The location was very convenient for visiting our friends who live nearby. We both found the bed very comfortable and slept well, despite the warm air temperature. Bedside electric fans were thoughtfully provided, adding to our comfort. The room was well appointed with plenty of electric sockets and looked out onto the pretty garden. The shower was fantastic - great water pressure. Breakfast was delicious!

The room was fairly small with little room for clothes storage but adequate for our short stay. Parking space was a little tight when all four rooms were occupied.

The School House is the best B&B we have visited. It is a charming property, retaining the character of the School House, with wonderful nods to it's past. Gary and Helen were perfect hosts; Gary kindly showing us to our huge room and confirming breakfast arrangements. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, with lots of attention to detail. The location was perfect, as we were attending a party in nearby Hatton. We even had time for a pre-party drink at the Cat & Lion, conveniently located across the road! Helen greeted us for breakfast in the dining room, which had a lovely relaxing ambiance. Our choices for breakfast were served whilst hot, with the poached eggs cooked to perfection. After gathering our bags, we sadly left The School House and it's amazing hosts, Gary and Helen.

We really could not fault The School House or our hosts, Gary and Helen. As I am originally from Warrington, I knew exactly where The School House was located on the junction. Gary and Helen advise you of this on booking, so it was easy to navigate and park.

Everything was very clean and tidy and the hosts friendly and helpful. We would be happy to stay there again in the future. For our needs of visiting relatives it was in an ideal location. The School house had quite a bit of history which was nice and it also appeared a happy place to stay.

There was not anything at all to complain about. The only thing purely as a personal choice I would have preferred an extractor fan in the bathroom to get rid of steam but opening the window worked fine.

The room was very comfortable- simply decorated - but with all equipment one wanted, including fans available in the bedside drawers ready for very hot weather. The en suite bathroom was very spacious, with good big shower. Breakfast was excellent- full English had EVERYTHING including baked beans in a small jug which was a nice touch. Helen and Garry were cheerful, hard working hosts who run a very nice B&B.

Hosts are very stringent about cut off time for check in - could be more accomodating in this area especially if Travellers are unable to make it due to circumstances out if there control i.e. traffic accidents etc

Did not require breakfast as we were visiting family and were having breakfast with them. Very friendly welcome when we arrived, very pleased with our room, this was only a few minutes drive from our family so most suitable for us.

The only downside was we would have preferred a walk in shower, but we managed with the bath with shower. The bathroom was very nice and well presented.

The building is beautiful and the way it is beautifully decorated and furnished really takes you back to your own school days, the owners Helen + Gary were brilliant hosts nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean and very well thought out with extra little touches and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Helen and Garry were wonderful hosts. The room was very clean, warm and tidy. The breakfast was exceptional with the eggs cooked to perfection alongside superb sausage and bacon. Garry even offered me a lift to Manchester Airport to catch my flight home on Saturday morning. Truly amazing customer service.

Nothing at all. My stay was lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when I am in the area. So close to the Motorway network and my place of employment.

location was convenient, the gentleman in charge was very welcoming, has potential but needs a bit of thought

double bed with two single quilts which were paper thin and the room at night was freezing I would honestly ask the owners to sleep in the bedroom for a night to experience the cold

Getting together with other guests around the breakfast table. A very spacious room.

Owing to the very hot weather, we had to leave the windows open all night, so we were disturbed by traffic noise. But we live in a very quiet cul-de-sac!
