Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gardendale

The rooms were big. Has a bathtub. Love the cabinet with sink, microwave and mini fridge. Big bathrooms. Nice firm beds. Soft sheets. Plenty of towels. Love the seat in the window. Decent breakfast. Didn't get to use the pool, due to it raining. Lobby was clean and nicely decorated. Only 1 elevator. It was kinda small but clean, fast and well lit. The Staff were so very friendly. We ended up staying another night

Very Clean and Quiet Well Supplied.

During my check in I was ignored twice before I had to abruptly tell the Clerk, That she was skipping over me, not assisting me with my Check-in but tending to others that came in the door and off the elevator after I was asked to wait, as soon asI walked in. She assisted 2 others attempting to check in someone ahead of me before I corrected her that she completely dismissed me from the door! Then I was charged $40 for a smudge of WASHABLE makeup on my pillow case!!!

Good breakfast selections, cereal, waffles, fruit and breakfast sandwiches. Clean room. Beds were comfy. The room was quiet. Plenty of outlets to charge everything. Close to the highway for easy access. Walmart right next door was great for items we forgot. Felt safe.

When we would return to the room in the evening it smelled musty. The mini fridge froze things. No dresser, just cubby things.

It was refreshing after a long day of driving. Check-in was easy. Our rooms were clean and refreshing. The beds were good, I got an excellent night sleep.

Breakfast was sparse, but in all fairness, we got there in the last hour. I always like some eggs, bacon, sausage, or a warm protein to start my day, but either I missed it, or it wasn't offered. The OJ was good!

Everything was great. All the staff we encountered were super nice and helpful. Breakfast was great with a nice variety. The room was very clean and the bed slept so good. I liked that it was tucked away so there wasn't alot of outside noise or roads but it was also within walking distance to Wal-Mart. I also loved that they had a laundry area because we went for a festival in it rained so much that we were covered in mud from head to toe so I was able to wash all of our clothes instead of taking them home 2 days later smelly, wet and muddy. I'd stay here again if I happened to be in the area.

The room was very clean! The breakfast was also very good and the area was very clean. The water pressure in the shower was also excellent!

The floor in the lobby when you first walk in was a little dirty and sticky and the vending machine that only takes debit cards does not tell you that it charges your card $5 for a $1.50 item

The location was convenient, right off the interstate. There were many food choices nearby. The pool was awesome.

The room was a bit small. The receptacles would not hold phone chargers so charging was hit or miss. The side door we used to go from the pool to our room would not open with our key card and we had to go to the front of the hotel and through the lobby to go back to our room.

It’s clean. It’s friendly. It’s comfortable. Plus, they have tons of breakfast choices you don’t always see like little cans of pineapple juice. Pool was clean.

It’s obviously popular because of its value, so get to breakfast early on weekends if you’re the impatient type (like a certain member of my family) and don’t want to wait in line for a waffle. Also, I wish the pool opened at 9 instead of 11. That usually allows a little swim time before having to go do “trip” stuff. The extra hours will also give people who like the pool area a little quieter time before the pool starts filling up with lots more people.

After a long day of driving, it was so nice to settle into a clean, spacious room and then spend time in the pool. The staff members were very nice. We enjoyed the buffet restaurant next door due to the short walk, the excellent food, and their friendly staff.

A few more hot choices at breakfast would have been nice, although there was plenty available to satisfy our tastes and hunger.

Room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was little small (little counter space), but the main room was comfortably large. Plenty of pillows and towels.

The room was a little dark when the curtains were closed. Just one lamp between the beds and some accent lighting. But I was there to sleep, so it was okay.
