Hampton Inn Morehead City

The breakfast was a little different everyday. The room was great, good lighting. The t.v. kept going in and out but that wasn't a big deal. The beds were comfortable and clean. There was a nice little trail in the back, you could go down near the water. The view from the room was so nice. We got to see boats go by all the time. The staff was exceptional !!! The pool was clean and refreshing.We brought our dog with us, the only thing i have to say about that is maybe have a little fenced in area big enough for one dog at a time near the pool, as my husband and I had to take turns in the pool, because she was not allowed in the pool area, or allow them them in the pool area.

Allowing your dog to sit with you by the pool, and that's it, everything was fantastic!!

location I have relatives living in this area. The visit may be my last one as I was there to settle deceased sister-in-law estate. Put the house on the market. Hope to settle the property long distance due to my ill health. So it was my goodbye visit. I have enjoyed my visit in NC in the last fifty years while my husband was alive.

When serving grits please serve oatmeal. I have disphagia and there is not much food I could eat so I rely on oatmeal for breakfast. I could not eat eggs so I had cereal. Not a big deal as Grits was served only one day. I made do for that day.

My husband and I appreciated the host Renea more because of her expert and professional service during our stay. When there was an issue with the television in our room, she was right on the spot. She never forgets a face, and personally would acknowledge us to ask if everything was to our satisfaction. Her service to us was noteworthy because of the lack of it too often today. Give her a raise and keep her!

We were there for 3 nights and we didnt need new towels each day or anything but the trash did fill up and wasnt taken out while we were there. the trash cans were small and we were eating in the room. Not a deal breaker just a minor inconvenience

Location and affordability

Wasn't really anything other than the day before we checked out someone checked in on the same floor we were on. The whole floor smelled like pot or weed. Whichever you want to call it. All the did was spray air freshener. It's a nonsmoking hotel. I would have thought they would have been kicked out. Nope, later it smelled like pot again. I had a migraine the rest of the night.

,So this was the perfect The convenient from Emerald Isle to the room was like 30 minutes. My boyfriend loves fishing so this was the perfect location as the Hotel has a ocean where you can fish. So this was perfect . Breakfast was ok. They had bacon, cheese omelets, a waffle maker to make your own waffles,oatmeal, etc.

We did have to change rooms bc we had a spiders on both if the beds and the mattresses were soiled of one of the queen beds. They were accommodating with getting us another room. They tried to upgrade us to a King size bed but one was not available.

Over all everything was nice. Was not happy with the view that we paid extra to have!

We paid extra money to have a waterfront view and our main view was the parking lot after looking over the shrubbery in front of window then beyond was the ocean. That was very disappointing! We were told that they only had first floor rooms and so it was misleading to pay the extra money when to actually appreciate the view you had to walk outside to do it!

The breakfasts were amazing! Our rooms were beautiful! Most of the staff were friendly! I loved the lady that served the breakfast. I don't know what her name was but she had brownish hair and she was absolutely amazing! My kids loved her! Especially my cinnamon roll loving son! Lol

The pool could've been a little cleaner. There were leaves and things floating in it.

Best breakfast out of any place we have stayed. Biggest variety. Make your own Belgian waffles, had different hot foods to choose from. Kids will love. Staff was awesome. View was gorgeous from the third floor looking at the water and giant live oak out back. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. No weird little things to make us feel cringy. Didn't get to use the pool but it looked nice. Have everything you need surrounding the hotel.

Breakfast is exceptional. For people with long stays it is very important and valuable that the menu changes daily without losing quality and variety. The staff in charge of breakfast and the clerks are super friendly. The room is very clean and the air conditioning works perfectly, this is something very important because on the beach and in the middle of summer it is very important that the air conditioning works perfectly. The hotel is very well located.
