and supermarkets with other bars just across the road if required.Rooms are clean and beds comfortable and the room is made up each day if required. The breakfast is fantastic with a good window of time to be served.All round good experience no complaints.

Parking can be tight at certain times of day but spaces are usually available for sure later into the evening.

The inn was located close to everything, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate there several times and the food was great. With some updating and air conditioning I would recommand the property one hundred percent.

Our toilet took several times to properly flush and the shower pressure was not very strong. The location was central but very noisy until very late. Because there was no air conditioning we had to have the windows open which meant we could not shut out the noise and cigarette smell from below

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre of Newquay and just a few minutes from the sea and town centre. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and lovely and warm, which we were very happy about as it was a very cold weekend when we stayed. We had an evening meal there and the food was excellent, the staff there are very friendly and welcoming. We also had breakfast there, and again it was excellent, cannot fault the food at all. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay there again.

Everything was excellent, the only thing we can think of, would be to have bedside lights.

The location was ideal, handy for all of the local amenities within Newquay without having to use a car. The staff were friendly and the food was very good.

It was quite noisy one night but fortunately the music stopped around 11pm. We suspect that the music was from an adjacent venue and not from the hotel itself. The bedrooms would benefit from air conditioning particularly in the warmer months but was only a minor inconvenience for our stay.

The staff were so kind and helpful, the cleaners did a great job,The food at the restaurant was delicious, the view was nice, very good location, near to the town centre.

The bed wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst, very warm in the room. The toilet didnt flush with much power, and water wasnt the coldest, Tv's could be updated to newer models with internet connectivity for rainy days.

Everything about the pub, food, service drinks etc the room itself was very clean nicely decorated. It was easy to find. Easy booking in and out.

The only downside we both felt was our room was literally next to the chimney from the kitchen so was very noisy. but that was the only noise. So was it hard to sleep for that, plus the bed you felt you was literally falling off as it was slanted on both sides and it was quite thin and soft. You did not here alot of noise from the road or from the diners/drinkers downstairs though which was a bonus.

The location was perfect. 3 mins from the station and Great Western Beach. Easy to get to everywhere else around Newquay. Fantastic Sunday roast. Toby, who was serving the carvery in the restaurant was exceptionally polite and courteous. The reception and bar team were very friendly and professional too. We stayed for a wedding at Lusty Glaze beach which was only a 17 minute walk away along the coastal path.

Easy parking, great location. Food was great and really friendly staff. Room had a sea view and was maintained every day. Shower was great. Would recommend and go to this hotel again if I was visiting.

The pub does run events in the basement so before 11 you may get some noise from it. One event on the Saturday but that was all.
