La Quinta Inn & Suites Katy-Mills by Wyndham Katy

Very clean and beautiful hotel. Indoor pool was very nice. Fitness center was small but decent to get a nice workout in. The breakfast was normal hotel breakfast but everything was clean and my family enjoyed the food.

The floor was stayed on was Hot! (3rd floor) Not sure if the air conditioner stopped working or was not on, but everyday we traveled through the hallway it was wrapped in heat, not to mention how hot it was outside, the heat in the hallway didn’t make our walk to our room pleasant.

I like the Dove shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The mattress was comfy and I rested well. I didn't hear the neighbor across the hall's loud TV. I could hear it down the hall as I was approaching the room. The desk made it convenient to complete some much-needed work. The size of the room was quite spacious.

The lighting in the room could be better. Only 2 small lamps that curved downward were useless. The only other light is at the desk and front door. The room is still very dark without sunlight beaming into the room.

Good breakfast, excellent customer service, comfortable bed. Okay water pressure, and nicely sized bathroom. Hotel was quite and got some good rest.

Had to change rooms. First room smelled like stale urine; like someones pet had previously voided inside and the cleanup was subpar. The tile portions of the floor was also sticky, like there was still cleaning solution on it (difficult in humid locations to get tile perfectly clean - but they should be adept at it I would think). The front desk was fantastic, however; they quickly found me another room and made me feel at home.

Convenient location for access to highway, walking distance to great restaurants and very quiet. Beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable so had an awesome night's rest.

Musty/funky smell in room, probably due to the high humidity. Lowered a/c to get rid of humidity and used an air freshener. Typical free breakfast but was very disappointed that they were not keeping counters clean, food items were not being kept restocked, and no measures in place to prevent spread of Covid-19.

I was a little skeptical ti stay here because I always consider La Quinta to be a low class hotel, but after a last minute Airbnb cancellation; I do not regret staying here. this location was absolutely beautiful and “clean”. emphasis on the word clean. I felt like I was staying a luxury chain resort or something.

it wasn’t really clear where the breakfast area was so we ended up missing breakfast because we could find it.

everything is clean and modern. beautiful white and fresh bed. they do have laundry for guest as well. we travel long distances with a dog, we stay overnight, so the small pet fee and the value for money is good. also the free breakfast helps a lot to reduce our time looking for food in the early morning. chose this chain of hotels as a priority when stopping for the night.

The complimentary breakfast was good and convenient. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from day shift to nightshift the staff made sure that our needs and expectations were always met!

The only thing we didn't like is that the walls are VERY thin and some people with small children would allow them to bang on the walls and jump around in the rooms, and run up and down the hallways making a lot of noise. Of course, this is in now way a reflection on the staff.

Pet friendly hotel, big plus. Practical location, next to Katy Mills and freeway. Very friendly staff. Comfortable, clean room. Good easy breakfast.

Not hotels fault but the first night there were guests near our room who were continuously slamming doors at 2 am, waking us up. In the morning we found trash from take away food out of our door and spilled soda in the carpet. We notified the front desk. They said to give is a 10% discount due to the bad experience faced, which at the end was not applied, anyways, fortunately didn't happen again. The rest was very good.

Staff was very friendly. We like La Quinta hotels. Location was perfect for our needs.

Breakfast bar was not clean, eggs and gray were empty. Each time I went for food, one or both were empty. Not what I expect from La Quinta properties. Also, trash was laying around inside the hotel. Again, not what the norm for this brand.

The staff was excellent, especially Walter Knox who provided superb customer service.

I. stayed for a week and had to request change of towels, cleaning of room, etc.. Those services should have been included in my rate and not on request only.
