Breakfast was laid out in the morning for us to help ourselves. Homemade Grenola, Sourdough Bread, Jams and Fresh Croissants. Very clear instructions especially for the Ninja and Toaster to get the best from the Croissants and Bread. Fruit and other cereals were also available. The single B&B room is at the top of a delightfully featureful cottage. En-suite is small but perfectly useable. Do watch out for the beam in the bedroom. (We had clear warning from the owner and reviews.... so no bruises or bumps!). Great location close to town centre restaurants and several pubs.

A sheet with additional covers for warmth are provided. Our preference would be for a lightweight duvet... But we both slept soundly enough.

Good location and quaint old cottage room in attic. Comfortable bed and good en suite bathroom facilities. Continental style breakfast included with many homemade components such as muesli, bread and jam. Was able to come and go as I pleased. Hosts friendly and helpful on the couple of occasions we coincided.

Steep narrow stairs and access might be an issue for some but OK for me. No coffee or milk in room although kettle and teas provided. Low beams and ceilings requited care to negotiate.

This lovely accommodation exceeded our expectations! Having arrived in the dark we managed to get a glimpse of the front room. At the front door we were greeted by the lovely hosts, Sue and Brendan who took us through. The house is simply unique and very beautiful. It has 3 floors (and a basement for the hosts use only). The front room had a very home-from-home feel. Sue showed us the kitchen which was amazing - wooden beams and original wooden doors but also a very modern feel to it. She then took us up to our room which was in the roof of house so it had a low ceiling and a small window. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean and tidy. We had a little heater in the room which came in handy during the night and morning especially because of the recent cold spell. Breakfast was superb, the table was laid out for us complete with homemade bread (which was a wonderful treat) and condiments, cereals, yoghurts, juice and hot drinks. It was just a case of help ourselves. We have friends in Wallingford and every so often meet up with them for evenings out. It's always been difficult in the past to find reasonable accommodation but not any more, this is now our go to place and with hosts like Sue and Brendan we couldn't have found anywhere better.

There is nothing to report. Everything about our stay was perfect.

The couple who host the accommodation at this lovely old cottage greeted me and made me feel so very welcome from the off. Before being shown the room they explained how breakfast worked and all the homemade goodies that would be waiting for me. Plenty of different tea and coffee to choose from too. The bread, toasted and with raspberry jam, was wonderful. The room up two small flights of stairs was also very welcoming and had everything I needed for my weekend stay. There is a low beam and ceiling area at one side of the room where care needs to be taken, these were pointed out but this sort of thing you can expect in a cottage of this age. I was lucky to be able to park outside with no restrictions. The location was perfect for an event I was attending and I also went to a very friendly pub, just a short walk up the road, for a quick pint and bowl of pasta.

There really is nothing not to like here and the only reason I dropped a mark from a perfect 10 was that for me, the bed was a little firmer than I normally like. Don’t let that put you off, it’s just a personal preference and for a couple of nights was fine.

The hosts were so so sooooo lovely to us. We had a good catch up with them over dinner and listened to good music. The house was full of warm laughter from stories about our lives having being from totally different cultures. The house was super clean and comfortable. Sue was sweet enough to pack us take away breakfast and Bred was a very helpful with fetching us the wine from the celar. I rate them 10/10 no doubt!!!!!

Absolutely nothing!!

Not only is the cottage stunning - a real period gem in the heart of the British Countryside, but Sue goes out of her way to make you feel like a friend or member of the family. Everything from the quaint features of the house, to Sue's welcome notes and re-tyding your room/leaving you water when she knows you're out & likely to come home shattered goes above and beyond the regular expectations of a B&B stay. 12/10

That I don't personally own this beautiful property myself or couldn't stay longer 🙏💜🤪

Very homely and comfortable accommodation. Hosts, Sue and Brendan, were very welcoming then left you alone but were contactable if you needed them. Breakfast was left for us to have when we wanted. An amazing selection of homemade bread, granola and jams with fruit, juice and yoghurt. Perfect.

Nothing, although stairs to our room were up two flights of stairs so could be problematic for people with mobility issues.

Breakfast was ample. Not a cooked one but mostly homemade items. Delicious bread and jam. We were left to eat in privacy, Sue came to see us later. Adorable, higgledy piggledy house, tastefully furnished. Welcoming hostess.

Not that we didn’t like it but do ask Sue where to park your car. It’s not immediately obvious.

Charming hosts who were both helpful and friendly. Superb continental breakfast taken outside in the sunny garden, quite something in March! A pleasant enough manageable stroll to the town centre. The location was pretty quiet and the property itself had delightfully tranquil feel.

Two flights of stairs to the room could be challenging for a less sure-footed person and the lack of headroom in a significant part of the room made itself felt once or twice! I would stay again.

Sue ans Brendan are very friendly hosts who made me feel very much at home. The home made bread and preserves for breakfast were delicious. The bed was very comfortable so overall an excellent stay.

Despite being warned about the low beam in the bedroom I still managed to bump my head - entirely my own fault of course!
