The Hillcrest Hotel

They kindly upgraded me after a very long journey. Staff very friendly and cooked me in visual breakfast to my liking.

You can easily hear next door and they kept me awake

My 80th birthday celebration here The staff and manager so very helpful, nothing too much trouble to make my party the best ever. Elisie events manager. Went out of her way to help organise my big day to perfection Excellent evening buffet spread. Fabulous function room. The party was beautifull and had a separate bar area with seating areas. Not forgetting the resident DJ, he was great. I had a beautiful bedroom. Well done Hillcrest, thank you to all the staff, always greeted with a smile 😃 I have since returned staying over one night as I have lots of relatives near by. Will now be one of their regulars. All my family so imprest with the function room and plan to book future party gatherings there

Maybe breakfast, a little dry standing too long or cooked too early. We went down at 9am

ALWAYS a friendly welcome. Such lovely staff. Worth staying there just for the staff. Rooms are good too though...

Nothing I didn't like - my shower was a bit tricky to manage (had to keep bending down to fiddle with the taps), and glasses rather than disposable plastic cups would be nicer - but these really are just first world problems, and I really don't mind! It's a nice friendly hotel, the rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfortable. Everything I needed.

This was my second visit and have loved it both times. I got a good deal on a posh room and it was worth it!. Everyone friendly. I arrived later than intended and missed the restaurant. The lovely female behind the bar who was extremely friendly then offered me a pie she had gotten from the kitchen for herself!. She insisted I had it and I accepted gratefully!. I travel quite a lot and it is very rare indeed to come across customer service and generosity such as I have received on both my visits!. There may be a couple of tiny things but in my opinion too insignificant to mention. Will stay again when back in the UK again. 👌

Lovely atmosphere, staff welcoming and very professional, we have stayed at this hotel many times and are really pleased to see the renovation taking place are exciting, can't wait to see it when completed. We love this hotel, we travel from Angelsey regularly and this is always our 1st choice accommodation.

Not so much as didn't like, but vegetarian breakfast could be improved but hey I didnt starve.

Room: great view and quiet. The rooms along from 29 on 2nd floor are my favourites and I always hope to get one. Outdoor area in front of hotel is very impressive. Price of the room was pretty good.

Hum from bathroom fan all night long. Double doors leading to lift are noisy when opened. I got back to hotel at 12.05 am one night to find door locked. I had to knock on door for 5 minutes to get in. I do not carry mobile phone with me when I go out. Menu in restaurant is uninviting and expensive. Not changed since my last stay. Bed is a bit worn out and bath needs mastic (but not an issue tbh for me). No soap in bathroom is an issue for me.

I stayed here Friday to sunday this week for a wedding we was attending with my wife the reception staff was brilliant they couldn't do enough for us and we had food and sat outside and nigel the manager/owner was a brilliant guy he couldn't do any more for us definitely staying there again thanks guys for a lovely time

There wasn't a facility for tea and coffee in a morning down stairs were we could of had a drink and sat outside

room was dark and quiet, had a room cooler. coffee and milk replenished . towels changed and beds made. a major hotel chain are still not doing this. and in that area Hillcrest was cheaper. had a pizza from the bar, great value and great taste. I had an issue with the bathroom light, I explained this is no issue to me, but was fixed before I got back.

there was a bit of dust could have been cleaner.

Its a lovely hotel we got married in the hillcrest in 2014. So we was celebrating 8 years of marriage. Its looks amazing with the new decor we enjoyed it very much & the breakfast was lovely. Thankyou for our stay

I liked everything i have nothing to complain about. I just thought there looked to be a lot of under aged drinkers in the bar

Since the hotel has had a revamp, it is a great atmosphere. The food is great value for money and tastes amazing. The rooms are good value for money however we stay so often due to the AMAZING staff members. They work so hard to put smiles on customers faces and are so lovely to talk to. A big thank you to Nickie, Karl and Emily for greeting us with happy smiley faces upon check in !!! These guys are Brilliant and the reason we return to the hotel so often
