A very warm welcome. Friendly staff and locals. Landlady Debbie is very friendly and so helpful. We had a meal in the evening and breakfast. Both very enjoyable and very reasonably priced. It is basic accommodation and that is reflected in a very good price especially for the area. It’s close to the main road so some road noise if windows open but not unbearable. It’s extremely close to the Bath and West showground and is a good location for other areas of interest there. Lots of outdoor space for walking and we were made welcome along with our 2 dogs.

Friendly landlady and staff that went above and beyond for every customer. Room was clean and comfortable and en suite was good size with shower. The locals who frequent the inn/bar were so friendly and funny had us laughing and treated us like we were part of the community including the friendly micky taking. I will go back again and would highly recommend! The prices of food and drink was very reasonable as well. Very close to the Bath and West Showgrounds and on outskirts of Shepton Mallet so great location.

Loved it all!

We have stayed at the Prestleigh Inn several times over the years, under several managers, but now the pub has been transformed. The managers were very helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed very comfortable. The food was good - the homemade Chicken Kiev really delicious. Friendly (and dog-friendly) locals, a fine pale ale from a local brewery and cosy atmosphere made for a great visit. The current managers had only been in the pub for just over two weeks, and have really turned the place around. We've already booked ourselves in again.

The bathroom was rather small.

Friendly welcome, especially if you love dogs as we do, easy check-in, staff very helpful, lovely peaceful setting. Very good value.

Generally the room was very clean although a little worn in places, some dirt/tobacco in bedside drawer. Door to room looked tatty, shelf in bathroom in the way so you can't lean over sink. Very disappointing view from window - although this can't be changed the roof could be kept clean and tidy and maybe a few pot plants? One towel was a decent size, one was too small to go around you once. Could feel springs in mattress but slept OK.

The new owners had only been in charge for 4 days but did an amazing job of coping with the locals as well as a big bunch of those working the Classic Motorcycle Show which is 3 minutes down the road. Lovely couple running it, very friendly and an excellent new menu that kept us tired persons happy. Plenty of parking and quiet once the dining room emptied which wasn't too late. Clean and comfortable beds and working shower in Room 4. Small but good value and what one would expect for the price. I hope to be back there next year.

The only thing I would have liked was a proper espresso machine for coffee.

Probably the most helpful, pleasant, and enthusiastic staff I've ever encountered at a small, independent pub/hotel. Food was fantastic (try the cheescakes!), and the drinks reasonably priced. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Fittings and furnishings a bit dated in places, but the current landlord/lady are new and haven't had the chance to make it their own fully yet. That'll come with time. No AC in the room on the hottest day of the year, but can't really hold that against the,

Chloe and Dan, who ran it and cooked, were incredibly helpful, friendly and made our stay. They were aided by their lovely dogs, Bella and Max, who didn't bark once during our 4 night stay, giving love at all opportunities. The price reflects the fact it needs refurbishment and Dan's food was very good! It is within sight of the Showground making it very convenient for a trip there.

Needs refurbishing, but this is in hand.

We skipped breakfast in favour of an early start so we could drive before it got too hot so can't comment on that. But the rooms were great for the price, and our food and drink the evening before was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful! Beautiful location - we enjoyed the view, the sunset and seeing the pink supermoon!

We were there in a heatwave - room was very warm. But the room had been ventilated before our arrival as much as the old building allowed!

The Prestleigh Inn is a friendly family orientated pub with accommodation and restaurant attached and, whilst the decor is slightly dated, indeed, as a side statement, if you want the Ritz with pristine accommodation this place isn't for you, however, if you want a very friendly, homely place to stay then this is ideal and, for the prices charged it represents excellent value for money. The room we had was of good size and had en-suite facilities plus the usual tea/coffee making facility and TV. We decided to make use of the restaurant facilities for breakfasts and evening meals and were more than satisfied with the choice, quality and quantity of food and prices charged. Many thanks to Debbie and Gary.

Very little negatives associated with the place. The owners have only been at the place a short while and are working hard to improve the facilities
