The location is ideal. You are on top of the beach, shops, eateries and bracing walk along the sea path. The balcony view top bedroom is such a bonus. The property is so clean. Were there when weather cold and windy but property was warm and cosy. The bath infront of top balcony was tempting but as only there one night too busy packing in much in going out sight seeing but would use if we stayed longer. Great it has parking and Tracy at the continental Hotel where you pick up key card and map directions was so helpful, warm and friendly. She warned us about the lip up to parking spot at the property make sure you take it slow when you pull off to leave. Sloped ceiling in top bedroom is low so if you are tall be mindful as you make your way to getting in and out of the bed. Love the clothes hanging space lights. Fresh milk teas coffees juice and bottled water provided. The hard wired hair dryer in twin room hanging space more powerful than expected as usually this type of dryer isn't. If you are tall and like to stand to look in the mirror to dry your hair you have to crouch as the mirror is on back of the low door of clothes hanging cupboard. We loved the property and will try one of the associated hotel rooms next time.

These are not fault comments as we don't think the property has any just observations - We did a one night mid week booking out of season in Feb so the price was great but not sure we would pay the extra to stay there at peak times when the rate is higher. Be careful on the turned stairs up to the accommodation if you have any mobility issues.

Fabulous location- Check in was ok, just check in hotel continental and parking was an easy 5-10 minute walk. (For those complaining, at least you don't have to pay extra for parking!) The room was clean and bright, and in the best little location. You can hear the other guests, but not annoyingly so. Really enjoyed it, and for the price, location and room quality i would stay again!

Perhaps a little reminder to all guests not to slam their doors and be courteous of other guests would be fabulous :)

The room was perfect and great value

We did have to listen to a lot of noise coming from the room above into the early hours. Almost sounded like they were in the room with us.

Location excellent - right on the sea front with stunning views from the 2 balconies. Within easy reach to the town and all facilities. Furnishings are of a very good standard and the property was very clean. The steps to the second floor bedroom are very steep and tight, so would not be suitable for anyone less agile.

Car parking for the second car driver is not as plentiful as suggested in the property description which implies that there is a large car park at the hotel in case of need - this is not the case. We ended up parking in the nearby public car park which cost £26 for our one night stay. The check in experience at the main hotel was poor.

The Boat House accommodation is close to the Beach with a limited sea view, however, very quiet and comfortable. We felt that perhaps more biscuits should have been provided. Parking at the Boat House is first come, first served which is an not acceptable solution when visiting the Continental Hotel Group accommodation; we were , however offered parking behind the Continental Hotel at Penny Cottage, albeit first come, first served again!

Poor parking facilities and when visiting with a prestige car, concerned that parking could not be reserved in advance.

The location is fantastic. The room is smaller than it looks and does not really have a sea view but we were there to sleep so didn’t matter. Very clean. Staff at the Continental were very helpful. Walk to the lobster shack. Great service and food plus a superb place to watch the sun set.

Parking. The hotel car park is a fair walk from the apartment and did feel very secure. I paid to park at the harbour car park next to the RNLI which is less than a minute from the apartment.

We loved location, it is a small room, but it suited for our purpose to only sleep and shower there as we spent most of the day outside. We loved that it had fridge, great size tv and kettle to make tea/coffee.

A bit late check in at 3pm, as nearly half a day is gone by the time we can access room and unpack and settle in. A bit pricey, but it was bank holiday weekend so it has something to do with that i guess.

Stayed in the Boat House apartment and loved it - two amazing sea view balconies, whole place decorated really nicely and right in the centre of town. Really beautifully finished and characterful. Separate bathrooms for each room (only one with shower). Spacious, quiet and right by the sea.

No separate living space, and no kitchen - but some nice comfy chairs in the downstairs bedroom, and a small area with a fridge, kettle and milk and biscuits provided. We were perfectly happy with that, everything we needed! Low roof in the upstairs room as it's in the eaves but very manageable and a lovely space.

The location of the property is great walking distance to everything. If you are looking to spend most of your time outside this is the great place to crash. There is also an option of free parking on a 1st come basis it’s about 10 mins walk from the boathouse which is fine.

There isn’t a lot of room/storage for 2 suitcases. The beds are very large for the room however this is not a major issue.

Within 20 min being in the boathouse apartment, my husband, booked another night , the cleanest is excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming, the history the lovely lady receptionist at hotel one Tuesday night was so informative the book on of this town history of the family that made what is now many years later is most impressive, ( I’m sorry I didn’t ask this lady her name ) everything in this apartment is of a high standard, yes upstairs is not for tall people but what do you expect it’s the upstairs is the original part , neither me or my husband needed anything more than a walk ( it is the winter months) and to eat and somewhere warm to come back to ,trust me it’s very warm with just one radiator not all they provide to warm it very cosy, I seriously can’t recommend this place enough .

The apartment is just fantastic
