Hotel Boutique at Grand Central

The location is perfect, just a short walk to Grand Central. Close to a lot of sights in walking distance or easy to reach with the subwaysystem. We loved the rooftop area on the 27th floor, what a view and complementary coffee and water! Bring your own food/drinks though. You can order from an online system there and someone will deliver it from, probably, a place nearby, but just get it yourself on your way back of sight seeing, much faster and I think easier, there are enough options in the area (so we did not use the hotel system). There is no breakfast (except for the online ordering system) but why should there be? You are in NYC, go out of your hotel, there are some great options within a very short walk. We LOVED the COMFORT DINER! A 2 minute walk, a real American diner with great food, locals, you get a better feel of New York than hanging around a breakfast buffet at your hotel with other tourists. Highly recommended, go to the comfort diner, grab a booth, eat a great meal and do like the locals do. The room is not big but this is New York and every square meter/inch is valuable. Being used to smaller historic European hotel rooms, we felt right at home ;-). Do not worry, it is no hole in the wall, you have enough space. Has a fridge, hair dryer, all kinds of stuff. My husband liked the bed, for me, could be a bit softer but that is preference, I slept fine. The staff is professional, if you run out of something they adjust that quickly, just ask. If you are a pillow person, ask in advance for two extra, I always do if I just want to relax and watch some TV and they arrange that before you check in. The shower is good, our room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. WIFI is good, you can pair your device to the TV for streaming and enough sockets to charge whatever you want to. Really nice stay, would recommend!

Location is perfect, they clean the rooms when you request, it is good. Overall decoration of rooms looks new and modern. There is a spot in front to park car to drop your luggage or load them, this is good for New York. They provide discount for Icon Parking Lot nearby comes to 45 USD daily, which is good.

Elevators had lines, multiple times. You have to wait a lot. People were having issues breathing since the elevator was overly crowded, assuming there was an issue going on. Rooms are not sound proof, you can hear next door too easily or can wake up by a door slam.

Location was great. Roof top terrace was lovely to relax in after a day’s sightseeing. The fridge in the room was welcome.

A safe in the room would have been useful.

The room was a good size, it was very clean and the aircon worked well - which was essential! It has a fridge good coffee marching and microwave. They also have an excellent terrace on the 27th floor where you can get free tea and coffee and also take your own food there for breakfast and dinner if you want to. The Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful.

There was noting I didn't like! But in the past (pre covid) they had an happy hour on the terrace where there were drinks and snacks and it would be lovely if that was reinstated. Also no options from breakfast and this is totally fine as there are lots of places to grab breakfast from in the area - but just so you are aware.

A pleasant small hotel in midtown Manhattan close to Grand Central Station and Times Square. Side street where the hotel is located is a little gritty, but the wonderful staff and the clean room made up for it.

The room itself was a little small for what we expected, but the bathroom was big enough. Overall the room met our needs, but it’s not a place to hang around, especially in the lobby which is quite modest. No places to sit or have breakfast. The good news is there’s an awesome diner right down the street called the Comfort Diner, Where are you going to have an excellent breakfast.

everything was really great. the location is incredible - super close to everything you’d want to see in New York but also able to walk to some quieter areas as well. great food around and close parking that’s not too expensive. the staff were all very nice and everything went super smooth. the room is a good size especially for New York and the mini kitchen and smart tvs mean there’s almost nothing you can’t access in your room. the lounge was amazing with an espresso machine and outdoor terrace. beds are comfy and bathroom was very clean.

my only complaint would be the water took a long time to heat up in the shower and bathroom sink but still worked once it got going and the sofa beds are pretty thin and stiff even for a sofa bed. we did have to ask to get bedding for the sofa bed but all we had to do was text them and they delivered it right to our door which was super quick and easy.

Highly recommended to anyone visiting NYC. The location is fantastic. It's in a prime location, with (almost) everything within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby, so you will never run out of things to do. One of my favorite things about the hotel was the rooftop. It's simply amazing, and the view from up there is breathtaking. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing or work. Another great feature of the hotel is the free coffee and tea that's available 24/7. This was a nice touch and greatly appreciated, especially for those early morning starts. Overall, our stay at the Hotel Boutique Grand Central was absolutely fantastic. The location, the rooftop, and the free coffee and tea made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel in the area.

This was well above my expectations for a short layover in NYC while I was travelling for business. The room was great value - a nice size & very clean, with nice facilities (such as a coffee machine + pods in the room!). The hotel was really centrally located, right by Grand Central which is of course super-helpful for onward travel, and the guest lounge area up on the 27th floor (with views of the Chrysler building as you drink your capuccino!) was much appreciated for catching up on emails or reading for a bit.

I guess you could say the hotel doesn't have much "personality", but honestly that's so far down my list of priorities, especially when I spent so little time in the room & so much time exploring the city!

Great Location, loved the rooftop terrace, friendly front desk/housekeeping and maintenance staff, clean, housekeeping on demand, comfy bed, in room iron/board and hairdryer, nicely scented bathroom amenities (soap/shampoo, conditioner, body cream), filtered water with bottles to go, coffee and ice. We did not use it but there is a workout room and washing machine for laundry which is nice for a longer stay.

We couldn’t find the safe deposit box in the room.
