The White House Hotel

From the moment we walked in, I loved it! The way it was decorated with the funky top hat lampshades to the art on the walls, it was so cool and nicely done. The room was lovely, the bed was soo comfortable and the shower was the best shower I've ever used. Our view was just amazing from the balcony. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious, the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten. And they had oat milk, which was a bonus for me because some places still don't have non dairy options.

My stay at The White House hotel exceeded all expectations. It is a boutique hotel with chic artsy decor which I simply loved. We were welcomed with glasses of prosecco which was a very nice touch and there were complementary chocolates in our room too. The vice-presidential suite where I stayed had a lovely view of the ocean. The room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. The coffee machine in the room was an added bonus. Room was cleaned everyday and coffee pods and cookies were replenished too. Breakfast was excellent; there were a variety of options to choose from and the food was delicious. The breakfast area and lounge were pretty and quaint. There is an honesty bar at the lounge as well.

The bathroom door did not close properly. The mirror was a bit high in the bathroom. I wish there were heated towel rails as well.

A beautiful,, quirky boutique hotel. The glass of prosecco on arrival was a very nice touch. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed,. Lovely view. The breakfasts we had were delicious and the breakfast service was on point. Don't expect a full English option here, you won't miss it as there is plenty of choice -omelettes, eggs Benedict, boiled egg and soldiers and so on. Quality of the food is excellent. Beautiful fluffy towels, and amenity kits in the bathroom. The hotel is very eco friendly which is always good. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the honesty bar, an excellent idea.

The bathroom could have been bigger. It was cramped and it was not overly easy to get in and out of the shower because of the configuration of the room. We couldn't close the wardrobe door properly but this wasn't n't a game changer.

We were upgraded on arrival to a beautiful queen room ..the owner was very welcoming and offered us prosseco...we were told about the honesty bar and shown to our room ...breakfast was a great time at 9 am till 10.15 ...and the food was amazing ...I strongly recommend the omelette and the French that with stewed fruit strawberries and clotted cream ...such a great choice for a different breakfast...lots of little luxuries ...we will definitely return

The welcome was friendly and made us feel at ease after a long journey. The hotel was lovely, boutique in style. the bedrooms were exceptionally nice with added extras such a coffee making machine, kettle, tea, coffee etc lovely biscuits and not forgetting the jelly beans and mint tictak. In my room, I had a pair of binoculars to make full use of the sea view. Everything in the room was so fresh and clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Every area of the hotel had been decorated to a very high standard. The honesty bar was a fantastic idea and was really well stocked. Any time of day or night you could sit in the lounge/bar area and enjoy your favourite drink. The breakfast table was set out beautifully with crisp white napkins in their napkin rings, china cups and saucers even the cutest little silver container and spoon for your salt. The breakfast menu was super varied and everything anyone would need for a start to their day. The location of the hotel was just far enough away from the hustle and bustle so as not to disturb but close enough to walk to the beaches, bars and restaurants. All in all my daughters and I had the most amazing time staying at The White House Hotel and we would highly recommend a stay to those people looking to move away from the large ‘same old same’ hotel chains and look for that something a little bit different.

An individual, quirky feel to the hotel with lots of little lovely touches such as tic tacs and bloody Mary’s for breakfast if you wanted them. We loved the honesty bar. The breakfast choice didn’t have full English but was brilliant with cereals, omelette, eggs and lots more. Although it was very hot there was a fan provided. The most comfortable hotel bed we have slept in and luxurious bedding and towels. Brilliant location. The complimentary Prosecco!

Not enough electric sockets for us personally. The room said a garden view but was actually looking over a flat roof, not a garden. The door didn’t close without putting the lock on. (may not be an issue for most people but given my husband had to get up early, and I didn’t, was inconvenient for us) Overall, in our opinion, really lovely and with these things addressed would be brilliant.

What a delightful surprise! I have been traveling since mid April and stayed in a combination of Airbnbs and hotels from South Africa to Zimbabwe, Nice, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Broadway in the Cotswold, Falmouth and now Newquay, The White House Hotel has been flat out the best overall lodging experience I have had on my journey. Why? It is because Nicolas is the consummate host attending to your every need. And the attention to detail of what enhances your stay is extraordinary. I was in the Vice President Suite with a view overlooking town to the water, a comfy sitting area, dreamy bed, and all the usual amenities plus thick fluffy towels, milk delivered to your door for your in-room coffee or tea, and a Pillow Spray for good night’s sleep. The cozy parlor is the perfect combination of chic and charm with an honesty bar for your pleasure. And to top it off, a sumptuous breakfast is included. Honestly, the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. I highly recommend The White House Hotel for your stay in Newquay. And to be clear, I don’t work for the hotel nor for booking.com.

Everything was absolutely perfect during our stay. We got offered a glass of Prosecco on arrival by staff. The room was absolutely amazing and when we went out and got our room serviced when we came back it was so organised and lovely! The honesty bar was a lovely new experience and it was nicely stocked. The breakfast was lovely and the service was amazing! Our room was amazing and had a very comfortable bed and sofa. The balcony had an amazing view of the sea and the horizon.

The couple of things I didn’t like was the shower as the drain didn’t work properly and the water wouldn’t go down. The only other thing was that there was a mirror right infront of the toilet.

Excellent accomodation, very well situated. Breakfast excellent, attention to detail at the hotel wonderful. Very stylish indeed.

The only problem was the poor bathroom. Toilet which was less than 2 ft from a wall with a mirror in front of you. It didn’t flush well and we had to flush with water from a kettle. Taps looked lovely but you couldn’t operate them with wet hands. Minor but irritating issue which slightly spoiled am otherwise lovely stay.

What a great find this was. Lovely boutique hotel with fab decor and so many lovely little extras such as clean cups in the room each day, lovely bathroom toiletries, and the most wonderful breakfast menu, which included weather forecast and tide times. Breakfast each day was delicious. Location was okay, 10 minute walk into the town, about 25 minute walk to Fistral Beach.

Had a seaview room, which was fab, but was up 2 flights of stairs.
