DoubleTree by Hilton Ann Arbor, MI

Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food and the staff were very attentive even though it was a self serve buffet. The room was spacious with good heat control and a decent T.V. Although my stay was short the receptionist made a big impression and I'm annoyed I never got her name to pass onto the management. She was on when I arrived late at night after 23 hours travelling and really lifted my mood with her warm welcome and again greeted me very warmly when I came down for breakfast.

I had a very short stay so wouldn't comment. Arrived at midnight and left at 08.00.

The staff was really helpful and the property is well-maintained.

Couple of things I did not appreciate: 1. Our room was located over the laundry room. We heard the washer running the whole time 2. It was very expensive for the facilities it provided and the city it was located in. 3. Water in the shower did not heat up for a good 5 min 4. The hot tub did not work well because it wasn't filled to the correct level

Even though it is an older building everything was in order, it was quiet, clean and comfy. Please check the refrigerator gasket in room 214 - loose. Also the bathroom door would not close without a major bang - worried we woke the neighbors. Shower was great!! Towels generous and absorbent. Amenities just right. I especially appreciated the double coffee cup station - enabled me to make my usual half-caf mix. The double draperies we appreciated too - let in light w/o losing privacy. We did not use the Market. Loved the easy chair with matching footstool. The cased furniture was top notch. The bed was comfy and the linens clean.

My pets felt safe there as did my husband and I.

I wish there were smaller waste bins outside the doors in the court yard so we could dispose of our dogs poop bag easier. We had to pile them up outside our courtyard door and then right before we left had to bring them all in. With two big dogs it’s a lot of poop :c

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant connected made breakfast and happy hour a real convenience.

An outdoor pool is advertised but is not permitted for use by the city. It was a top selling point for us when picking this hotel. It was very disappointing to find out on the day of check in that the outdoor pool hasn't been in use for two years.

lamp design-base was too shallow to hold charger blocks in the AC outlets so not enough AC outlets for my devices housekeeping on request-didn’t mind reusing towels or making my bed or picking up coffee & tea & toilet paper at the front desk but I wish the trash had been emptied

Nice modern room, fridge and microwave. Spacious gym with good variety of machines and weights. Large pool. Free coffee and water all day. Warm free cookies upon check-in:)

Loud big groups, hogging the pool, bar and common areas all day. Fridge was a bit worn down with dividers and freezer door missing.

The cookies! Also the bed was super comfy. The area was super close to some shops and grocery stores. The breakfast buffet was ok, I wish there were a few more options for lactose intolerant guests.

The coffee not having lactose free options (in the lobby). Also, the exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working so it got really foggy in the bathroom.

Nick was AMAZING, he was attentive during check in and hooked us up with an extra cookie on our way to our room. The staff was friendly and service was fast. The room was clean, building was quiet, and water pressure was on point. Everything we have come to expect from the Hilton brand was showcased in our stay.

The pool was out of order, not much the facilities could have done considering the massive flooding and storm damage that the state has undergone as of recent. However, if the only thing out of their control is what’s wrong, it shows how good of a stay it was.

This hotel is close to the Veterans hospital where my husband is being treated. It's conveniently located with plenty of parking. Easy access from parking to our room. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Clean and comfortable rooms.

We weren't told over the phone that they offer a discount for hospital patients. We booked through a 3rd party because it was less expensive but would have saved even more by going directly through the hotel with the hospital patient discount.
