The Parson Woodforde

Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and lovely hot shower. The added little extras including tea, biscuits and bottled water in the room was very nice and quite unexpected considering the cost of the room. The breakfast was fantastic with vegan and veggie options and staff were happy to modify according to personal preferences. There was actually an issue with the room booked and the staff called to inform us before we arrived that was most appreciated. We will be returning in the future!

Room lacked windows except for skylights which was quite warm on a hot summer night. Otherwise everything was very nice.

Had a good feeling from the moment you walked through the door - staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very well-dressed. Bathroom was a bit tight and the extractor fan needs fixing. Bathroom fixtures were good though. It was hot and there was a fan in the cupboard which was really helpful. Monday was Curry night, which was good - food was excellent. Best B&B breakfast in a long time - meat was excellent quality - owner excellent host. Will be stopping again, just make sure you have a look on Google Maps where it is - just past the church - plenty of parking round the back

Absolutely outstanding place to stay in and eat. This truly is a gem, treated like royalty from when we first arrived to book in, the room was beautiful, comfy and just so clean. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and the food and service was amazing. We had a wonderful sleep and breakfast again was just as amazing, we couldn't eat anymore. We have already recommended The Parson Woodforde to our family and we will definitely be returning. Compliments to the chef, all the staff and Allyson for making our stay so welcoming and we will definitely be seeing you again. Sharon

The Parson Woodforde is a very old building that has been tastefully and extensively modernised, and is now a comfortable bed and breakfast with an excellent bar and restaurant. It is tucked away in a tiny rural village, but still not too far away from the hustle and bustle of Norwich. Staff were friendly and obliging and dinner was first class. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Although the cooked breakfasts were excellent, there was little provision for a light continental style breakfast. The room was good but the bed was extremely soft, but we appreciate that this is a matter of personal preference.

The staff were all brilliant; young yet confident, capable and polite and they really made the difference. Breakfast - the black pudding was a revelation! I rarely have it but I forgot to say 'no black pudding' yet when it arrived it looked different and appetising and tasted wonderful! Everything else was great, cooked to perfection. Our evening meal was wonderful too, with a range of deserts that were significantly better than the standard fare you're offered nowadays.

I liked everything and wouldn't change a thing.

Wonderful little find. Brilliant first impression. The photo of the property doesn’t do it justice. Such a lovely and professional welcome. The room was a great size with lots of character. AND THE BED…well it was just so so so comfortable! so much so we enquired where they had purchased the mattress from. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. Tip top service. Every staff member we that served us were so conscientious and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was without doubt the tastiest breakfast I have had in a long time. The vegetarian sausages were really good, and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection! Thankyou for such a lovely stay. I will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

The TINIEST issue of the en-suite bathroom door catching on the bathroom floor. I had to really had to rack my brains to think of that!

the property is in a lovely village in a peaceful location Norwich is about 30 mins away . Food is a real treat the 4 of us all had soup of the day which at the time was roasted pepper and tomato with a mini cheese scone in and it was delicious the mains we had were a real treat delicious and a real plate full you will not be hungry 5 mins after dinner. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic for the 4 of us ( we all had the full English sausage and black pudding a real treat ) there are vegan options available.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and clean and furnished well. Comfy bed, breakfast was great and set us up for the day.

The younger staff were quiet but not so engaging. The access to the property is on a country lane that traffic uses as a cut through and it is in a bit of a blind spot that made it tricky to see to get out of. The traffic did not affect us at night as it was really quiet.

A friendly warm welcome awaits! I had pre-booked the evening meal table, and that was all sorted for me without any issues. The room was cosy, with neutral tones and I loved the colours from the canvas pictures. As a single, female traveller I felt safe at the location. The evening meal was lovely with options for vegan & vegetarian -makes a nice change! The breakfast is freshly cooked when ordered. My stay was peaceful, even though it's a room above a bustling pub, you don't notice the sound travelling upstairs. Plenty of car parking is available and the location is in a nice quiet village. I would definitely go back again!

Room was clean, staff very helpful and friendly. All food was excellent. I had selected breakfast items in the morning, all was delivered and cooked as asked for! I also had a lovely lunch on the lunch deal! Plus 3 evening meals, 2 with friends, all were very nicely cooked and presented. Had drinks in the bar area too on several occasions.. There was a problem with the shower screen being broken in the room noted before my arrival. Alison the owner phoned me to say that I could change room and move after it was fixed. It was no problem at all so I kept the original room. It was fixed the next day after courier arrival of new screen part. Honest, helpful start to the stay.
