The Arcadian powered by Sonder

Our stay at the Arcadian Hotel Brookline exceeded our expectations.! The hotel's rooms and common spaces are so comfortable. You feel like you are in your own living room.! Breakfast was included in the price and there has been access to water and coffee anytime during the day! The hotel was located next to the green line of MBTA and as a result access to downtown Boston was super easy!

Our staying overall was great. The only point I would like to make is about the cleaning of the rooms. Because our stay was quite long, we tried to keep our room as tidy as possible. While the housekeeper made the beds and changed towels daily, we felt that the room wasn't vaccumed at all.

The hotel was clean and well presented. Staff always around, especially during breakfast to replenish items and keep food areas clean. The front desk were incredibly freindly, helpful and accommodating to our needs. We asked for a room with more space to hang clothing (my wife wares long dresses habitually) and our first room didn't have hooks or space to do this easily. We were moved to another room the following morning following a late check-in. If your planning on site-seeingthen the location is perfect for easy access to the 'T' tram system, which stops about 20 metres from the front door

Nothing really to fault. The norm is not to have a wardrobe. Now I am aware of this I'll add to the booking form in future to save the staff and us wasted time.

I liked being on the first floor for ease of getting in and out of the hotel. I liked that there was coffee available throughout the day. Staff was very nice.

I did not like that the room was a bit dark and I didn’t draw the curtains open for privacy. I did not like that the shower was so close to the toilet making it a little difficult getting in and out. The shower had mildew on the edges and should have been cleaner. I did not like the resort fee and parking fee. We paid a good amount of money already to be charged an additional amount. I thought that the parking lot should have better lighting. I would stay there again and maybe ask for a room with better access to the shower.

Great location! Parking in the garage below was an extra fee but worth it b.c. driving in Boston is crazy. The hotel is on the train line and so conveniently located. Staff was really nice. Inside the building was so cool. We had a view of the atrium and loved it. The staff texted asking if we needed anything or had questions, and answered our questions quickly. The coffee in the room was great! Plus they also had great coffee downstairs.

Some of the furniture in the lobby was a little worn. The hallway carpet pattern was nauseating.

Front desk staff were warm and welcoming. Parking was easy and convenient.

I was cramped for time and needed a quick bite. No restaurant, which was made clear, but microwaveable eats at the bar, which was open from 4-11 on this Friday night. However, the bartender was NOT THERE and apparently had left fir a “dinner break”. UNACCEPTABLE. No mini-fridge, which was not listed anyway, but I just assumed it would be there (my bad). Only two drawers in a nightstands to put clothes and two hangers in a tiny space on the wall. No problem for a solo one-night stay… but a couple here for a weekend might have had a problem!

Really modern hotel which seems to have recently been built. Very clean, very quiet. Great location with a tram stop right outside which takes you into town. Some nice shops and restaurants within 5 mins walk of the hotel, including a grocery store. All you can eat breakfast. Nice communal spaces to sit and eat, read etc. Friendly staff.

Our room didn't have an outside window, which we did know at booking but was still a bit odd. Also no drawers or hangers for our clothes. Air conditioner in our room was quite loud. Breakfast was great but would have been nice to have some less sugary options.

The hotel was lovely-pleasant aesthetic, excellent location, room was comfy and clean. The double tower executive room had excellent light/windows. The staff was so kind, accomodating, and professional. The lobby in particular was a nice place to spend time.

These are not very serious complaints, just a few things I noted: - bathroom was a little old-fashioned and small, but was fine. - breakfast was pastries + coffee, no warm options (was expecting eggs, sausage, etc. - bar was a small (was expecting a full service bar, this had wine, beer, and select canned cocktails). That being said, our bartender was extremely nice!

The ambience… Proximity to the subway… Ability to chat with customer service online… Breakfast included

Perhaps a slight lack in communication… First we were booked in the wrong room so we had to move. Then the AC was broken in our second room. They were supposed to fix it while we were out… But we never got a call, so when we returned late at night, it was still broken, and we had to move rooms again, which was very inconvenient. However… I am supposedly awaiting $100 credit for the inconvenience. If this comes through, it makes up for it!

I love the location with cafés, decent restaurants, and grocery stores nearby. It was easy to take the tram into central areas of Boston as well. My bed was super comfortable and I had plenty of good rest. Good WiFi in room. The lobby has plenty of comfy seating areas. It was easy to find charging spots as well. The staff members were so nice and warm. When it rained heavily and I was able to borrow a large umbrella for the day for free. The staff also helped me order a taxi to the airport.

I found the en-suite bathroom was on the smaller side, which wasn't a problem for me but may be inconvenient for taller folks. There is no mini-fridge in my room. I could also hear little kids running upstairs (my room was on the first floor), but they quietened down by the evening - didn't affect my sleep at all.

This was our first stay at a Sonder property. Wasn't sure what to expect, and was very pleasantly surprised to see a fully staffed counter, and a spacious comfy lobby. With a nice continental breakfast included; nice way to start the day.

I'm not sure I am suggesting another chair, but we were rained "in" one day, and there's only one nice desk-type chair. So one of us could sit int the chair, and the other had to sit on the bed. Not horrible, but am just pointing that out.
