Days Inn by Wyndham Cape Carteret

It was all great. I hate that people complain about the small things. Front desk was nice. Pool was great and SUPER clean. Always had clean linens, hotel was clean. Occasional dust here or there, no biggie. Fridge/freezer, coffee pot & coffee, microwave, hairdryer, iron and board, closet with hangers, desk with chair, tv, remote & phone. All the essentials. AC worked amazing, when we stayed it was HOT close to 100° weather so AC was a HUGE PLUS! Breakfast bar was just fine, packaged goods, pancake maker, (which I thought was pretty cool) coffee, juices, cereal, fruit etc. Lobby even had tables and chair to sit and eat. We’ve been going to EI for 20 plus years and always stayed at the pier. We will definitely be staying at Days Inn again! Our new spot for Emerald Isle!

Kelly at front desk (AM) is a gem!! Very kind and friendly. She quickly changed the pancake mixture in the morning at breakfast time when it was all gone. She also extended my check out time with 30 mins. Pool is small, but very clean. Location is convenient, only 10 mins from the beach by car.

The front desk woman assigned me to a first floor, when I specifically requested 2nd, but she quickly change it.The room was hot when we got in,:AC wasn't on. Please change those blue blankets on your beds. They're awful.Also TV didn't have a good picture, maybe it was a low signal. There was only one small bottle of shampoo for the whole family.

The location was perfect.

The price per night should have been discounted to reflect the fact that you no longer have daily room service. If you cannot send in maids due to the Covid pandemic, ( which is the right thing to do) you should reflect this lack of service in your nightly rates.

They were very dog friendly. This was our first trip with our dog. And the hotel was very accommodating. I guess where it was off season there wasn't a lot of people there and it was so nice. And just a couple minutes from the bridge, To the island and beach. And all the fast food and the big arcade and gokarting was just a mile away from the hotel before the bridge and was so much fun. We don't really care about staying right on the ocean so it was perfect. We didn't go but there is also a sports bar literally right next door across the street and a race track a mile or two behind the hotel. So lots of fun non beach activities as well!!

The property is a little older but has recently been remodeled and is very nice and comfortable.

Affordable hotel, great location. It was a simple room with refrigerator and microwave, no real frills to speak of, other than a simple, continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi, but there is wonderful water pressure in the shower! The room was clean and comfortable, easy to access, and we rode out Hurricane/Tropical Storm Idalia there with absolutely no impacts. We would definitely stay again

The breakfast was ok. Would to be nice to maybe add more options like fruits and cereal

The location is great, just a short drive to the bridge to get to Emerald Isle and nearby restaurants. Staff was friendly and our room was clean. We were in a dog friendly room on the first floor and there was a great field right next to the hotel for potty breaks. There is no carpet or rug in the room, so if you bring a dog, bring their bed or something to lay on.

We were on the first floor, and the people staying above us were so loud. It sounded like they were just running from one end of the room to the other constantly and dragging furniture. I was going to call the front desk about it if it continued late, but they stopped around 10pm. It started again around 7am, I think they had kids. Maybe the floors are just too thin. When I checked in, I was charged the full price of the room again even though I had already paid in full. Staff told me it was a computer issue and that the charge should "fall off" of my account in a day or two. It's been 3 days and it's still there... will be calling the hotel again today.

All of the staff there were so helpful and kind with helping me with whatever I needed help with. Never got any bad vibes from any of them. The location was great too, not too far from the beach and some games around the area.

It’s more about what’s around the property. There weren’t as many things to do around there but of course it is not the hotels fault.

It was convenient to Emerald Isle and for much less than anything on the island. 6 minute drive and you were already on the island. The room was clean, I liked that it had vynil floors since I find carpets gross. Had a nice green area outside for my dog. Had a small pool and grilling area as well ehich we didn't use but it was there.

I disliked that the beds are twin. It was very uncomfortable for 2 people and they are a bit squeaky. So I didn't sleep well even though the bed itself wasn't uncomfortable.

This property has been my go to for years!! It’s in a quiet spot but close to the beach! It’s always fairly priced and clean. I have been lucky enough that even the other visitors are super quiet and respectful.

Not much I didn’t like. Even numbered rooms face the pool, odd number rooms face a quiet car wash.
