Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Birmingham Fultondale / I-65

I enjoyed the breakfasts. I missed the greek Yogurt on Sunday (maybe they were out) and I really like the fruit bowl in the lobby for guests to take from all day. I also liked how quickly and thoroughly the cleaning staff came in and cleaned our room. I really liked the location by many restaurants, gas and close to the highway.

The pool and hot tub needs to be cleaned and shocked. The walls had the brown slimy stuff growing and the water wasn't clear. It was brownish. The facility was nice but the water needs to be addressed.

It was clean comfortable & quiet despite ongoing construction. Everything was convenient and breakfast was delicious.

I reserved a King Suite and requested a room with a hot tub because on a previous stay at THIS hotel we had a hot tub. I was told upon arrival that there are no longer hot tubs PERIOD. My room appeared to be a King ROOM, not suite as the bed area was NOT actually separate from the living room area. If both TVs were playing at once, they would overpower each other. That's NOT my idea of a suite. I would have chosen a different hotel had I known there were no hot tubs. It was part of the birthday celebration I got the room for. All in all it was not a bad stay but not at all what I wanted or expected. I paid $300+ for TWO nights in a regular room. That's not a good value.

The hotel was very clean, nice, the breakfast was very good, we like it was close to all the restaurants and stores and we felt safe staying their.

We didn't like the pillows they were to thin not comfortable at all to sleep on and the bed was to firm for us. The room need to have a air freshener because the room had a full scent. It's a good thing I had some disinfect spray with us to spray the whole room down.

Staff was welcoming and friendly. We had an issue with our toilet not flushing upon arrival into our room and they sent someone right up to fix it.

The facilities are a bit dated and could use a renovation, especially the elevator. Elevator is jumpy and doesn't feel safe. Rooms are bland and have no decor.

our room was clean and comfortable. we had a great stay for two nights, the breakfast was great with many options. we are gluten free and found plenty we could have. it was also close to the Interstate and very convenient to food and shopping options.

Everything was great except for the noisy neighbors above us. I chose not to complain to prevent antagonizing the overhead guest.

When we arrived, the local police were on site to apparently remove a trespassed person. Fortunately, it was still daylight.

Breakfast was good. The Restaurant was close by. Rooms was very big

The swimming pool was very small. I didn't get in but my 18 year old and his friends did. The ceiling had paint patches and you can see the AC at the bottom was tore

The staff was so sweet! The pool area was awesome. The location is perfect as it is close to everything. The staff even stopped and talked to my granddaughter about her toys. She was so happy because she is 5 and loves to show off her dolls.

We didn’t have anything that we didn’t like.

The Staff was very friendly. The overnight Lady suggested some places for us to visit. They kept our room clean and stocked the entire week

Everything was perfect

Free breakfast was nice, bit hot foods (eggs, meats) seemed to be low or out both mornings we were there.

The pool area was a disaster because of all the unattended children
