LOCATION...one block from the beach, very clean, does the job.

VERY SMALL SPACE... Basically an old motel from the 60's that has been renovated. Beds VERY FIRM... Price pretty outrageous for what you get...no maid service... RIDICULOUSLY COMPLICATED BOOKING PROCESS, MUST HAVE RECEIVED 20 EMAILS ABOUT BOOKING NEEDS OUTSIDE OF BOOKING.COM REQUIRED... BOOKING.COM SAID NO UPFRONT PAYMENTS REQUIRED.... EMAIL FROM LEASE COMPANY INSISTED ON 75% UPFRONT AND THEN TRIED TO TACK ON $80 FOR "BOOKING INSURANCE".

It was a great little room with little extras that made our stay better! I loved how there were fresh flowers in our room! Cute little koozie keepsakes and treats from the shops around! I loved the outdoor showers on the property, that made our late night walks on the beach more convenient and kept up from tracking in so much sand. It was just a night away for a honeymoon, but the whole presentation made us feel like the staff knew! It was quiet and peaceful, very clean and they even had a broom so we could sweep up the sand we tracked it! It's just a great place and we will be back!

We loved the location and they had an ADA room for my husband. We also loved how much room the suite had, and the nice big frig it had.

There was no place to put our toothbrush and other bathroom essentials. I would also suggest rug just inside the door and at the tub. My husband suggest maybe another small dresser or cabinet maybe under the TV. With him being legally blind we have to have everything put away and we had to be super creative for that thus time.

The bed was extremely and surprisingly comfortable. Both of us fell asleep very shortly after lying down. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while away from home. The unit was very clean and sufficient for our needs. I will choose the Loggerhead Inn again if we return to the area!

I searched for a lost item under the bed. It was dusty underneath so I recommend that the cleaning crew clean those inconspicuous areas as well. It took us a while to locate the room when we first arrived on the property. I recommend that property managers install orientation signs to help renters find their unit easily as I did not see any present at our stay.

There was NO closet …….NO hangars……(we had to buy them!)we were traveling for a reunion and had dresses and suits with us….. NO place to hang anything. No place in the shower to even put a bar of soap, no counter in bathroom for toiletries. We had to ask for a hairdryer and an ironing board. We were able to borrow both, but NO ironing board?!……. Not everyone travels to topsail for the beach only….. I would have imagined if you put that much money into a remodel that more thought would have been put into it! Disappointing to say the least.

Room was nice and big and comfortable.

Could use a comfortable chair for watching TV. Electric receptacle in kitchen not working, and missing a Remote for the TV. Room 114

Overall we REALLY liked the stay...the layout of the room, while quaint (queen bed), is very well done

Not to overemphasize because we LIKED our stay but two things to be aware of: 1) everything is electronic down to the timing of the door locks at check-in and check-out and a HVAC unit with a remote needing a MS to operate. For Neanderthal Boomers like us who just got used to key cards opening hotel rooms, this was a challenge. 2) One man's ceiling is another man's floor - they have both single level rooms and multilevel rooms. We were on the first floor of the multilevel and the noise from our neighbors above was like a stampede even when just walking, so book single or get one on level 2. All that said everything else about the place was first rate!

Great hotel, just across a small street from the ocean - with a public access right by the hotel. Nice A/C, good shower pressure, comfortable beds, lots of space.

The bathroom has an uncurtained window that faces a stairwell. I'm tall, so anyone coming down the stairs could see me . . . there should be a small curtain or blinds. Open windowns in a bathroom are not my thing, lol. We stayed in the cottage and it was great! 2 BR/2 BA with a living/dining room/kitchen combo. Very clean!

Loved the easy access to the beach and the shower house located near our room to wash off the sand. The room was newly remodeled.

Too many e-mails containing the same information. Always felt like I had to read through them to make sure I wasn't missing anything I needed to do. That being said, we didn't get an email confirming we had succesfully signed out. The room and bathroom were very small and there was no place to hang things that were wet. Only one chair in the room and no place to sit and eat or make a sandwich or bowl of cereal.

I really enjoyed the convenient location to both the beach and the shops/restaurants in Surf City. Nice, clean, uncrowded beaches with plenty of free parking (off season) and most public accesses also have decent public restrooms. Beautiful place to watch the sunrise/sunset! Plenty of parking right outside of our room, so we could easily keep an eye on our vehicle, we could come and go as we please without disturbing anyone. Fully renovated property, well-kept, and clean. No keys/room cards to keep up with; keypad entry that is simple to use. Handicapped accessible as well. And if you want to bring Fido along, they do have rooms that allow pets.

Only minor inconveniences. The main issue was the heavy-footed/loud neighbor above our room (there's only 2 floors, and we were on the 1st). Lots of stomping and dragging(?) things on the floor. Woke us up 2 out of 3 nights, so I'm glad I brought earplugs. We could hear them throughout the day as well, which was quite annoying. Also, when it's windy (strong gusts the 2nd night we stayed), you can REALLY hear the wind blowing around the doorframe, which carried on all night long. It would be nice if there was a vending machine of some sort, but it's fairly close to places that have food/drinks. Just plan accordingly because a lot of businesses close on the early side (especially in the off-season), and the closest gas station/convenience store is about 1 mile away.
