Columbus Marriott

This property is top-notch. From easily being able to park near the front, to the friendly front Doorman/bellman, and the front desk who were very accommodating and quick to recommend restaurants in detail up on my request. I was even told a brief history of the area and the building itself by one of the front desk staff. I'm a history nerd so I loved every bit of that! Went as far as recommended a history museum down the street if I had time during my stay. The Hotel was beautiful and historical but at the same time completely modernized. the accommodations in the room were very comfortable with a soft bed as well as a comfortable sleeper sofa.... exceeded my expectations. Close proximity to excellent restaurants, one of which was recommended and we went there and it was the perfect spot for what I was looking for. Had a recommended stroll on the River walk way which made my short stay complete. One of the reasons I chose this property was for an airport shuttle and transportation was the hotels luxury sedan which was easily scheduled to take me at the exact time that I need it. The driver made great conversation, having been the longest employee there for 40 years I believe he said and had great anecdotal stories for conversation to the airport. I would say one of my top five Hotel experiences of my life even though it was just a brief overnight. The kind of customer service and attention to details that I would find in hotels double or triple the rate. Kudos to The Operators of this property, clearly your employees love working there and it shows in the five-star treatment of it's customers.

The hotel was not even close to being full. So I would have preferred a better view than the parking lot. Internet had plenty of pictures facing towards the small downtown area. However I'm quite sure if I had asked they would have accommodated if possible.

We loved the location and its accessibility to downtown Columbus.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. The morning we were scheduled to checkout my husband spotted a huge palmetto bug on the wall over a bed.

The lady at check in was great, everyone we came in contact was so friendly!! The room was spotless, the buffet was great and the lady that replenished the bars kept the food fresh and hot. Loved our stay there!!!

The staff at this location is absolutely amazing. RT Angela’s customer service is EPIC, next level even.

I understand the Marriott has a certain standard to maintain but to charge almost 300 for a room for one night and not include breakfast is absolutely ridiculous. removing all of the microwaves is unacceptable.

The breakfast was great. I would change the coffee in the rooms. It was bitter. Like a breakfast blend or Nantucket blend. Also not enough creams for someone who likes it lite. Maybe store extra in the fridge? Other than that I found everyone and everything great! Thank you. Marilyn Simm

Location was really good, parking was very comfortable.

Breakfast was too simple and the restaurant area had some bad smell. One if the bads had some hair on it. Team was nice and welcoming.

Lobby was clean and smelled really good. The convenience of Houlihan's being there was a plus as well.

Room could have been vacuumed and swept better. There was a pink feather on the shower head. Weird.

Really enjoyed the historical features held by the building and lobby etc. It seamlessly went well with the vintage/nostalgia theme throughout downtown Columbus, GA. Side not. The ladies at the front desk took extremely good care of us. Extremely pleasant to be around.

Although the room carpeting was dark, you could tell that it wasn't well vacuumed

The parking lot was not adjacent to the hotel property. I had to walk a block to go back and forth to my car.
