Grove House Bed & Breakfast

Linda and Jonathon were sublime hosts, as was Penny, their dog. Andrew and I could not fault their hospitality or home in anyway. Vast knowledge about the their surroundings, York and beyond. I cannot recommend Grove House or their hosts more. From the bed, to the shower to the beautiful breakfast. Our stay was just wonderful.

This bed and breakfast is truly a gem and one of a kind. We have also posted a similar review on google as well. Linda and Jonathan truly care about their guests and are committed to ensuring we feel at home, at ease and comfortable. We had an amazing and relaxing stay here and adored being greeted by little Penny. Such amazing hosts with hearts of gold. The cakes, tea and breakfast were delicious and we loved the sausages. The train station is literally a short walk, peaceful location and kind neighbours. Our room was immaculately clean, cozy and had all the amenities provided to us. We recommend Grove House to anyone looking for a getaway that is a "home away from home." Thank you Linda, Jonathan and little Penny! (Ailene and Mason)

Everything. We have stayed in a number of B&B's and hotels over the years and the Grove outshines all of them ten fold. The owners made you feel you were one of their family and nothing was too much trouble. The garden was a gardeners delight and I would be proud to have a garden that was this beautiful and the pictures attached do not do the garden justice. When you were sitting in the garden it was pure heaven listening and seeing the many birds that visit the garden, it was extremely pleasant and relaxing in this manic world we alll live in, a perfect 'garden of eden'.

It was a lovely place,close to a little train station to go to york,knaresborough,Harrowgate,leeds wich takes minutes ,, very good hosts welcoming and food excellent,will deffo be going again in the warmer months , 2 pubs within walking distance for evening meal ,,

From the moment we arrived, we were in awe. The garden is stunning. We got welcomed by Linda and Jonathan with coffee and homemade cake in their lovely garden. They are the most hospitable hosts one can ever wish for. Our room was decorated with style, and was light and bright, as was the whole house. In the room there were plenty complimentary drinks, homemade cookies, and chocolate. Breakfast was excellent. The sausage and bread were all homemade. We even got Yorkshire pudding as a treat with breakfast. It was the fist B&B ever where we felt sad to leave the hosts behind. Jonathan and Linda are a wonderful couple and I highly recommend their B&B to anyone who like to visit York. Thank you Linda and Jonathan. You have a BBBB - best British B&B (actually best in the world!)

Linda and Jonathan are the perfect hosts from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a pot of tea and delicious home made cakes. Everything about the B and B is perfect, the cooked breakfast was excellent, the bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable and mini bar in the room with complimentary drinks was replenished daily. The location is also perfect, located in a beautiful village with the train station a 5 minute walk from the guest house and only one stop away from York Centre. We were kindly allowed to park our car in their garage and didn't need to use it once during our stay as the train journey to York and Harrogate/knaresborough was so convenient. We cannot fault a single thing and can safely say this is the best B and B we have ever stayed in. Thanks again to Linda, Jonathan and Penny for a wonderful stay.

Everything. We were stuck without a taxi due to busy times and Jonathan offered us a lift to the wedding that we would've been late for. The breakfast is amazing with the home made sausages and actual bacon sourced locally. Also we made a new mate for life with Penny (the dog). Thank you for everything and making our stay special.

Wonderful bed and breakfast with marvellous, diligent hosts in Linda and Jonathon. Walk to dining at local pub, walk to train station for York access and ring road access to explore Yorkshire by car. Breakfast spot on and great bed with ensuite including bath. Simply, highly recommend.

Couldnt fault.

This is by far the best B & B we have ever stayed in . Actually it felt like we spent the weekend with friends. Nothing was too much, the rooms are stunning, the breakfast are amazing and the hospitality was second to none. They are the most amazing couple and we had the best stay ever. Also must mention Penny the dog who is delightful. All in all the most amazing 4 days .
