The Coolidge Corner Guest House: A Brookline Bed and Breakfast

Coffee and continental breakfast, especially the fruit was great start to the day. Really nice to have access to the kitchen after a long day of sight seeing to make a cup of tea. Although we had to share a bathroom (not our first choice), the bathroom was spotlessly clean and we always had access. Liked the access code to get into the B&B...made life a lot easier. Seemed to be very safe. Friendly staff and you were most accommodating in allowing us to leave our luggage in the lounge on the day we checked out.

We would have preferred a separate bathroom, but we made it work. The TV channel options where bit limited, but not the end of the world. The image seemed a bit blurred, perhaps you can check this ( not sure if it was my eye sight). We took a day to orientate ourselves, but soon got the hang of it. One evening, when we wanted to make tea, there was no milk or half & half in the cupboard, hence no tea. Although the staff were pleasant and cleaned daily...they may want to clean underneath chest of drawers ( not sure about underneath the bed ?). I only noticed because I dropped something and was looking for it.

The room was very cute, with antique furniture and decor. Bed was very comfortable and warm with a very nice quilt. It was easy to walk to cafes and the shopping areas around Brookline. I could also do laundry for free next to the dining room. Very nice house, I enjoyed staying there. Wifi connectivity was good as well.

Sound wasn't very well insulated, but most other guests were relatively quiet. A little bit cool but there was a thermostat in the hallway to warm up for a few hours at a time.

Location excellent, quaint room decor, close to the 'T', restaurants, Trader Joe's etc.. Convenient parking arranged for fee Had a nice, cosy neighbourhood feel Fridge in room useful Shared bathroom kept clean and orderly but we weren't there at full occupancy - nice and big Nice for families to have the second add-on room (double bed) for older kids and their privacy

King size bed (in Governor's suite) could have been a bit firmer? Would be nice gesture to reduce the prices as breakfast was not being served due to covid which we knew in advance.

Quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The owners answered every email request immediately. Comfortable bed, good shower. Great location. Feels like home. Simple check-in and out system.

The room was very small - we were allowed to put our large suitcases in an empty room to make more space. Otherwise, it would really have been uncomfortable. On weekends, bagels and coffee were available for breakfast in the common kitchen. Why couldn't this have been every day, as it apparently was in the past? It was a bit cold inside.

very hands off no one to greet you just a phone call in the middle of dinner with my child to make sure I had checked in. no one but me put their car key where they were supposed to so I had to call to see if I could get my car out when I wanted to check out - the charge for parking is too much for that inconvenience.

Coolidge Corner was the perfect place to stay while attending a nearby event. My room was clean and cozy and the amenities were just what I needed. The location was conveniently walking distance to shops and restaurants. The walk was enjoyable as the neighborhoods feel safe, the homes were quaint and there were little parks to relax in scattered throughout. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff are very nice and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable.

We didn't realize until we got there that our room would be at the top of two flights of winding stairs. Since we had a couple of heavy suitcases, this made arrival and departure somewhat challenging.

The coolness of the room, mattress was very comfortable and plenty of pillows. Having a Free washer/dryer . The refrigerator in the room, and info of local businesses in the area.

Having more than one little trash containers, not being told housekeeping did not work on weekends, not having any breakfast nor reducing the room price because of not having breakfast. But knowing that we were not getting breakfast because of covid. Before we came.

Suite 13 2nd floor was very nice. Could have used another chair or two in the room! The HK lady on duty was exceptional. She was most accommodating for our needs. Her name: Arae?

The breakfast (bagels, fruit, eggs) was very nice, yet could have used it much earlier! We are off and about our schedule and need those amenities at an earlier hour. We could never get online on your computer!

The location was perfect—walkable distance to grocery and restaurants. It was decorated well, and rooms were sweet and comfortable. The owner was extremely responsive to text. My family love it!

I didn’t love that the bathroom was down the hall, but that worked out just fine. I would have liked for there to have been some coffee. The parking was mildly stressful, but that worked out as well, and the owner/manager was very helpful.
