Best Western Plus Hospitality House Suites

My wife and I and our 18-month old boy stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Checkin process was very easy and fast. They even provided us cribs free and set it up. Booking.com was showing no crib is offered. Staff very polite and helpful. We stayed at 9th floor on a King one-bedroom and although we were next to elevator, room was quiet. Also no sound from street, overall room was very quiet and shades were great. Room was quite spacious and it felt like home. kitchen bathroom living/bedroom was very clean. Actually I think this hotel is better than its pictures. Breakfast was great, and you can take it to your room if you want to. Location is absolutely awesome, super close to subway, supermarket. Walking distance to Grand central, Rockfeller, 5th Ave shops, Central Park and Times Square.

Room service was every other day (or maybe every 2days, not quite sure). But it was no big deal, staff was very helpful and provided us with whatever we needed.

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Mariela and Eddie at the front desk. Our apartment was huge with plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 children. The breakfast offered a big variety of options. Our space was clean and comfortable and I would stay there again with no hesitation!

It would have been nice to have 2 bathrooms instead of 1, but with “scheduling” we made it work with no problem. It also seemed a little expensive, but after the checking prices of other places in the area, I realized it was definitely reasonable. The photos online are accurate, so there were no surprises.

Excellent mattress, slept like a baby. Futon mattress was dated and was marginally OK. Location is unbeatable! A few minutes walk to closest subway station, near numerous places to eat and drugstores. Literally next door to a seemingly very nice Italian restaurant (did not go) and a super pizzeria (Belleza) Safe neighborhood. Breakfast covered all the bases, better than some of the more expensive hotels offer. Clean room, cleaning service every other day did a fine job Friendly staff at reception

Furnishings are dated and they show it. Still, they are functional. AC is loud but it does the job The delay issue with the elevator at the ground floor level is annoying but manageable. Water refill station needs a lot of help, please fix it.

The location is excellent and there is plenty of room so we were so comfortable. Extra bonus was the excellent restaurants right next door.

This was a perfect location to access all NYC has to offer, without feeling like you were right in the middle of things. Subway access is within a 5-minute walk and just a 10-20 minute walk to Rockefeller Center, Time Square and Central Park. The ability to have separate rooms for our family of 5 (with very different sleep schedules) was great. It was like have 3 hotel rooms for our family at one time. We will definitely look at staying here again when we travel to NYC the next time and have already recommended it to many friends.

The only negative I have is that the elevator is a little slow. We were on the 2nd floor so we just walked up the stairs each time we left the apartment. That would be a little harder if we were on the 5-7th floors. But that was a VERY minor inconvenience.

In short - it is a great Best Western - you get nice room, breakfast, convenient location, friendly staff - everything and more one would expect from Best Western. All it needs is to be priced as Best Western.

There is just one elevator and it was very slow (some issues). Luckily, we left the day before the maintenance of the elevator was scheduled - it wouldn't be fun to walk up and down the stairs with the luggage. There are NO fancy amenities (pool, spa, etc) and the prices are way too high ($1,800 for 3 nights) - it is just a Best Western and NOT Ritz-Carlton! To be fair - NY is going totally nuts as there is a huge shortage of hotel beds (due to many hosting immigrants), plus Bidenflation, and thus the prices are 3x higher than usual for any hotel.

I booked this for my sister and her family when a last minute emergency prevented them from staying in my apartment in Queens. I couldn't believe how big the apartment was for the money. Four adults and a teenager had space to hang out and chat when not sightseeing without feeling cramped. It was very clean and so quiet. My sister said they all slept very comfortably and location was very convenient. There are lots of sights restaurants, and shops within walking distance and it's also close to several key subway lines. Yet it feels calmer because it's slightly east of the high traffic tourist zones. Staff was super friendly and helpful--they will secure your luggage before check in time or after check out if necessary which is so helpful. My family was really happy with their stay and said they would consider staying there again. Which makes me wonder if I should be offended they don't want to stay with me... Nah. PS-- check out the little coffee shop across the street. Delicious espresso.

The elevator is a little small. At certain times of day you might have to wait a bit until you can get in. But that is a very minor inconvenience.

A property with this amount of space is hard to find in the heart of NYC. It truly feels like you have your own apartment in the city. Located just a few blocks east of 5th Avenue, we walked to many of the stores & attractions on our list. For those that were a little further, we either walked to 42nd or 51st (closest to the hotel) to hop on the subway. Although it took a while to figure out the lines, it ultimately ended up being our main transportation source to areas downtown & further uptown. The complimentary breakfast was a winner for our family. It had a much larger selection than expected - waffles/pancakes, bagels, eggs, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, muffins, toast, etc. - and was a great way to save money and fill us before heading out for the day. Overall, great space if you aren’t expecting plush accommodations.

While the space is great, the beds lack comfort. For us, they were much too hard, and we struggled to get comfortable at night. Further, the bedrooms could easily accommodate a larger bed - King vs Queen. If the property upgraded the beds, it would be an A+ property for families that require more space than a traditional hotel room. Also, there are very few open outlets to charge all your devices. I would recommend bringing a power strip (or two) and extension cords, so that you have adequate charging space.

The staff at the reception was very helpful and tried to accommodate us as much as possible. The location was great, easy to get around on foot. The suite was clean and had the necessary supplies. The welcome basket was a very nice touch that kids were happy to find. Wi-fi was spotty, but useable.

Overall I got a very "budget" feeling from the hotel's furnishings, including linens and pillows that looked like they were already "slept in". The breakfast was OK for somebody very hungry, but don't expect much. The windows are locked and face brick walls, making the suite quite dark and without option of ventilation. Kitchen had some utensils, but just the bare bones ones, not for extensive cooking.

The room was great and the staff was very friendly.

The key cards always took several tries to work, not just on our room door but the main door as well. The shower also had no in-between no matter what you did, it was either freezing or you were getting burned.
