Holiday Inn Runcorn M56 Junction 12, an IHG Hotel

We changed our travel arrangements at the last minute and rang to ask if we could arrive a day earlier. Angela was amazing and happily accommodated us even though the hotel was very busy becsuse of The Open. We had a lovely room that was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and really good pillows. The breakfast (included) was of very high quality with all the choices you coukd possibly want. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely return.

The ensuite in Holiday Inns do tend to be very small. Thet said, it was perfectly clean, had a great shower and lovely fluffy towels.

Staff on reception, in the health spa and at breakfast all exceeded expectations. Very helpful and couldn't do more for us. Breakfast really good, lots of choice and attentive staff.

The bathroom sink took a good half an hour to drain (this was mentioned to the receptionist at check-out and she said she would get someone to look at it straight away for the next guests). Considering we were staying with a 1 year old there was room for improvement in the room. There was no fridge in the room which I had expected for the price we paid and is frustrating when there is nowhere to store our daughters milk. The wardrobe would also benefit from being screwed to the wall - it was at a precarious angle and I was worried it might fall on our child if we weren't watching her. For the hotels reference - our room was 422.

It was really nice to stay there and we stayed longer then normal stay was for Christmas to the New Year. It was really nice, breakfast great , staff also very helpful. And we really needed them sometimes. What is amazing that they have starbucks coffee. And we loved it. The coffee in the breakfast room was not really our style, the machines yeah,... not really our coffee. But they had starbucks. But what was the BEST I wanted to have a surprise for my Fiance and they made it really special ! The whole Restaurant was for us and we had the amazing restaurant and staff just for ourselves and the kitchen just WOW! The food was incredible so good. After those two starters and main we were full so we went out a little walk but then when we came in the kitchen and the staff was at the reception and said that they have a complimentary dessert. We had also RoomService and it was just amazing. Great Food like from Mom. :-) So that was just the cherry on the cake! Just gorgeous. I loved them all and they were really amazing. It is not a 5 star but sometimes it doesnt need to be! It is just the best service the best ppl that make the Hotel so wonderful. You are a great team from what i can see... And do the best for all. Thank you a lot and have a great Year !!!!

We didnt liked sometimes the noise from upstairs and housekeeping was just next to our door and had in the morning really early meetings but on the other hand they were really helpful. And so it is you are not in a bungalow. And sometimes the room were too hot like really but its good not bad in this time.

very clean, most the basics, large bar area (not that we were there long enough to use it). lady on check out this morning was lovely! great attitude and really welcoming.

the big spider in the room haha, but can’t be helped. only decaff coffee in the room, which has gone off. house keeping woke us up early a couple of times when we were in really late. 8:30, 9:30 and again at 11am. check out was 12. also, on check in, the man on reception was nice, however he asked if we were sure we wanted a double a room and mentioned there was twins available. as a lesbian couple this was awkward. it would probably be best to not assume a couple had accidentally booked a room to share a bed.

I've stayed at the Runcorn Holiday Inn a few times and have always found it to be a comfortable and welcoming hotel. It is run very professionally and this was especially evident on my last visit which occurred over the Christmas holiday. All of the staff seem to have had a high amount of training, and they are very friendly and helpful. They all greeted me as I walked through the hotel, checked to see if I needed any help or needed anything brought to my room. Despite it being Christmas, the people who were working, were all incredibly friendly, all going above and beyond to ensure that we had a nice stay. The rooms are not huge, but quite comfortable. I had a great sleep each of the four nights I was there. Internet service was of a good quality and is free for guests. There is free parking for guests. Breakfast has a decent selection of hot and cold foods and there are gluten free and non-dairy options.

I'd be hard pressed to find any items to criticise. If pushed, the only thing I can think of was that the corridors were a bit uncomfortably hot, but the room temperature was fine.

Held a dog event, what can I say. Staff were the most exeptional and caring I have come across, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are clean food was good and facilities were excellent. It was a big event with a lot of people attending from home and abroad and I know the overall consensus it what a great venue it his and how dog friendly and welcoming everyone was. Our evening event was superb and again nothing was too much trouble. I have attended similar events all over the world and have never seen such dedicated and welcoming staff. Fantastic and well done!

Hotel staff are lovely and friendly, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and they couldn't help us enough, they are really genuinely pleasant. The room was cosy, clean and nice and warm, bathroom met our needs adequately and is clean. Overall I liked the atmosphere straight away, and that was down to the lovely staff on arrival. Thank you guys.

We did not take advantage of the restaurant or food on offer as we personally found it to be very pricey, There was a great selection on the menu but too expensive for us. That was the only down fall for us. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

First time in this Hotel Booking it very good the staff were engaging and even moved me to a ground level room as I have knee problems if the fire alarm went off during the night, it was a twin but that was not a problem. I like the booking of room service (but I don't understand the extra charge, but you get this at all hotels. I will be booking into this hotel in December for a few days for meetings, I am not sure if my regular visitor account was sent up but that could have been my handwriting it should be stephen-mcclean@sky.com, so all good from me.

We were checked in by Keira, who was fantastic and very helpful, as were the rest of the staff. All good, breakfast was lovely. The only thing that disappointed us was the result of the football match we were here for. Liverpool beat us, (Bournemouth) 3-1! Seriously, we were impressed. Thanks to everyone. 👍

Stayed here for Creamfields and it’s only less than 10 min drive from the festival so perfect location. The staff were so friendly and the lady on reception was so funny, her customer service skills were next level so if this gets passed on hopefully they will work out who it was I just remember her telling me and my mate not to get mud on her lovely carpets 🤣 The room was comfy and spacious too! Will definitely stay here again next year 🙂
