Mission Inn San Luis Obispo

the room was exceptionally clean. The AC and other electrical stuff was in working order.

parking was alittle tight but manageable.

It was great that it was just near a trolley bus stop to go to the farmer's market on Thursday evening. The receptionist was helpful in directing us there so we could go. It was a very comfortable room.

I wish the hotel had advertised more how good a place San Luis Obispo was to visit. We only booked a night there to break up our train trip from LA to San Jose. I knew nothing about San luis obispo, just that it was a convenient place to stop. If we'd known how beautiful it was, we would have stayed longer. So maybe don't assume that guests know anything about the town. It maybe well known in California, but it's not known in Australia. Which is a shame as it was gorgeous. We loved it and were sorry we had to leave it so quickly.

This hotel is a vintage place. If you want a Hilton look, stay at the Hilton. That said, while this is an older property, the closeness to the creek and the placement in town are superior. THE STAFF are hospitality incarnate. Super comfortable stay, so for the value of the hotel, it's awesome.

This is not a flashy property, but everything you need works. Also, the people taking care of you do above and beyond. My dogs were very happy here.

The beds are SO much more comfortable than any other surrounding hotels that are far more money. As well as the bedding! The mini fridge is bigger as well. Also, Elleana who works the front desk is by far one of the most professional, friendly, and hospitable employees I’ve ever come across staying in a hotel. I stay at all different properties throughout the US for my job, and she sets the standard and example that everyone should follow. She made my stay from good to amazing and she is incredibly appreciated!

Everything was great, no problems at all.

The room was spacious and had everything I needed for my stay, it’s a little bit of a walk from the centre of town but I think that is adequately reflected in the price, I would stay again.

It’s not something I didn’t like but just to note, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. When I arrived, from the outside I wasn’t 100% confident on how the rooms would be, however I was wrong and the place was great.

It was really nice to have a covered parking. It’s been raining most of the week and it was really nice to have the option to park under a covered port. Its something that really stands out from most other hotels.

They had some remodeling going on. but that’s only a temporary thing and the workers never made to much noise till the afternoon so I hardly noticed.

Clean and cozy — good space if hauling gear (bikes, surfboards) — and useful amenities such as a fridge and microwave. 15 minute walk to downtown SLO, with lots of great restaurants and coffee shops and store on Monterey Street.

The back stairwell is tough — tight, three flights — easier to go up the front stairs’ single flight and walk down the breezeway to access back rooms.

Good location - about 10/15 minute flat walk to some good bars and usual US eating outlets. The room was a bit small but excellent value for money. No breakfast but had a good coffee and coissant just after the railway bridge going into town. Can recommend!

The staff was warm and welcoming at Mission Inn, and the hotel/rooms were clean, comfortable, stocked with the necessary amenities, and well maintained. Even though it is an older hotel, they have done a good job in keeping it fresh looking and modern for the most part.

It doesn’t have an elevator, so if your luggage is on the heavier side, be prepared for a workout.

Location excellent, room clean with coffee makerand fridge, we had an issue with water and a tap not working, reception sorted us with a new room straight away. Reception friendly and efficient at all times. Walking distance into town, supermarket nearby,
