We greatly enjoyed how conveniently the hotel was located. We also appreciated the design touches, though it was clear from the construction happening on the bathroom below our room that work is still on going. The plunge pool and hot tub were a great feature during the hot weather. The staff were also very helpful, providing us a steamer upon request and storing our bags after checkout while we explored the city before our evening flight.

It was VERY loud in our room. Not only was the street we faced loud - which being on Frenchmen was to be expected, however the property did not provide any notice of this - but there was also music happening inside the hotel itself with bass so loud that ear plugs were no help. The room (a suite which we were upgraded to in hopes the hotel could sell some of smaller rooms during jazz fest) was very large, and felt oddly empty. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge!

Friendly staff. Especially, Cullen was very helpful and shared a google doc with places to eat, visit, things to do etc. Location of Hotel is in walking distance to Frenchmen street and the French Quarter. Even though it was mentioned on the site that it was close to the "partying noise" -- I wasn't bothered by this at all. Found it was mostly on the quieter side of Frenchmen street... with the occasional cars/buses passing by blasting loud music. Room was cozy and sweet. Comfortable bed. Especially enjoyed the wash cloth textures.

Airconditioning to close to the bed, not ideal as a personal preference.

We absolutely loved the staff, all were very helpful but specifically Leroy. Special thanks to him! We also loved the doggos that accompanied their humans for their shifts. The beds were comfy, bar was cute, great shower pressure, lovely rooms, nice location. We were worried about the heat and the noise but the aircon was perfect and the noise wasn’t too bad in 201.

Hard pressed to find something but the only thing was that the stairs were a challenge after a few drinks in the evening!

Best decor and linens/bedding of the 3 different owners that have moved through since I started coming here in 2011. EXCEPTIONAL customer service and tailored amenities (like a nice little bt speaker, high quality soaps, chic but comfortable furniture). Also, I had an issue where booking offered me an upgrade but it wasn't reflected in their scheduling system. They honored the upgrade AND offered my partner and free in room snacks and drinks for the trouble. Incredible and personal communication about any and all issues with the general manager. And this is all adding to a building and cpurtyard/hot tub, that I find so appealing that as a new orleans native I'll book rooms in and not visit any of the surrounding tourist traps. Book the king balcony suite for haloween or the smaller parades. You are GUARANTEED to have a good time.

My one (extremely) minor gripe is that the room I was in could have used a dresser, or shelves in the closet. If you like to completely unpack, not of the rooms, even the larger ones, have a great option for that. BUT I'd say it's still well worth it.

The Frenchmen hotel is ideally located between Frenchmen and the French Quarter. The property is beautiful, clean and the rooms nicely decorated. I loved the hidden pool! From the check-in to the check-out, the staff has been super welcoming. There is also a cute shop at the reception where you can buy beautiful souvenirs from local artists.

I loved everything about this hotel, but if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be for you. You’re on Frenchmen so there is music and people partying all night. But isn’t it what you should do when in New Orleans? :)

I can't recommend this hotel enough. Every inch of the hotel is perfectly curated and beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and didn't hesitate to help us and provide recommendations. We loved going to the jazz clubs along Frenchmen street and walking through the French Quarter nearby. I was worried it would be too loud at night but it wasn't an issue. Overall, I thought it was a great value for the price and would love to visit again.

The only complaint I have is the size of the shower. I am a fairly small person and it was a bit uncomfortable, but not a big deal!

Never got up.in time for the breakfast 😒. I love the intimate setting of the Frenchmen. The room was small but nicely appointed. Good bathroom shower but the sink is too close to the commode (#103). But loved the oldness of the room and property. Beautiful landscaping of the pool area. Nice pool layout. Like the ground floor rooms that flow out to the bricked grounds. Great staff customer service. Enjoyed meeting the African-American GM guy (sorry to miss his name). He was very hospitable and kind. Next time, I'll opt for a larger room on the ground floor. Are there larger rooms upstairs? Needing to double-check my invoice. Was overcharged for an item I did not buy at the lobby gift shop ($180) but I think the error was corrected. Great location on Frenchmen Street. Can walk just about anywhere from the hotel which is a BIG plus. There is a great, local nearby street food vendor we discovered that I'd like to recommend to hotel management to recommend to hotel guests for room service food delivery. That'd be a unique service complementing all other Uber Eats or Door Dash type food service recommendations. Overall, a great hotel stay experience. In fact, I have friends from London who are planning a visit to New Orleans in August and I'm recommending they consider the Frenchmen Hotel. I may be joining them and returning to your hotel myself.

More control of the courtyard noise from the mother screaming and berating her kids at the pool area. It was hard to hear and disruptive to our stay. Also, there should be quiet zone reminder signage for guests checking out and walking near rooms closest to the office. People were loud, albeit temporary. Rolling luggage is one thing but excessively loud talking, laughing and screaming in such an intimate setting is disruptive to the peace and tranquility of the place. Some noise is to be expected and tolerated but loudness, particularly given the closeness of the ground-floor rooms nearest the courtyard, should not be acceptable behavior.

What a pleasant surprise! This hotel is very beautiful and will keep you gazing on every inch. Pool and hot tub felt amazing. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Inside the rooms is plenty of space, nice large shower. Mini-fridge. Clubs very close. Most definitely recommend.

Hard to find food to deliver. Only had one set of keys and needed them to get in and out. It was pretty loud but with the air going in the room it didn't bother us.

Lovely interior and comfy bed, amazing pool and courtyard area. This hotel is adjacent to some great music venues and the Jazz museum.

The TV didn’t have any use whatsoever. I suppose folks don’t come here to watch TV but it would have been good even to just be able to log in to a Roku.

They have coffee in the lobby in the mornings, and the swimming pool is lovely after a hot day walking New Orleans! I didn't try the rooftop bar, but it's an excellent facility to have.

Room wasn't serviced one morning. That's it! Everything else was great.
