Sands Inn & Suites

The rooom was quiet and had enough space. There were two suitcase stands and a wardrobe with nice hangers. The bed and pillows were fine. The property has a hot tub and pool.

Housekeeping is performed only upon request, which is fine, but the room was initially supplied with just two smalllish bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 washcloths and 2 small soaps. This is inadequate for a stay of 4 days, and especially when there is a pool and hot tub onsite. The TV screen was on the small side. The hot tub could have been hotter and the jets stronger, but maybe we just didn't know how to operate it.

The room was amazing the staff was friendly

They said they just needed my card on file for incidentals because I paid cash but they tryed to charge it anyway. I still wanted to stay here so I made a reservation for 2 weeks later I showed up to check in and pay and was told they now charge a 150 dollar deposit, I didn't have that much available in my account. So I had to make other accommodations for the night. Getting booking.com or the hotel to cancel was a long event . I will definitely never be staying here again. Which is sad because I loved this hotel.

Breakfast: Was very good, the waffles are fantastic, the cups of yogurts delicious, coffee, Tee, mini sausages, different type of cereal. Love it.

The AC was to loud, It was difficult to hear the TV . Very old AC. The towels are very old and hard to dry. I think it was a little price it, since it was a Move in day at CalPoly, al the hotels increase the prices.

We arrived after driving 6 hours on a normal 4 hour drive up from Orange County. We were tired and hungry. It was wonderful to discover Gino's Pizza an easy two blocks away, an easy walk to stretch the legs. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise, it was huge! It also had a shower seat and more grab bars than I have ever seen 7 or 8 and a hand held wand. Also the woman at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant.

Our stay was mostly positive. Just a few minor issues that can impact a stay. The internet strength was only fair. When we came back with our pizza we were unable to open our door. The desk staff was quick to resolve the problem.

Decent room, pool, just off the freeway. A little bit of a walk to DT SLO but not that bad. Plenty of food and drink options nearby. And pup-friendly, for one time, not nightly fee! Recommend trying out Splash Cafe nearby for brekkie. Would book again.

Can't really say there was anything I didn't like specifically. Only thing I would have changed is location being closer to DT but not a deal breaker at all.

Well located near to the town centre (short car drive). Good breakfast for a motel! Waffle maker, great bagels, fresh fruit. Room large, clean & comfortable. Perfect for a night's stay on our way up the coast.

Nothing not to like. Apart from the weather, which wasn't great so couldn't make use of the pool!

We only stayed one night as a stopover prior to reaching LA but the hotel was convenient to visit Avila beach and Pismo so suited us perfectly. Room was fine

The bath did not drain in any way so it was a bit annoying but hopefully the maintenance team fixed it after we reported it.

It was peaceful there weren't any homeless or tweakers fighting and trying to steal anything or sleep near the motel and no cops raiding the place lile other hotels I've been to. It was super clean and everything I needed was stocked in the room already. Staff is amazing and they usually just texted me to make sure everything is ok and to ask about check out because I had extended my stay a few nights. I'd live there full time if I could! Thank you for running the way a motel should! ❤ Will definitely book there again.

There was honestly not 1 thing that I didn't like about this place! Best hotel stay I've had in awhile!

The room was quiet and very clean. Breakfast was sufficient. The view was incredible.

Patches on the walkways. The juice machine wasn't working so no variety to choose from. The front desk was not manned at all times. No elevator for the second floor.

quiet convenient location. close enough to CalPoly campus. nice pool view and Mountain View from front of room
