Motel 6-San Luis Obispo, CA - North

Staff is excellent, they went above and beyond for me. Gave me a room I liked, and when the guest laundry was not available because the coins weren't taken out of the machine (this is an outside company) the manager did my wash for free. This is very kind. Good coffee in the morning in the lobby, had a restful sleep and the water in the shower was hot!

The room was clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There was brewed coffee available in the office every morning. It was located just off the 101, but was still quiet.

There was nothing. To be nit-picky I guess I could say you get what you pay for, so the furnishings are sparse and older. The princess in me could have had coffee in my room so I didn’t have to shower and dress before drinking my morning requirement to become human. But the hotel isn’t large and the coffee in the office tasted better than the kind they typically give you to brew in your room…

It was clean and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and personable. I borrowed a hair dryer and we had to cancel one day of our stay. I was given a full refund. We will stay there again because the staff was so nice and helpful. Keep in mind it’s a Motel 6- it’s no frills and you need to bring shampoo/lotion etc. We were there for a Cal Poly event and it worked just fine for our needs.

The room is decent, the staff is helpful, but no iron/iron board (had to walk all the way to the front desk for one) and no hair dryer as well. Housekeeping wasn't provided on a daily basis but it was stated the moment I checked in.

The location. I meant it was great that it's located close to the freeway, gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores but I didn't like how it's situated next to a car repair shop and the towering trees needs some trimming. It was windy and raining when I stayed out here and the pine needles/trees fell all over my car that it took me a while to remove them.

Motel 6 has done an excellent job rehabbing their motels. Of special importance is that they got rid of carpet, wood-type flooring is much cleaner. The maintenance was excellent. They have comfortable beds and the showers are always reliably good. It was quiet and secure. The staff was very polite and helpful.

It was all satisfactory.

very clean, they take pride in their property. staff was super accommodating to my disabled husband and I. we were displaced out of our home after he became disabled and everywhere else we stayed has been awful as far as accommodating to his needs but this moral 6 has been absolutely wonderful.

the disability room was small and the bed was a full size barely fitting my husband and I... I don’t know if any one of the disability rooms has a bigger bed.

My room looks like it had been renovated not long ago. Everything was clean and efficient.

I did not see a door handle hanging sign that might let me indicate "no disturb" since I did not need bed refreshing during a three-night stay. I was surprised to see that done though unexpected. All is well.

I liked that Motel 6 is always a little more updated as far as decor also I like the price and the rooms are always visibly clean.Good value if you just need a reliable and clean place to sleep.

Our rooms always smell like cigarette smoke and we are non cigarette smokers requesting a non smoking room so that’s unpleasant.The blankets were more like sheets and for a pet friendly premises I was most disappointed that there was no grass or yard whatsoever for our dog to go potty even a small patch of grass would have made a huge difference.Nothing but gravel and concrete.

Jack and Kayla hooked me up with not just a microwave but a mini refrigerator. I was impressed with this hotel and would come back with my kids and friends to stay at the coast. My two youngest were happy because I could buy food and leave it in the fridge and they could enjoy their meals in the rooms. The same for the rest of my 6 children. Just that one customer would be coming in and out of the parking lot making so much noise that I thought someone’s car was getting robbed but it was his own car alarm going off. And it was around 1-3 am every night.

Friendly reception staff, motel exactly what you would expect for this price range and rating.
