Royalton New York

The location is great for Mid Town, 5th Ave and Central Park. The room was clean and large for NYC.

The hotel has no restaurant facilities at all. The Royalton was very trendy in the 1990’s and now feels like a hotel that has seen better days.

The entire staff were very nice and helpful, they gave us everything we needed and helped us with everything we asked.

It felt kinda empty sometimes, but it was very quiet and the elevators arrived quickly. the bar at the entrance was completely empty so it was weird. there was no option for breakfast, and along with the empty bar it just felt like the hotel is lacking something. Its not very close to the Times Square, especially when you walk in the rain, but its not far as well. It is located in a very nice area right near Bryant Park, but our room had no view, you could only see a building.

Room was always cleaned well. Quiet. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Location was convenient for my meetings. Shower was excellent, lots of hot water. Bellmen were very thoughtful and accommodating.

Price was very high especially with NYC taxes; the hotel's "resort fees" are unreasonable and should be removed. No resort amenities. No restaurant open, no bar open, hotel was strangely empty which made it a little creepy and I questioned why all other hotels on West 44th street were lively and busy. Royalton appeared to be almost going out of business--no one around. I wonder why? Too expensive?

I loved the staff and the front lobby area. The location was very helpful for getting around to seeing many of the museums we wanted to see. The rooms were nice, roomy and the beds were very comfortable.

I would have liked to have a coffee maker in the room. Some of the furniture was a little worn and needed to be replaced but overall it was a nice room and experience.

Very satisfied with our stay at Hotel Royalton. Not only were we able to do do an early check-in but we got a beautiful room upgrade. The room was super spacious and comfortable! unfortunately, we were there for only one day!

The fireplace was a major selling point for us and it was wonderful. The disco tub was a nice addition that we enjoyed more than we thought we would.

Upon checking-in, there was one manager out in the lobby behind a desk who was quite gruff. When we inquired about checking-in, he pointed us to the front desk- no eye contact; didn't welcome us or say "someone will be right with you". There was nobody at the front desk, so there were some awkward moments where we were standing there looking for someone to help us. It didn't look like he notified anybody of our presence. All other staff were super friendly and accommodating. Also, navigating the website, and trying to determine which rooms had which amenities (fireplace, disco tub) was confusing and time consuming.

the hotel still hasn't recovered from Covid and whilst it has a great entree hall, which looks like it might have a wonderful bar, there are currently no drinks, food or services - as a result the hotel lacks a certain vibe and, indeed, service element as even coffee needs to be bought outside

Can't beat its location, just perfect, steps from everything important and in a nice street. At the reception Isaiah was extremely professional and welcoming. Got a nice upgrade to a deluxe room. Price is fair considering it is NY and its incredible location.

The lobby area is huge and classy, it's a pitty the bars are not open, it would transform the place. It was once one of Ian Shrager jewels, decorated with touches of Philip Stark, the rooms decor did not age well and feels outdated, although well maintained. Bed was a bit on the small side and matress was too soft. Does not serve breakfast nor food.

excellent central location, newly updated room decoration. Room was amazing, very spacious. we have stayed at the Royalton many times over the last 10 years. Manager was very helpful in sorting a slight problem out for us

a big part of the Royalton experience was the downstairs bar and post work nightlife. the bar hasn’t reopened post Covid and there is no food offering or breakfast available. for the cost of the rooms this can’t continue ongoing
