Good shower. Full selection of toiletries and tea/coffee making items. Really useful info along the way and in the room. Great location. Breakfast was excellent, everything you could want. Easy for parking. Would have come by train if not for strikes but the station is also very handy.

Honestly, nothing poor to report, as simple as that.

We received a very warm welcome by Danny who took the time to explain all the necessary details regarding the accomodation, explained how to get into town easily and gave us some suggestions for walks. What a great start this was! Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, there were enough storage opportunities and we loved the nice gesture with the welcome-cake in the room. We found the location to be perfect and appreciated the opportunity to park our car nearby.

Our room was directly next to the stairs and also due to the age of the building, we found the walls to be like paper and only whispered in the room because we didn't want to disturb the other guests. Luckily, we had ear plugs so it was okayish during the night. Breakfast was so-so: We liked the self-baked bread a lot; a slice of cheese or ham in addition to jam would have been nice. Also, the cooked breakfast was a little plain, unseasoned, and the meats were too dry for our taste.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Very clean rooms with roomy shower and hot water. Excellent breakfast options and a wide rage of cereals, fruit and breads available. Great location with only a short pleasant walk to the minster, pubs, shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed and clean towels and bedding.

Could hear every creak of the floorboards, water being run from taps in other rooms, toilets being flushed in other rooms. every footfall in other rooms, chatter from other guests and TV in adjoining rooms. Ceased at approximately 10.30 pm but started again at 07.30 am when guests prepared for breakfast/departure.

We stayed in our own part of the building at the back ,it was called the Ebor suite .we checked in around 1 ish because the owners where in the main building ,and showed us where to park/go. Had our own parking outside around the back off road. Own courtyard ,living area ,bedroom and smart bathroom. We had breakfast in the main building, though suffering with a tooth extraction earlier that week ,had to turn down the full english i had pre booked. From what i saw was a shame because it smelled and looked fab. Stayed here before and never dissapointed . Please all dont book the Ebor suite as i would like to get in there again sometime soon.😃

Nothing ,was perfect, shame i was not poorly as could of enjoyed our stay in York more. Going to have to pop back to this great located place Again Well done Guys keep up great work.

Location was perfect, under half a mile to the centre of York, didn't have to take the car, B&B, clean beautiful room, everything worked, TV, kettle, nice selection of teas, coffee, milk, bed was really comfortable, wardrobe, fan, hairdryer, helpful staff, shower was amazing, very nice bathroom, everything was perfect, it was our 15th Wedding Anniversary and they put a banner and a rose in the room with slices of cake which was a very thoughtful touch, breakfast was so nice, wide choice of cooked breakfast, cereals, breads to toast, jams, tea & coffees, couldn't have wished for better, nice folder with loads of information about York, recommending places to eat in the day, eat in the evening, pubs, shops, wifi was good, would definitely be recommending to friends and would be my first choice if we went back to York, we loved it. We did have a little problem with the door, put code in and push hard with your shoulder to open the door, once we mastered that it was all good. What a beautiful B&B it was.

There wasn't anything that we can say wasn't good about this little gem of a B&B, one of the best we've stayed in and we've stayed in a lot of them over the years.

Fran greeted us with a big smile, she showed us the breakfast area and asked us to pre-book our cooked breakfasts the night before, there were a lot of choices and variations and a specials board! Different homebaking was on offer at breakfast with a wide choice of breakfast bar options. You did not leave hungry. Lovely table service from all the staff. We had the Ebor suite entirely to ourselves, Fran had put wine in a cooler and homemade banana loaf out to welcome us, along with a banner saying Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary, which was a sweet touch. There was plenty of tea, coffee and biscuit options in the room. An iron and a hairdryer were available. The bed was comfy and inviting and the bathroom was clean, fresh, spacious and nicely decorated. Shower gel and shampoo were supplied. There was a large TV with a good choice of channels. There was a useful folder of recommendations where to eat, visit, etc. The courtyard was lovely to have to ourselves. We were very fortunate with amazing weather, so we enjoyed a drink out there in the sun. Would definitely go back here. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The B&B was only a 5 minute walk from York minster, the room was perfect in size with a really comfortable bed and great shower. Lovely selection of teas and coffee and bottles of water in the room. Body wash and shampoo available in the room along with a sewing kit and hairdryer and a large double wardrobe.

Very picky because it asked....curtains that let in less light would have been nice and a couple of bisuits to have with a hot drink. There was a sainsburys within 2 minutes from the B&B so we bought some for in the room.

A very friendly guest house in a quiet area but was in walking distance from the centre of York. Lovely breakfast and a parking permit was given to us so we could park over the road from our accommodation.

We liked everything about our stay.

Clean and homely guest house. on a quiet street. Excellent location within a short walk of the city, Minster, restaurants and shops. Plenty of information provided at the house to help us navigate, hosts kindly marked our location on a tourist map with short and longer walks into the centre. Very useful information folder with recommended places to eat, pubs etc. Good communication from hosts regarding parking facilities. Nice selection of teas, milk and biscuits in the room were very welcome after a long day. First class Full English breakfast (beautifully presented) with good bread and pot of tea set us up for the day.

We found the bed hard but that is purely personal.

After a couple of really negative Hotel experiences this year, I am so relieved that this hotel was so wonderful. The hotel was less than a 20 minute walk from everywhere we went, the staff were lovely, the parking facilities were great with easy to follow instructions and the room was an amazing size with a comfy bed! We had a lovely view too and I was beyond impressed!

The ONLY issue we had was that there was an emergency (I think) green light in our room which meant it didn’t get properly dark. It was directly above my boyfriend’s head and he struggled to get to sleep initially but other than that minor thing, it was brilliant!
