Graduate Ann Arbor

The lobby was warm and inviting, the restaurant and coffee bar were a good value with quality items. The rooms were smartly decorated with attention to details. All staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The bed was pretty firm for my liking. The bathrooms were also pretty small; had I been traveling with someone, we would have been tripping over each other to squeeze in there. The parking situation was also unsavory. The valet lot did not accommodate pick up trucks so we had to park a couple blocks away in a parking garage each time we left the hotel.

The old Campus Inn is still in an ideal location to visit UM without a car. The hotel is very nice, and the most recent makeover has nice decor touches.

Having said that the hotel is very nice, it is very pricey for the level of hotel that it is. I would be reluctant to stay there again if I had a choice otherwise. The only specific thing about the property that I was unhappy with was the shower was very, very slippery when wet and with soap on it. I was able to manage, but a less able person would not.

A delightful concept Hotel, really well done. Extremely well stocked bar for cocktails. Great staff. Can’t beat the location. Also they are indeed a pet friendly hotel and this is a great spot if you’re traveling with a dog and need to walk the dog. Lots of green spaces around this hotel with mature trees and beautiful buildings.

The night we were there apparently the bar and restaurant were in some kind of transition and the staff was trying to make the best of it but it was quite inconvenient that there were a lot of things the staff couldn’t do or didn’t know how to do on this one particular night of the transition. But don’t get me wrong this is an excellent hotel. I just feel like if the facilities are that impacted and they don’t have stock of some thing or they can’t offer major facilities in the hotel for a night then they should knock down the price or comp you on something officially. The price would warrant that.

Ambiance and Friendliness of the staffs. Location, so close to the university, also close to restaurants which is fantastic. I also liked the fact that the hotel is different, its like old school in a sense of style and art but facilities are not old at all. Brings you back to decades ago.

Lack of option for eco-friendliness e.g. room cleaning or not. I would have liked my room cleaned without changing the towels everyday.

Friendly staff, very clean and thoughtfully designed. It was a lovely spot to call home for our 8 night stay.

There’s are VERY minimum things that can easily be updated by management, and it did NOT effect our overall stay. 1. There needs to be an extra hook on the door in the bathroom to hang towels. There’s not enough room to hang up towels to let them dry out between uses. 2. Also, a light needs to be added to the closet. The room entry is painted very dark and there’s only one dim light. It’s very difficult to see inside the closet.

We have stayed the Graduate in different location as always, this hotel is well-maintained. It’s very clean in the room and the common area. The stuff are friendly and efficient. The location is good. Walkable distance to university of Michigan.

The only problem of our stay was the room just next to elevator and I could hear it was running till late night. So I didn’t sleep well. Hopefully I could get a better room in my next stay :)

The hotel was convenient to both downtown Ann Arbor and the UM campus. The vintage 1950s and 60s college-themed decor was humorously nostalgic. We really liked the friendliness of both the main lobby and the outdoor seating area. The desk staff were helpful.

I did not like that the waters provided were not complimentary (free). I did not see a lot of my favorite channels on the TV, like the full range of HBO channels, cable news, and Comedy Central, but we didn't watch that much TV, so not a big deal.

I had to wait 45 minutes for the valet to get my car when the text said 15 minutes. We were late dropping my daughter off at her dance clinic on campus. It was 8:05 when I sent the text and it was very busy with families going to orientation etc. there was only one valet on duty. There should be two during a busy morning. Sorry this was meant under what I didn’t like.

location for my purpose was great. The lobby was inviting specially of you are there for the University. The staff were pleasant. They accommodated me for an early arrival which was fantastic.

The hours of restaurant in the hotel was not convenient for me. every time I went it was closed either for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast I understand but dinner way too early. No room service either.

Breakfast was fine, location is perfect. Having a restaurant is an added bonus.

My room temp was 64 when I arrived and so had to turn off the AC (noisy anyway) and leave it off. By the time I left two days later it was 69 which was tolerable. Also the bed was so padded that it created a mound and so had to sleep in the middle of the bed.
