The location is so exceptional, the beach house being actually on the beach, that it's hard to find the words that praise it enough. Being able to eat fantastic food, attended by wonderfully cheerful and attentive staff and then go to sleep to the sound of the surf was such a restorative and enjoyable experience, it is not overstating the case to say that this was probably the best hotel stay we've ever experienced in the UK and in the top three worldwide. All the staff we encountered were cheerful, attentive and all seemed to really enjoy going out of their way to ensure we had everything we wanted. We have to make special mention of Eva (it may have been Ava), Natasha and Niamh who each took care of us on one of our evenings in the restaurant where we ate the most amazing food prepared by chefs Matt and Wayne (aka 'Skinny') who were equally good company and took the time to chat to us about the area, the food and the hotel.

There really was nothing we didn't like; ok, sand gets into the apartment but we booked a beach house so that would be foolish to be a cause for complaint and the cleaning staff do an amazing job keeping everything spotlessly clean.

Wow what an amazing place! Right on the beach with fabulous views. We stayed in a Colonial room with balcony and the decor and furniture in the room and the restaurant was eclectic and bespoke. Our stay was to celebrate my partners 60th birthday and the staff were fantastic and made the day really special. The food in the restaurant was so tasty and the seafood - crab, prawns, lobster - was fresh and the best I’ve ever tasted. We will definitely be returning! ❤️

Very narrow steep slope to drive down but apart from that the whole place was perfect.

The food we had in the restaurant, not only breakfast but evening meal, were all fabulous. The staff were lovely, especially the lady on reception. The location is perfect and the room was just lovely. It was all a very special treat and lovely for my partner’s birthday celebration. I also love the fact that the card and wine I ordered for him… the card was actually hand written. That was lovely. Will definitely visit again, and will definitely recommend… in fact lots of people already have asked about it through my Instagram .

The road down to it 😆

The location was even better than I hoped for. We were looking for peace and quiet and there was no noise or disturbance from other guests even though there were people in the beach houses either side of us. There was plenty of space inside the accommodation, it was lovely and warm. The view out of each and every window was just stunning. The super king bed was incredibly comfortable. We really liked the little touches of the thick cosy blankets for getting cosy outside to enjoy the stormy sea and starry night, the picnic basket with glasses etc in it was a nice touch too. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, the evening meal didn’t quite match the breakfast but was still very good, we only had a large selection of sides and a starter, the mains may have been better. The restaurant was really quirky and relaxing. Every member of staff we met was really happy and helpful. I live in Cornwall and was meeting a friend here for a breakaway and it really felt like we had found our own little hideaway escape from the world!

A little fold out table, in the corner where the two chairs were, would have been really handy. The sliding door to the bathroom felt like it was going to fall off every time one of us moved it, it was very loud to open or close especially during the night, and it didn’t offer much privacy. I couldn’t fault anything else at all.

Fabulous location, amazing views, very helpful and friendly staff. Water pressure in the shower/ bathroom is incredible. Beautifully styled interiors kept in a very good condition, super clean. Felt luxurious. Record player is a lovely touch. We are very happy and would 100% recommend. Will definitely come back next time we're in Newquay.

The access to the car park is really difficult to find and it isn't an easy access. The materass was a bit hard for our liking.

View was excellent, main reason for booking this particular accommodation. Room was comfortable and very well presented. We thought it was a bit expensive but you do get what you pay for, and my wife commented that it’s the best place she’s stayed in.

Not keen on the road to the car park - quite narrow and next to the cliff edge… not good if you have vertigo, especially if you meet another car on the way round and have to reverse (which thankfully we didn’t).

Loved everything but felt the restaurant was good but far to expensive . Rooms are great but would benefit from some sound insulation... luckily the hotel was nearly empty when we were there so noise from other rooms was bearable . Price of staying was expensive but as a one off we chose to pay

The view took my breath away. Waking up and falling to sleep listening to the sea. The cocktails, food & comfort was exceptional. Very intimate. Will stay again. Enjoyed so much had to write a review. Staff were also very friendly & the bartenders cocktail was my favourite!

Grout bathroom, most hotels have this? No real complaints. Only one upsetting part was we couldn’t return with our children which we would have loved as adults only

It was so relaxing staying in one of the beach houses right on the beach listening to the waves roll in at night. The beach house was clean with all the things we needed as well as a massive comfy bed. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu which was all delicious. The reception team and bar/restaurant team were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend and will be back 😊

The room with the view was fabulous as was the bathroom. The cocktails in the restaurant were lovely. The terrace was lovely too. It was a lovely quiet hotel at night and the bed was very comfortable. Some of the staff were very nice.

The drive down is very very narrow and so we did not leave the hotel until we went home. The breakfast and service was not good. No buffet with cereals etc. and a very basic menu. Don't order the american pancakes, they are awful. Some of the staff need nore training as we had to get our own cutlery on 2 occasions.
