The Casablanca's location is excellent, tucked away beside Times Square it gives you immediate access to the hustle and bustle of NYC. The hotel is clean and the hotel staff are a masterclass in customer service. Nothing is too much trouble for them. For this reason alone it is worth a visit. The rooms are sizeable, we had a living room, bedroom and bathroom included. The rooms are a little tired, but if Casablanca was remade in the 80's, this is what the rooms would look like. If you love retro chic then the Casablanca has it by the pound. From the staircase to the sitting area it shouts kitsch. There nothing to dislike here. Apart from maybe the fact it's a little noisy.... but it's NYC the noise is part of the charm.

There is nothing to dislike. However, if you go to the Casablanca expecting a modern, contemporary hotel then you will be disappointed. Go for the ambience and buy into it's charm. You won't be disappointed.

From check in to check out, everything was seamless. My family and I really enjoyed the impeccable service, cleanliness & comfort of the rooms, and convenient location to shows and Times Square. The queen room was quaint and cozy. The bed was so comfortable! The executive king was spacious and also just as comfortable. Nice touches like robes and slippers really gave added comfort. The convenience of Ricks Cafe allowed for 24 hours access to snacks and refreshments made our stay all the more special and comfortable. I really appreciated the espresso/cappuccino machine. The parking garage was right next door with special rates for guests. They also helped arrange transport for me to JFK. My family and I would definitely recommend Casablanca and would absolutely stay here again.

Continental breakfast was suitable. But, it would be nice to have a few more gluten free options.

Fantastic breakfast in the morning and snacks during the day. Excellent customer service. Rooms have very comfortable beds and the luxury toiletries in the bathroom were a bonus!

Location is just steps from Times Square. The staff, from James at the front desk to the ladies in the 24/7 guest lounge and breakfast bar, are so friendly and accommodating. The two restaurants on either side of the hotel, Tony's and USA Brooklyn Diner are quintessential NYC. When the computer in the lounge wasn't working properly, they took me directly into the office to print airline boarding passes. They arranged for a town car and driver to the airport who was waiting for us 15 minutes early. Casablanca is not just a hotel, it's a home when staying in NYC. There are at least six major Broadway theatres in walking distance of the hotel, with all the excitement of Times Square just around the corner.

This hotel was a great find. The location and staff are both phenomenal! You are literally just a few steps away from time square, Broadway, and subway access. The property has a diner next door that is open all day and and is perfect place to eat prior to a show etc. Lastly, the rooms, shared spaces, and dinning areas are very comfortable. The shared space has a fire place, complimentary espresso, coffee, drinks, and small snacks that came in very handy on the busy days. We go to NYC every other year and this is my new hotel!

The staff was outstanding as usual. Location is perfect for theatre goers.

We have stayed at the Cassablanca for probably 12-15 years for our family's annual theatre trip. Before COVID, there was a lovely wine and cheese reception late afternoon, which did not occur during COVID (understandable), but was not continued following. We really miss it. Following breakfast, only a small selection of packaged snacks is available. We loved the former special touches. The facilities are fine, but it's clear no updates have occurred for many years, and the property is looking worn (for example, stained decorative pillows, damaged wicker in the bathroom).

The room and the staff were amazing and made our stay very comfortable. The location was super convenient and super close to the Lyrics theater which was our destination. Overall I don't have a lot of complaints.

The hotel itself was great but there were a few things that bugged me. The TV's were tiny, I know it's a small room but a 27-inch TV is pretty small. It was well placed to see it from the bed though. The radiators were REALLY loud. Like, they woke me out of a sound sleep numerous times. It sounded like someone banging on pipes right in our room.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Casablanca hotel. Every single hotel staff member was so friendly and helpful. The location was great, so close to Times Square but the hotel itself was so quiet, like a retreat off of the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Convenient to the subway which is right across the road. We took full advantage of the continental breakfast every morning and going down for our pastries, bagels and coffee became part of our daily routine. It’s an old school hotel, we had to get someone up to adjust the heating when we were melting the first night, but we fell in love with its charm.

From Australia, visited NY in Feb 23. 4th time we’ve stayed since 2011. Location perfect, staff excellent as always, very clean. Standard rooms, while on the small side, still plenty of room down each side of the queen bed and have 2 other very good points - still room for a small table and comfy chair to attend to correspondence and room has a walk in robe that affords additional luggage and hanging space not normally associated with a standard room. So yes, good value. In addition we like the “bronzed” big cats spread around the hotel.

Post COVID the standard of the 5pm - 8 pm nibbles and drinks in the 1st floor lounge not the same. Pre 2020 you had a selection of red, white & sparkling wines on offer, on top of a lovely selection of breads, cheeses, fruit , biscuits and assorted other nibbles. This time round the wines have all disappeared, along with many of the other accompaniments. Tea, coffee, some sodas, some whole fruit, chips & assorted nuts still on offer. Result - the 5pm - 8pm “sessions” no longer convivial, we missed the ebb & flow of conversation with and amongst guests from different backgrounds. Having said that we are have no knowledge of any regulatory processes which may have impacted such gatherings post COVID.
