I had a lovely comfortable overnight stay at The Coachmakers Arms in Wallingford and was made to feel very welcome. My room was cosy and warm and beautifully decorated with all the facilities that I needed, and the bathroom was great too with lots of hot water. The bed was very comfortable. I ate downstairs in the bar in the evening and enjoyed a delicious home-made pizza. I chose to have the breakfast the next day which was also delicious with a choice of cooked or continental. I will definitely stay again. I visit Wallingford regularly.

Everything about the Coachmakers Arms was absolutely bang on what we hoped for after another day of walking the Thames. Such a warm welcome from Lynne, her staff, and her dog! The Coachmakers is a beautiful old village pub with cosy rooms and a very 'home from home' atmosphere. Food was excellent at both supper, and breakfast before our departure. We left a jacket behind by mistake and Lynne posted to us so promptly that it almost beat us home!

There is honestly nothing we didn't like about the Coachmakers Arms. If a homely pub stay is what you're looking for; you've found it.

Loved the pub in a great location with a good atmosphere. Everyone, staff and locals very friendly. Big shout-out to Luke who gave a great welcome and was very informative. Easy to check-in and out. Definately stay again.

Unfortunately the owner Lynn was away so there was no dinner or cooked breakfast available. To be fair to her, she had pre-warned me well in advance and she did offer a "breakfast bag". There were plenty of alternatives in the town.

The landlady and her staff made us feel very welcome. The service is personal and of a very high standard. Small details made a big difference - when we finished a drink in the bar the barman came over and cleared up and brought us another round. Meals are delivered with condiments, you don’t have to ask for them. The bar is friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast here.

The owner of the property, Lynne, is super kind and always was available. My room was super cossy and quiet. At the beginning, I was a bit concerned of staying in a pub, but the room facilities are actually in an independent building. So, I did not hear anything and could rest all nights. I really enjoyed staying at this property and will stay again for sure!

Staff very friendly and the owner has a very cute dog. The beds were comfortable and the room was modern and welcoming. Fan was provided for the hot weather. Didn't drink in the pub below as it was a short stay but it's a very nice little building. Bus routes were straight forward and close to our stay. I would like to return.

Only downside for me was the blinds, they let in quite a bit of light and I'm quite light sensitive so I did wake up quite early.

Very friendly and efficient welcome. Comfortable room, nicely done up, with lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. A lovely stay, thank you. Great to have real mik in a mini fridge for a morning cuppa!

I guess if we were staying for a week the room would get a bit small but for a night or two it was perfect. Overlooks the pub garden so potential for noise disturbance if you want an early night, but we had no problems - by the time we got back in the evening everything was quiet. So no complaints!

This was the perfect B&B for us completing the Thames Path. Lynne was so friendly and welcoming. The pub served delicious pizza for dinner and breakfast the next day was wonderful too. We loved being able to order our full English the night before as it meant we could set off early on our next walk. The room is recently decorated in a luxurious style and the enormous bed meant for a perfect night's sleep. Thank you, Lynne and your team 😀

We stayed at the Coach house as a start to a walking trip down the ridgeway. We had a dog who was most welcome. Prior to the trip we needed an extra bed and this was no trouble and good communication with the host. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Really, really recommend.
