Coast Inn at Lake Hood

Perfect location close to the airport with free shuttle service. Not noisy and certainly doesn't disturb your sleep. Very reasonably priced. If you are an aviation geek then this is the place for you. The hotel is aviation themed with great pictures, it is right next to a big seaplane base and the Anchorage Aviation museum is a 30 min walk. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed for a day prior to our departure and this hotel was a lot better than the one we used on arrival.

staff was exceptional! Staff was available to answer questions to assist us. Freezing our fish for our stay was an excellent service. Staff willing to shuttle us to airport if we wanted to return our car early. Staff willing to go above and beyond!

The room was clean but noisy. a few postings would be great as to what time to when it is for quite time. doors slamming, people walking up and down hall, walking and talking, standing in the hall talking. I would’ve been calling the desk every 15 minutes after 9:00pm. even at 1am due to someone out my door talking. place was renovating so some noise is ok but we weren’t that close to where the work was being done. maybe workers?

There was no breakfast which had been advertised in the listing on booking.com. I only stayed one night so I didn't have to experience it but I want to weigh in on a new policy I saw posted at the desk. It is posted that maid service is only by request. I don't appreciate that policy. I believe it is using Covid as an excuse to give less service. I want to at least have the maid empty the trash, refresh the towels and supplies such as coffee and paper.

We arrived late and were not able to spend the entire night due to flight problems on the way from LAX. The Inn is being updated and remodeled and will look very nice when finished. This is the closest hotel to Anchorage Airport, Piper's, the restaurant , is quite nice and their Reuben sandwich was the best I have had in a long time.

Close to the airport (NOT walking distance), shuttle to and from airport, restaurant on site that overlooks Lake Hood and you can watch the seaplanes fly in and out (very cool). Our waitress at the restaurant was Paris, and although she was very busy (only one there) she was smiling, friendly, accommodating.

Needs updating, floors uneven, musty smelling, obviously been around for a while - but I read the reviews prior to booking and it met the expectations I had formulated. It was one night and it was convenient.

I love the new renovations, the interior of the hotel is very pretty! The Pipers Restaurant is fantastic with great food and a great view of Lake Hood where seaplanes are constantly coming and going!

Free breakfast is free breakfast. I was disappointed to find that it was a free continental breakfast. The front desk clerk said, "it is a continental breakfast not a regular breakfast". Then on the booking sites this needs to be changed to continental breakfast so that there are no disappointments.

The Coast is still one of the best, if not the best, value hotels in Anchorage. Their staff, from front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant, are friendly and quick to help out! It is a great choice to overnight in Anchorage. If you haven't eaten at Pipers either you are missing out. Thanks to all that work at the Coast for making it my "go to" when coming to town!

It was close to the airport, clean, comfortable, it was fun to sit outside at the restaurant & watch the sea/float planes land & take off and, the entire staff was so friendly!

There's no elevator and we had several overweight suitcases we had to carry up the steps.

Room are really good and bad is great,I really felt great staying in a your hotel,I hope I will come again!! And food was delicious too!! Thank you! :)

Schedule driver in a morning supposed to be more polite,with don’t expecting some tips money ,then to guest gave him if he or she has,no to put hand in a front like I have to pay him something,I felt little bit uncomfortable because I didn’t have cash with me,just cards,otherwise everything was okey :)

Very close to the airport and hotel provided a 24hr shuttle. We had a beautiful room with separate seating area including TV- just what we wanted to relax in the day before a long journey back home to the U.K. Restaurant on site was also very useful.
