Lovely, quiet village setting in pleasant countryside. Comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. Accommodating hosts left the key in a key box for our late arrival. Good communication. Tea and coffee in the room was a nice touch.

All good. the room was quite small, but had everything in there that we needed. En-suite bathroom is a bit tight, but again, it had everything that we needed. Toiletries were provided. There was no wi-fi code in the room, so when we arrived at night, there was no access to wi-fi, but we got the code at breakfast in the morning.

Lovely beds, clean bedding, slept well. Tea making facilities good. Beautiful church bells on Sunday morning. The staff were lovely and it was nice staying in a village pub.

Perspex shelf above basin not strong enough to hold toothpaste tube - it tipped whenever we tried to use it, and the shelf was in the head space when cleaning teeth over basin, which caused us to bump our heads. Probably best to remove shelf as it wasn't purposeful. Handrails on communal stairs were terribly sticky which I advised the staff of.

a welcoming traditional old pub with 3 rooms off a private corridor and with a separate entrance meaning no need to walk through the bar. very accompanying regarding a late breakfast, which was plentiful and excellent

Just to be aware that the pub does close in the afternoons, some of our party hadn’t realised and missed the opportunity to have a quick drink when they arrived, having elected to check out the rooms first. Their error since the terms clearly state check in times.

The food is always good at the Bell and its traditional pub food with a changing menu. This time I tried the spicy prawns which was nice and light. Perfect for summer.

Last time I stayed I had trouble sleeping as the mattress was too soft for me, but that had changed and sleep was pretty instant. What's not to like!

Welcoming staff, good food & pleasant surroundings. Fine real ale a bonus! The ideal place for an overnight stop. On a nice day the beautiful walled garden would make a good place for a relaxed lunch.

Cold water pressure to bathroom sink far too high-needs a restrictor! You get covered in water easily! Otherwise very little wrong in a small room.

Friendly, helpful staff. Historic building in a lovely village. Plenty of parking. Comfortable beds with good quality linen. Large attractive rear garden.

Twin room much more bijou than appears in photos and especially true of the en suite shower room. Fine for a single night stay however.

Great village pub, with a couple of en-suite rooms upstairs - and a real 1970s vibe! Terrific welcome, very popular restaurant(reserve a table), great beds, excellent breakfast.

check in is 12-2 or after 6… we didn’t realise (our fault) and had to wait for 6pm.

Great full English breakfast. Very satisfying. The evening meal was traditional I.e roast lamb, mint sauce, with Yorkshire pudding, hot and on time. Staff welcoming.

A few fixtures need repairs e.g there was a fault with the lock on the room door, and care was needed to regulate the shower. Too hot or too cold. Manager was informed, said he would look into it.

very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent

I was quoted £52 on booking.com but was charged £60 at the property. I was told that this was because of breakfast but breakfast was included in my booking confirmation. I don’t know who’s fault this is but as I didn’t want to make a scene at the property I paid the £60

Brilliant Breakfast! Huge bowl of porridge and the English breakfast included three large thick rashers of bacon, three small sausages as well as egg, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. Electric shower was good. Room clean, staff friendly

My evening meal of lasagne was stodgy. Next time I would eat something else.
