The property was really well kept. The room and bathroom size and layouts were very nice. The bathroom has good quality finishes and excellent water pressure. The bedding was excellent. I especially liked that they didn’t use blankets and a stiff quilt on the bed that don’t get washed and changed with each guest. I liked that instead they used a duvet that was had a clean fresh cover for each guest’s stay. Like everyone else, loved the cookies at check in and the complimentary wine at happy hour!

The WiFi was too weak to actually work in my room. Also my room was a basement room so it was rather dark. It needed more light fixtures with brighter bulbs that could be turned on with 1 or 2 switches, instead of a little knob on each lamp. Lastly, the carpet wasn’t nice- old and slightly smelly. I could tell it had been cleaned many times so it was saggy and perfumed. Since it’s a basement, the should replace the carpet with wood or laminate.

Check-in was easy, we'd called ahead to make a reservation and had no issues with the service. We were surprised that the Inn was right off the freeway, so was pleasant not having to find our way throughout San Luis Obispo to the Inn. When we left, the on-ramp to the freeway was right there as well. Other times we've had to hassle with trying to find the hotel/motel location in unfamiliar locations.

We've gotten used to having breakfast as part of the room cost. Whether the cost of a simple breakfast, was included or at least placed on notice that breakfast would not be included would have been nice..

The Inn is lovely. Decor is somewhat quaint, which is not necessarily our taste, but it was very nicely done. The room was large and well appointed, perfectly clean and perfectly quiet! Bed was large and comfortable. Location is about 1 mile from the town center but it is a pleasant walk to many restaurants, and a short drive to Cal Poly campus. The hotel was full for our stay, but still had a very relaxed feel.

Our room was a little dark, but I think most rooms will have more natural daylight.

I liked the clean room, sheets, fluffy towels and bathroom. The fridge was already plugged in and cold when we got there at 4pm. Close enough to restaurants.

The bed and pillows were a bit too hard for my liking. I got a charge of $25 for amenities (maybe because we asked for bathrobes?)... or maybe the cookies and wine weren't technically free anyway. I wish they'd include in the welcome card they give out which extra requests get charged. The jacuzzi was not that clean looking. We didn't try the pool so I can't comment on that. The lady who checked us in wasn't warm and welcoming. And we didn't know the Apple Farm restaurant only served breakfast.

This service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was cute. It had a shabby chic vibe. The room was very, very clean. I love the extras like the wine glasses, cold free waters in the little frig, magnifying glass in the bathroom, extra fluffy towels. The room was spotless and had character.

Might be time for some new pillows, they seemed a bit lumpy and the bed was comfortable, but I was aware when my husband rolled over. I wish the restaurant had been open for dinner.

We loved the people who worked there and we love the Apple Farm charm. We had to stay in the smaller room due to availability and think if we stay again, we will try to get a regular size room.

We have stayed at and visited The Apple Farm several times before, and so we were expecting there to be that adorable gift store. We really missed that. Also, the restaurant wasn't the same atmosphere in the sense that there weren't as many baked goods and it wasn't as busy, so it didn't feel as festive. We understand the pandemic and economy effected this so we hope for you that business will be building up. Please open the gift shop again. The Apple Farm used to be a super, super special place. Thank you!

The inn has a homey feel. The room is been recently upgraded. Staff was friendly.

There is a “resort fee” of 25 that is excessive (it’s not clear what this is paying for).

Great location. Close to downtown and freeway.

Our room was not clean or attended to. Coffee was not replaced in the room. Had to ask at front desk.

This is a very pretty and charming property with some lovely touches. We stayed in one of the "Trellis Court", motel-style rooms which were decorated with the same charm that prevailed throughout the complex. It's rare to see any room with pretty pictures decorating the walls let alone a motel room, added to that were the lovely country chic touches in the soft furnishings to make the room cosy and inviting. There was even a gas "log fire" on a timer which did a good job of heating the room (there was another heater in the room which was not on a timer and therefore a little more practical than constantly turning the timer which only went for 30 minutes - being a small room, however, it didn't take long to heat). The bathroom was compact but had an excellent shower that didn't leak water and everything was well-placed to make the most of the space so that it didn't feel cramped. There was an extra blanket and pillows in the cupboard which also offered a place to store some luggage. The bed was comfortable and for a short stay where you don't spend a lot of time in the room, we found it to be very good, clean, comfortable and very attractive. There were a couple of little added extras like a sweet treat on arrival, wine tasting coupons every evening as well as tea, coffee and hot cider on offer in Reception. Don't be fooled though, this is all built into the cost (as we learned while sitting in Reception and listening to the staff explaining room charges to potential guests) - no matter, it was still a nice touch even if you do pay for it!

The Restaurant was not open when we were there but we did think it was a little strange that a property with an on-site dining facility would not offer any kind of breakfast option in the rates. The room was also quite small with not much room for luggage - the wardrobe containing the television took up a lot of room and we had to close the wardrobe doors to walk past the end of the bed. We wondered whether a wall-mounted television and a low, narrow cupboard against the wall at the end of the bed (for extra storage) wouldn't be a better option.

The restaurant had terrific food and the staff were all friendly and efficient. Our room was on the ground level, which we specifically requested due mobility issues for my husband (thanks for this!) The room was facing the back, shaded, woody part of the property and it was nice to be able to have our shades open during the day and still enjoy privacy. The wine tasting each afternoon (we stayed two nights) was a lot of fun and we met some really nice people, enjoyed some interesting conversations. The host at the counter (Adrian) was terrific. The property was close to town, a quick drive down Monterey Ave. and the receptionist marked the map when we checked in with parking locations in town and was very helpful with navigation and suggestions.

Our room temperature was great, considering the heat, but it was a bit dark so we needed to have the lights on even during the day. The king bed was a bit on the firm side for our liking and it was very high, presenting a bit of a problem for my husband. It would be a nice touch if there was disabled parking spot(s) near the entrance at the far end of the main building for those who struggle with access. We miss the old apples in the rooms and would have liked postcards for purchase to send to a couple of friends.
