Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Ann Arbor Ypsilanti

The stay was nice and I would like to stay there again next year when I have to make the same trip. It was clean and friendly. The staff always went the extra mile. The rooms were very clean.

Actually, the only issue was bookings.com. This almost was a really bad issue for us. The hotel could not find our reservation and they could not book us for the complete trip. Me, John, booked the room, was emailed the bookings information and it was addressed to John. After an hour of the hotel calling bookings.com multiple times, the reservation was under my family members name. Why this happened I don't know, but almost cost us the trip as there was no alternate accommodations available.

Was delighted to have a hot breakfast in the morning. The alarm clock was gentle to wake up to. Forgot that a hairdryer was provided. Also the lighted mirror in the bathroom was rather nice. Also got a suite on the ground floor as needed. Shower set-up was awesome. Key cards worked well.

The weather was a bother on Saturday. The wind was blowing very hard at times. Not the hotel's fault though. Wish there was a door stop to hold the door open when moving one's luggage in or out of the room.

I really liked the layout of the room. It is very well thought out layout with just enough furniture to keep your stuff and keep the room tidy. I liked the bedding. The mattress however was too soft for me and I am slim.

The walls are super thin and I could hear everything in the room on the same floor. Every night I would get woken up several times because, either someone slams the door, speaks loudly or does some other entertaining activity. If the soundproofing was better, this would be a really great hotel!

The location was nicer than most. Amenities were nice, check in was pleasant and the ladies were very helpful. All areas looked and smelled clean. It was quiet and peaceful during our stay. The beds are comfortable and the shower was great, (except for the drain stopper of you wanted a bath).

There was no maid service to our room during our time there. 0 wash clothes, 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels from day one were for us to last over 3 days. The plug doesn't work for bath, no refill on coffee, and the beds were never made. The breakfast buffet could be a lot better, or at least of no charge until the regular breakfast is served again.

This was my 3rd stay while visiting my son. The Ypsilanti site is amazing: excellent location right off I-94, wonderful breakfast with great variety, clean rooms with huge walk in shower, main desk staff are friendly & polite. I will return in the future!

Pull out couch is extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast lacks variety. Not very friendly for people/kids with food allergies. The room windows should be able to open fully, for some fresh air.

convenient to highways, clean, quiet, easy parking

Bathroom mirror provided very poor lighting for makeup application, etc. very disappointed in this. Luckily, I had a handheld mirror and could go to a more well lit area for this. very inconvenient to lug everything out of bathroom to another area each time I needed to apply makeup.

the location was very convenient about 7 minutes from family . They also gave me an option of what floor I wanted to be on which was nice because I have a child.

I just didn’t have a decent sized trash can in my bathroom.

Everyone was very, very nice to me on the phone and in person. I actually had booked another hotel - right across the street. I had called twice to ask about early check in and if they had shuttle service or knew of any car service companies. Each time I was pretty much dismissed and definitely felt to be a bother. I actually apologized for taking up their time. I work in North Carolina and am HR Manager for 60+ employees that deal with 900+ customers per day. I was really dismayed and had no desire to stay at that property, so I booked your hotel and then called with same questions not once but twice and third time from airport to confirm early check in. Each and EVERY time I called the staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and welcoming and in person every time I dealt with front desk, phone call to lobby, or your wonderful housekeeping staff I was treated with nothing but kindness. Thank you and I will be back again and tell anyone I know how great my experience was at your hotel.

I have no complaints

Covid prevented us from using the room. It was too late to cancel via 3rd party reservation. Staff was understanding and allowed us to transfer guest name to a sibling who was also traveling with her air bed. Hotel accommodations were much more comfortable. Thank you! We will return post COVID-19 for a future family gathering.
