Lady on the reception was lovely so helpful booked a taxi for us for the races later on she couldn't do enough not sure what her name was small with dark hair she was lovely. Room was lovely and clean couldnt fault it bathroom a little dated and leaking shower but overall a good stay was just disappointed with the breakfast

The breakfast was a little chaotic tables dirty they got the order wrong and we had about an hour wait food cold !! My husbands order was wrong missing eggs & toast i had eaten mine and he was still waiting for his !! Would go somewhere else for breakfast next time but would stay again

Very spacious room at good value for money. Beds are very comfortable and there's plenty of space for luggage and hanging up any clothes. Bathroom is decent, good pressure from the shower despite it looking like it may not be up to much! The bar is great. Food comes out very quickly after ordering and is nice (my friend and I both had fish and chips) and there's a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There's a great choice of food for breakfast too. 11am check out is very welcome! At the end of the day, if you're staying in the area then this is a great option. Excellent price and what you get in return is more than worth it.

The bathroom is perhaps a little dated and could do with modernising, but this is clutching at straws really as the current bathroom is more than adequate. After all - why fix what's not broken?

We had everything we needed for a reasonable price. The reception staff were super friendly! The room was a great sized family room even though it was for just the two of us, clean, warm and in a nice quiet part of the hotel. All tea, coffee, milk top ups were always displayed in the reception area, to pick up whenever, no need to even ask and we even enjoyed 3 great breakfasts!!!

For the price we paid we cannot find anything to complain about! If I have any negatives to find, then I would say the pillows were a bit flat, but that's because I like feather pillows and that the climb up to the hotel from the car park is a little steep and when covered in wet leaves, a bit of an assault course!

Conveniently situated off M6. Was worried noise from M6 would keep us awake it didn't. Very quite room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fantastic, cereal, fruit , yogurt, fruit juice followed by freshly cooked scrambled eggs with bacon and toast. Really hot and incredible value for £72 B&B. Will be using again in future to break my journey from London to Scotland. Staff super friendly

Complimentary shower gel / shampoo had to go and get our own assumed it would be in bathroom. Bathroom due upgrade looking a tiny bit tired but still functional

The room was nice, tidy and clean, also spacious, no issues with the room or beds, the beds were comfy, a little noisy if like me you move around in the night. The hotel was really quiet when we stayed and very little noise from the hallway outside

Whilst this isnt a dislike, the bathroom was a little outdated, nothing to worry about as it all worked, just a note, the room went from freezing at midnight, to roasting at about 4am, again just noting (the window was opened to cool the room down again)

Really good value for the room. Family room for 2 nights was £100. Food deals are good too. Good shower. Spacious room. Beds changed too. Located 1 min from the M6.

Bit of a discrepancy at breakfast where we made to feel guilty for not paying, whereas we expected the breakfast to be added to our room. Staff member was not professional at all (even though we weren't happy of course, the staff member needs to remember who the customer is and could have handled it a bit more discreetly). Otherwise all good and we ended up having the breakfast complimentary which was a nice touch.

It's always a nice stay clean, location, staff and reasonable price. There were a few little hiccups this stay but wouldn't stop us staying again.

When you go down stairs to get to rooms there's always a musty smell and a few ceiling tiles are missing assume they had a leak at some point but never been sorted. And some rooms need updating this time all the tapes were hard to turn on or off. And we couldn't get the shower to work without the bath water running at the same time.

Always clean rooms friendly staff. Have stayed here many times and always happy to return.

There's nothing really but on the ground floor in the stair well the roof is open where it seems they had a leak a long time ago this as left a bad musty smell that's never gone away. Which I do think this should be addressed as its obviously not going away with time as this must have happened over a year ago now now the ceiling hasn't been replaced and the smell hasn't gone.

Very comfy bed, lovely quiet location and good facilities such as hand wash, bodywash, hairdryer and kettle with teas and coffees. Breakfast is available in the pub but we didn’t have this. Although it is next to a pub you can’t hear a thing, and we stayed on a Saturday night. The staff at the front desk are very friendly

The main light was flickering like crazy so we couldn’t put it on. However, we just used the other smaller lights in the room without an issue.

The location was ideal and easy to find. The room was comfortable and had everything that was required for the purpose of my visit. The shower was excellent with instant hot water and mixer taps that were easy to use. Also the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Limited plug sockets in useful areas of the room. No USB slots for mobile phones and IPADS. I wanted a double room, but was given a family room which meant that I had limited floor space. Some noise from the nearby busy roads was slightly annoying.
