Located walking distance from the pier. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We stayed at the newly renovated side. Facing the ocean. I loved the updated LED mirror. I like how the “makeup and hair” station wasn’t in the same room as a hot shower. It had plenty of counter space around the sink for curling iron and such. The mattress was comfortable. The floors were nice. Cute beachy comforter decor. Best hotel staff I’ve encountered in a while for a relatively inexpensive motel

The shower could have used updated knobs and a better drainage. Water backed up in the tub, which I believe was from all the sand. I would get rid of the shower tile on the wall and make it one smooth piece. That eliminates cleaning very hard to remove mildew stains and gives a cleaner look. I would also add a couple more towel hooks.

There wasn't any breakfast, but the location was very convenient to our family that we were visiting. The room was not one of the newly renovated ones, so was on the plain side, however, the most important things were the excellent air conditioning, and a decent shower. We heard no noises from other rooms, and observed only one person smoking outside of their room. It was not fancy, but definitely suitable for our needs.

Our sink had a problem with slow drainage, but the water did go down. I would have appreciated an ice machine on the premises, but it wasn't a big deal.

The hotel is located in a cul-de-sac adjacent to the camp ground. The location is very quiet. The room we had was in the side building, not the main hotel. great restaurants, bars, shopping facilities and most important beach was within less than 5 minutes walking distance. the room was brand new renovated. the bed was very comfortable. the hotel was very easy to find. lots of parking available.

the room was missing hooks for towels in the sink area and main bathroom. the bathroom was very tiny and the shower door was leaking so that taking a shower resulted in a wet bathroom floor. other than that, really nothing to complain about.

The location was perfect next to the pier. Walking distance to the beach and the pier for fishing. It was also within walking distance of several restaurants. The room was very clean and housekeeping was daily.

I am not sure what else could have been better. We mainly slept and showered there. We were out most of the day. It was perfect for our needs. We have family in the area so are knowledgeable of the activities in the area,

The staff were absolutely wonderful. We had an unanticipated late arrival and they were very kind about accommodating us, which I was grateful for. It isn't immediately on the water but across a parking lot and pier/public beach entrance. If you are hoping for an ocean view, you will really only get this from the second floor but you can still see water a bit from the ground floor. Rooms were nicely updated and beds were comfy; I imagine bathroom renovations are next on the list but the vanities are all new and very spacious. Room had a refrigerator, which is always appreciated. We would stay here again!

The bath/shower fixtures were finicky and could use a replacement. Again, if you are aiming to be right ON the beach with an unobstructed ocean view from your room, you may be disappointed on the first floor. But the wonderful staff and the very clean room make up for that shortcoming, in our opinion.

The view out the window is the biggest drawback. Looking at chain link fencing and motor homes/single wides is depressing. Recommend replacing chain link fencing with a solid plaster walls or vinyl fencing and some more planting to help block out the surrounding lots.

Met the owner he nice and his parents have owned the place since 1978 so it's a Mom and pop's place they've been there a long time super nice people clean rooms up-to-date super nice staff you could ask for no better place and people the way they acted

I have back problems the bed was just a little not quite right from my back but it was very comfortable bed super clean super soft sheets and blankets

I was worried it would be loud so close to the pier but it was very quiet at night. It was the perfect location and everything was easy to walk to (dinner, pier, beach, ice cream, bars, ect). The rooms were renovated and clean. The staff was lovely and gave me an awesome recommendation sheet for local spots. Would 10/10 stay again.

The staff if so extremely friendly and helpful! It’s located right next to the beach and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops! And the beds are actually comfortable!

Our first room had a few broken things but the staff was extremely helpful and quick to respond and resolve any issues we had.

The new building has large, clean rooms with plenty of space. Free, private parking for the new single-story building is right in front of your room. Note the new building rooms don't have a kitchenette, but do have a fridge and a microwave. The Oceanview is probably the best option for someone staying just a few nights at this end of the Isle. We use it to avoid the traffic prior to a weekly cottage rental. Note there is a parking lot between the property and the beach - maybe a five minute walk to the beach and the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier.

The only ocean view would be from the second level of the old building. The old building has some rooms with kitchenettes. The rooms in the old building are definitely 'rustic'. There doesn't appear to be an option to choose which building when reserving - I would recommend a call to the property before and after booking if staying for more than a couple of days. The new building has very nice rooms, while the old building might be better for an extended stay requiring a kitchen.
