Funky little hotel with history - built in the 1920s. Restaurants, bars, shopping in a beautiful downtown right outside the door.

I got the cheapest room so take with grain of salt: bring earplugs that work for you as the train goes by regularly. They did provide ear plugs. Noise between rooms but it is a very old building. Could have been cleaner and the room itself better maintained: ie maintenance and replacement of fixtures. But overall charming

I got a an upgrade to balcony room, overlooking Winter Park town square, with one queen bed from the standard room room with two. The hotel was built 1992 and has some old time charm. It means the facilities are not fully modern but they are clean and they work. The hotel is family run and you sense that from the first minute. It is situated right in the middle of Winter Park so once you're there you don't need your vehicle to explore the town.

There is coffee available for free but not restaurant. There are several good places for breakfast short walk away. It's close to the railroad station with SunTrail commuter trains passing about once an hour but not during the night. Parking is valet parking at $15/night but that's cheaper than the car parks around.

Location, ambiance, the lobby, the comfy bed and sheets. Thank you for having AC. Loved the balcony and garden hanging there. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Near all the great restaurants and walking distance to the boat tour and Morse museum—which is one of the best museums I’ve been to.

I was sad to not have the continental breakfast that was mentioned in one of the welcome letters. They had stopped it a year ago. It might be time to lose the tv cabinets and go flatscreen on the wall. It was awkward and made the room a bit too cluttered. More hooks in the room and doors.

The room was fantastic and very spacious. The location was amazing. We were on Park Avenue within walking distance to everything. The balcony was great. It full of plants that provided some seclusion and we had 2 chairs and a table in the balcony. It was fantastic for having your morning coffee or relaxing with a beer in the afternoon.

This place is great. The only negative we had during our stay was the rainy weather that lasted the whole trip. Highly recommend staying at the park plaza hotel.

The historic nature and the charm of the facility made up for shortcomings that the experience may have included. The location is superb. Park Plaza Hotel is in the heart of historic downtown Winter Park, and an easy walk to all it has to offer. The balcony overllooked Central Park and the shops and eateries along Park Ave.

The coffee provided in the lobby for hotel guests was not good. The bathroom was substandard. The bathtub drained at a turtles pace. The TV in our room was not enjoyable to watch.

Vintage Historic property. I think it is individually and locally owned. Half a block from the train station, across from the classic urban park that gives WinterPark its name. A couple of blocks from the campus of Rollins College. Right in the middle of an upscale urban neighborhood and shopping district. Choice of several good restaurants with a five to ten minute walk.

Just a warning to folks who are looking for a conventional hotel. You are likely to be disappointed. But if you are looking to step back into a time warp and visit a hotel that is authentically vintage post WWI-pre WWII, complete with a functioning elevator of that vintage, you will amazed at this place!

Room location was fantastic overlooking the park. The overall appearances of this lovely old historic building could use some updates but keeping the cost down allows for it to be more economical in price. Do expect an old hotel experience, noise, etc. but there is a feeling of going back in time and living the experience of the 20’s is so worth it. A European kind of feel that in America keeps vanishing with the “tear it down, and build new” philosophy. Still family owned I believe. I would definitely stay there again1

Needs some basic clean up. Furniture a bit used.

Great value for old school comfort, location and service. Love the feeing of the rooms, furniture and fabrics. We really enjoyed the sitting area of our room, the porch cleverly secluded with ferns, the four poster king bed and the coffee service in the lobby. There is entertainment on the sidewalk below all day and in the evening, but it wasn’t noisy. Many restaurants and bars are walking distance.
