Best boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed in, from check in ( chap walked my bags to my room ) to breakfast! I’ve not even checked out and can’t wait to leave feedback! Best hotel I’ve stayed in by far! Thank you! Staff at reception last night and In restaurant are great! The lady & guy In restaurant no what there doing! The food was great to! Everything! Comfy bed the boutique attention to detail amazing, bar fantastic - cozy! I will be back food lovely 🥰

Loved everything, I checked out of the priory because beds had the cheapest Matress the staff lied about ability to get taxi to Sculture by the lakes, the priory in wareham is bad if you’ve got any sense your stay here 100% at 4am in the priory the whole building moved because MOD Bovvington Camp backs onto the grounds at priory and when the tanks fire the whole hotel can hear it! The rooms rattle like there’s a ghost 👻. I checked into the bear hotel an absolute delight!

From management to cleaners, all personnel were charming, helpful, and did their best to meet all requirements. The breakfast was excellent, the menu thoughtful and not overwhelming. Food beautifully prepared (very good poached eggs). The young serving staff were sweet and helpful (though perhaps could be a little more attentive in ensuring there was always adequate cutlery and napkins on the table). Altogether a most pleasant and comfortable stay and I would certainly visit The Bear again. And I'd love to try the restaurant for lunch or dinner; from the little I saw of the food it looked delicious.

We stayed at the Bear Hotel for two days while attending my nephew's wedding. The hotel was charming, the staff were all very nice and super helpful. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint was that they did not have luggage racks upon request. In the room we stayed in there was no surface in the room that was large enough for even a small suitcase. I think we may have had one of the smaller rooms in the Inn, so with two suitcases on the floor there was barely room to walk around the bed and it felt like a bit of an obstacle course.

Provide luggage racks upon request.

Rooms are incredibly well decorated and named after various bears. We were in Rasputin and it was very comfortable. Beds were very comfy to sleep in. Shower room and toiletries were lovely to use. The Full English breakfast was fabulous and the Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg on toast was amazing. Staff polite and helpful and quick to serve us once we were seated. Breakfast room is beautiful and well decorated. Spent the evening in the bar sampling the cocktail menu and the following night in the restaurant. We were well looked after and would definitely stay there again.

Linda, the manager, could not have been more helpful. The room was quite small but very well appointed and the hotel itself had clearly been refurbished to a high standard. The fact that all the rooms were named after famous bears was a great touch. The location was perfect for our visit to Monkey World.

Staff were efficient but not particularly warm or welcoming. The breakfast choices were good but several times requests for soft boiled eggs arrived hard.

'Pooh' Room was really lovely and the bathroom gorgeous : the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, but felt a bit more information about choices would have been useful. Liked the fresh flowers in reception, where we received a warm welcome!

Lack of parking! Carparks are available, but we had to move our car a few times, which is a bit annoying... Being picky, some areas are a little scruffy (doors to courtyard, window seat in bar area upholstery torn and wing chair in front dining/snug room needs repair) 'H' has dropped from 'Hotel' outside main entrance.

Breakfast was reasonable, staff needed to be asked to provide spoons for muesli and top up yoghurt on both days, but were friendly and overall efficient and quick. The room was very nice and comfortable, great bathroom with walk in shower and “traditional“ bath tub, all very clean and welcoming!

The room faced the roadside and was a little noisy, but very quiet during the night. Window couldn’t be opened very much and therefore room was quite hot.

Very good generally, particularly nice staff.

As with all hotels, the wash basin was so small and made worse by the shelf above it, that was difficult not to make the floor around it wet. I know from experience that decent sized basins are hard to find. Also, I find it ironic that modern furniture is painted 'Brown' when there is plenty of the real stuff to choose from. Please remember that travellers may have big luggage, there was nowhere to put it.

Location was great with easy access and multiple parking options close to the hotel. The hotel is small but comfortable with plenty of different spaces for eating including an outside terrace. Staff were exceedingly helpful and cheerful - nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was spotless with a really good shower and plenty of fluffy towels. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had with choice and freshness.

Due to exceptional heat, the room had a fan but no air conditioning so would have been little more comfortable with.

Beautiful, quirky and spotlessly clean character property. Issues with our room’s heating and it was unfortunate as the room and bathroom were gorgeous. Staff were all helpful and we were given a generous discount from our bill so would return happily. The most comfortable and quality beds, handmade with luxurious bedding, immaculately clean.

The heating in our room did not work and by the time we arrived and returned from a theatre trip, there was no one to ask about it. same early in the morning.
