The staff/rean were amazing, friendly and welcoming and very accomodationg throughout our stay Thai restaurant food amazing Love the outside areas, and walk to farm shop. It's an experience and great to see
We liked it all but the room as quirky/eclectic as it was ..was in need of an update and not practical. 1 double plug socket, sink was odd and had to empty the bowl into a stone sink unit and water hole in cabinet was tired and weird. Bath water come out of ceiling and there were stains around the material padded ceiling from this. Infinity bath but would have taken hours to fill and so much water and hard to get in/out as no handle and taps were on window ledge so had to lean right over to operate. Separate shower good though It didn't ruin our stay but could be improved. Bed was very comfortable but very dark for makeup and I'm not sure an open bathroom/room with the toilet is ideal

Staff very friendly
Expensive.... Room was nice. But for the price slightly disappointing..... Very Clean & can't complain re quality but we both found for the cost slightly disappointing compared to other rooms shown in photos on website & Booking.com. Room was very dark without much lighting & whilst we accept they trying to get "sexy" ambience it was so dark could find/lost our stuff alot of the time...... Copper bathtub was "nice" but thought for the price of Room would get jacuzzi type bath in room. Water in bathtub tricled out & took ages to fill up.6 Very nice place but for the price of Room & restaurant expected more compared to other hotels we have stayed at offering the same type quality.

Very quirky, unusual decor, something different, terrific food, very helpful staff, nice touches like welcome champagne and free tea or coffee room service. Bed was very comfortable and the toiletries smelled good with nice new fluffy towels provided. Very nice to have a separate lounge area in the downstairs from our adjoining rooms.
Our bedrooms were tiny and Rooms were extremely dark - small windows and poor lighting. Really limited hanging space. No plug sockets anywhere near a mirror and no full length mirror. Bathroom had extensive black mould and smelled damp and musty. I did mention to staff who apologised and offered a discount. I do not expect that in what is advertised as a luxury (and expensive) hotel

I think for the price a cooked breakfast should of been included and that there should of been facilities in the room to make a hot drink like tea, coffee, kettle, milk etc
Drinks were overpriced, bar staff were overrun and seemed like nobody knew what each member of staff should of been doing. The only saving grace was the gentleman from Newcastle who saw we had been waiting a good 15 minutes and served us straight away. Sorry I didn't catch his name but he was wonderful

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is beautiful, outside bar and terrace was lovely. Dinner was exceptional, breakfast, more than enough with the Continental selection.
Having booked a deluxe double room, we were surprised at how small the room was. We had stayed here quite a while ago and remembered the rooms being bigger, even though we'd only had a standard room. There was barely room to move round the bed and the saving grace was that the room had air conditioning. There was just a tiny wardrobe and no other storage space. The wet room was very small too, and the water from the shower reached the carpet in the bedroom and did not drain away properly. We didn't complain as we were only there 2 nights, but did consider asking to be upgraded (we would have paid) but as we were out all day, we didn't do so.

Literally everything was stunning to the eye, wouldn’t change a thing. The service we received from the lady on reception was exceptional, really personal. We didn’t catch her name, but she loves haberdashery shops if that helps identify her! The food also didn’t disappoint, we are from both the English & Thai menu.
With the exception of the receptionist & 2 or 3 waiters, we found the staff very serious & not especially friendly for such a high end setting. Even a simple acknowledgment was missing with some. This didn’t spoil our stay, but would have been the icing on the cake. The smallest final thing - we were in block 3 & would love to have had a soft closing external door.

Really beautiful hotel and grounds. Staff were very helpful. We ate in the Thai restaurant, the food was really good although a little pricey. We stayed in the garden House which was really nice. Room was very spacious and bed was comfortable.
Check in is not until 4pm and checkout is 11am, for the price (which was £400 for the night), you don't get the room for 24 hours). The rooms are very dark which is fine but could have done with a dressing table with better lighting to do hair and makeup. I think there are some deals on this hotel with other websites which included dinner (which we hadn't booked) but the waiter must have got us confused as he said when we were ordering that we had £45 each towards our evening meal and a free bottle of wine, but on checkout we were charged full price for everything. You only get a continental breakfast with the cost of the room, would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast included in the price.

Room very noisy , could hear everything from upstairs room! no shower (not informed of that). Didn’t even think to ask as think of that as standard. very dark I could hardly do my makeup. I know it’s part of the crazy bear fun interiors but more light as an option would be helpful in a practical level. One light bulb was broken and the dressing gown was torn with holes in- you shouldnt really have that at nearly £500 per night.

The hotel was as crazy as portrayed in all the media comments I have read. Staying here was an experience. The quirkiness of the hotel was refreshing after so many boring box rooms and bland designs!
The hotel seems to be showing signs of its age and popularity and that was a little dissapointing for the cost to stay/eat there. Although the food was totally acceptable, it was not exceptional as had been hoped.
