Holiday Inn Express Phenix City-Fort Benning, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was delicious.

The staff was not very helpful. I had emailed a few weeks before arrival that we needed to check in early and checkout late. Upon arrival, we were told those requests were only granted to "members". The response to my email was we have to see what's going on when you arrive. I've NEVER had an issue with either of those requests at any other hotel. We were coming to Columbus for the State Republican Convention and I as a delegate, had to be at the Convention Center at a certain time on the arrival date and could not leave the convention on our departure date until late afternoon. My husband was not a delegate so he had to find something else to do to cater to my schedule. This was very disruptive and aggravating to both of us.

I made a reservation for 2 rooms at Booking.com for 2 rooms. I provided my confirmation number but when I arrived, I was told my rooms were cancelled due to wrong card information. I had a fraudulent charge on my card 3 days after booking this and had to receive a new debit card which I was providing to hotel upon arrival AS PER DIRECTIONS SAY CAN PAY AT SITE. I never cancelled and was told they tried to reach me, and I was coming from Florida after work. I work in a jail as a nurse and are not allowed to even have our phones in the jail during work time. I did not have an email or a VM stating it was cancelled either. I went for my grandmother’s funeral 4 1/2 hours away with 6 adults and was to only pay 368.00 for 2 rooms and was then charged 500.00 instead because of this mistake. I have used Booking.com for years and never had a problem til now. I am very upset. I am out more money on top of paying for a funeral as well and wasn’t like I wasn’t going too pay and even said our arrival time would likely be between 1-2 a.m so why am I getting charged sooner when payment is to upon arrival. Someone needs to fix this because this not right at all. Other than that, the place was great to stay at.

The rooms were comfortable and the hotel was clean plus the breakfast was pretty good

One thing that I didn’t like was that the week I visited the pool was closed I feel like the guest should have been informed other than that it was good

This property was very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very pleasant, even the ones who weren’t assisting you.

It’s in EST, and I was so excited for the extra hour of sleep that did not happen. It’s not the hotels fault, but apparently the city runs on eastern time, which is odd.

everything was very nice, smelled wonderful and in good, working condition. it was clean and welcoming.

the only downfall would be the pool was not nearly as nice as most of the pictures show. it was clean and a decent size but it’s made of some type of rocky material that serious scratch and cut you if you aren’t careful when getting in and out and walking around in it.

The breakfast was a delight on Friday, however Saturday and Sunday the meat not brown on both side, some not brown on either side, omelet over cooked

Request a receipt before I left and couldn’t get I but I paid there, and still don’t have one, not good business

Great room and layout.

The tub floor was rounded on the edges enough that my husband and I both felt unstable moving in the shower. It threw each of us off balance. Also I tried to call the front desk several times between 10:30-11:00pm to confirm whether the area was on Central or Eastern time, but no one ever answered.

didnt stay for breakfast as we had other family to have breakfast with otherwise we would have stayed but from what ive seen seemed to look pretty good..

not much we didnt like other than the beds was a little to high for shorter people but a stool was available for the problem which was ok but otherwise there was not much to report..

I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Miss Pam makes delicious food and her charming attitude in the morning is very pleasant. I also enjoyed the shampoo/conditioner/soap in the room. I can’t remember the brand, but it’s very decent quality.

there was some damage to the inside of the door of my room and 1 dead roach, but the room was very clean

Great, clean room, very comfortable, the lady at breakfast was Awesome!!!! The buffet had sausage, bacon, oatmeal, grits, cinnamon rolls, delicious!!! A little pricey but a good stay overall.

Price advertised was nor what I had to pay at the hotel. It was a $50 difference.
