Dimond Center Hotel

Great location, literally next door to a mall and Walmart. The front desk staff were very friendly. The bathroom amenities were of good quality. The sofa chair was so comfortable I could have almost slept there! My husband thought the immense bathtub was the best one ever!

A huge negative was the open window with opaque glass between the beds and the bathroom. It made it tough using the bathroom at night because the bathroom light was fully visible in the bedroom. Who would ever design such a feature - certainly no one ever staying there! We stayed for two nights so that became an issue for us. The breakfast attendant must have had two bad mornings in a row as she was not at all pleasant and we never noticed her wiping down the tables or chairs after guests had left. Two suggestions - a sign in the second floor hallway indicating where the elevator would be very handy as well as a sign indicating rooms numbered 1-15 are this way and rooms 16-30 are this way!

first time to Alaska- this hotel is older, but is very well kept. the family who owns it are natives. the lady we dealt with was super accommodating! all staff were friendly and ready to assist in our ever need. the shuttle service was great, even at 4:00am! breakfast was amazing everyday - great variety, fresh and hot coffee throughout the day, which we really appreciated. rooms are very clean, soak tub is so nice! beds are comfy- I’d stay there every time we we’re fortunate enough to visit Anchorage again!

it was in a location that was easy to get to other places. Right next to a Walmart and the mall. The staff treated us with such kindness and respect. Especially a certain one. She is the reason that we will choose this hotel every time we come back. We loved the entire experience!

If I had to pick one thing, it would be the revolving door at the front. But there is a normal door next to it, so it’s no big deal.

This was my wife and mine first trip to Anchorage, Alaska and our stay at Diamond Hotel was accentuated by the polite and friendly staff, not to forget Ron, the shuttle driver, whose knowledge and experience about Alaska was to our advantage. He gave us places to visit and also took time to explain each tourist attraction. Thank you Ron, we benefited from your expertise.

Friendly, efficient staff. Huge warm room with microwave. Walmart next door, with Alaska souvenirs and groceries, Dimond mall nearby for shopping and entertainment. Breakfast was plentiful with do-it-yourself waffles.

Lacking hooks to hang winter clothing. Would be great to have a shuttle to the city center. Staff could do with more support.

The room is super comfortable. The location is prominent and close to many sites and locations, including the Airport. Tons of restaurants nearby. Staff was very good. I also loved the fact that it is right next to a Walmart to buy small time items very quickly.

The room was spacious and very clean. I was impressed as well with how quiet it was. The best part for me, however, was the tub--simply amazing! It was HUGE, spotlessly clean and you can even watch TV from it.

The bed was a bit too firm for me. I did not have the most comfortable night's sleep, but that is a matter of personal preference.

Space is a key attraction for this hotel. Big comfortable rooms. Included breakfast is also nice though some issues were encountered. See below.

Breakfast: a very solid approach given current world conditions. However there is a pack of consideration for people with dietary restrictions. I had a problem with this during my stay and heard of at least one other guest with a similar problem. In room entertainment options are decidedly lackluster, you cannot even rent a movie; plan accordingly. Also make sure to bring your own snacks.

The room was big with extra space to move around. The bathroom was a bonus with a large soaking tub and a separate shower. The breakfast was not bad for a pre-boxed breakfast and there were good choices for drinks and other breakfast foods if we didn't want the hotboxed breakfast. The location was nice. It was not in the downtown area, so parking and getting around was easier. Traffic was lighter and less congested and there were a lot of restaurants and shops around, including a Walmart right next door. It was quiet too.

The lighting in the room could have been better. The torch lamp by the desk was dim. The side table lamps were small halogen lights. They put off a lot of heat and can be dangerous if miss handled.

Loved it. Everything was so convenient. All of your staff are wonderful! Enjoyed breakfast a couple of times and it was all great. Drank lots of coffee!!! Lonnie was the gal that checked me in. She's just great!!!!

Nothing could have been better. The thermostat in the room said 60 degrees, but it certainly wasn't. I turned it down that far because I like to sleep when it's cool. Being on the ground floor, I didn't want to open the windows.
