A quiet and centrally located place to explore the Jurassic coast. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was larger than we expected for a family room. Our bed was a superking size and very comfy which is the first time we have had one like our own at home which was a treat! The evening food was excellent as well as the various cooked breakfasts available and great coffee! Maybe minor to mention but very useful for children, we were entertained at night with a pool table and darts:)

As we stayed for a few days we would have liked to have had healthier food options like fruit/yoghurt for breakfast and salad options for the evening but I think this is quite common place for pub food offerings. The service after our main meal was non-existent so we needed to find a waitress to order our puddings. Whilst the bathrooms were in keeping with the character of the rooms, a thermostatic mixer is needed for the showers - the adults and children struggled to find the right temperature quickly.

Clean, comfortable room, with a walk in shower, good breakfast cooked to order. Nice white bed linen and towels. Very comfortable bed. Good supply of quality tea/coffee and milk sachets on the tray in our room. Easy parking. Quiet location, didn't get any noise from the pub or the road. Location was convenient for exploring the Dorset coast. The road to the pub was a bit obscured but there is a very helpful sign on the main road that we saw just in time, or it would've been easy to drive past! We had a quick one night stopover but the carvery smelled delicious as we arrived and it was a shame we had other plans.

The shower in our room was very hot and there was maybe a control knob missing so I couldn't enjoy a cooler shower. Nothing else, I would stay here again :)

Pretty pub Spotlessly clean comfortable beds spacious family room delicious cooked breakfast Lovely staff at Breakfast Lovely decor Gorgeous garden & surroundings

The evening meals were quite standard, the portion sizes too small and could be much improved. For example - Home made pies would be much better than frozen ones. The young evening staff need more training and much better interpersonal skills. They weren’t rude at all but rather very inexperienced. There is a bell that rings from the kitchen when food orders are ready. The noise is really loud, offputting and annoying. There are much better ways to let staff know to collect food without it interfering so much with the guest experience. Scalding hot water. No bedding/towel/loo roll change over for a 2 night stay.

The room was a brilliant size for a larger dog and couple. The whole Inn was extremely dog friendly, including enclosed pub garden perfect to whip the dog out in the evenings and early mornings. They even offered a sausage in a little dog bowl during breakfast. We ventured during the days, so chose to eat and drink in the pub all three nights - every meal we had was excellent! Very satisfied with the pricing and service too. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of cooked foods. We would absolutely return!

The double bed was two singles attached together, so there was a gap in the middle - this was a little bit annoying.

The location was great as we’d come from durdledoor and it was literally ten minutes up the road. They couldn’t find our booking so we were given a larger room (well, it was two rooms joined). The food was great, the staff were really helpful with anything we needed. The room had great facilities - shower amenities, coffee, biscuits etc

Our beds were two singles pushed together, so it was kind of uncomfortable as a double bed as there was the dip in the middle so you couldn’t lay near the middle. The only other dislike was the bell used for staff to get food from the kitchen, it’s really loud and continuous throughout dinner.

Lovely place to stay, good location to monkey World. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great for me and my 2yr old. Breakfast was good and including in the price. Good selection of tea/coffee/chocolate in the room.

When walking into the room, the bed looked huge, sadly it was 2 pushed together which resulted in my son sleeping uncomfortably in the crack (he woke up a few times crying and moving around) thankfully a big thick towel wedged down there solved it, but not ideal. Would have preferred a double bed or an actual king size whole bed.

Staff were very friendly & helpful both in the evening and the morning at breakfast. Room was big with great lighting and bed was very comfortable. Desk could have been a bit bigger to make it easier to work on, but that wasn't an issue on this occasion.

Kitchen closed at about 8:20pm, just before I arrived, but staff were able to direct me to some takeaway options a few miles away; by the time I got back (about 8:45pm), the staff had almost left, so I was able to get a beer and go to bed. Whole place was closed by 9pm and staff all gone. Once you've checked in, there is a separate access for residents, so that would have been fine, but not sure what would have happened if I'd arrived at 21:20 rather than 20:20.

The room was a generous size and the bed large and comfortable. Evening dining times suited us, it wasn't over busy which was maybe a shame for the pub but great for us. Full English breakfast was great and served hot. Doing some homework on the location it worked for us as it was quiet spot off the main road but easily accessible to durdle door and other places of interest Generally there was nothing not to like

I can see from other reviews people had said the walls were thin and I could understand what they were saying but fortunately everyone that was staying seemed respectful and quiet

Was very clean and spacious we stayed in the family suite would definitely recommend to others the breakfast was very good

The evening meal was not so great my children had chicken nuggets and these came out over fried and in edible the manager was apologetic though and removed these from our bill the service was very slow I had to get up a few times to ask for someone to take our order and it was not even a busy night if only this was better as I would have scored it a 10/10
