Palacio Royale Inn Signature Katy

The front desk staff was SUPER friendly and the room was mostly clean (some stray dog hair and wall grime in the bathroom). They tried to brighten your stay with A LOT of vibrant colors. HUGE room with lots of space and cable TV. WiFi was fast and steady.

Wasn't clear that one hotel is behind the other. If you come to breakfast after an hour apparently you don't get a full selection; when something is gone, it's just not refilled? Lazy housekeeping, there was blood (????) on the bathroom wall and stray dog hair everywhere (I didn't bring a dog). Also, I guess you have to ask for clean towels if you want them or to have your room cleaned if you stay more than one night. It was super inconvenient for me to take my trash with me and find somewhere to dispose of it. Shower did not get really hot and the showerhead was subpar at best.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness and classy atmosphere really impressed me. The staff, both day and night shifts, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I love that the rooms are so big. You definitely do not feel cramped in. I love that they allow pets up to 150lbs. There's so much to do that is close by. There's a movie theater that's awesome literally about 5 minutes away! There's restaurants of all types, such as, a Mediterranean buffet directly inn front of the hotel. BJ's is a great is a great restaurant that offers axcellentt food, drinks, and atmosphere. There's also general shopping close by like Walmart and dollar general. It's just a great location!! The staff is always very accommodating.

Friendly staff, convenient location , spacious room, checking in and out was simple , breakfast had fruit, waffles, cereal, eggs.

Thin walls , you can hear people talking/walking from their rooms and the halls. someone upstairs was RUNNING til midnight both nights , I didn’t tell on them or I’m sure staff would have spoke to them so that’s kind of my own fault. You sign a waiver saying you won’t smoke but I could smell weed in the halls and sometimes in the room.

Tudi which is my ESA animal my husband and i a book with this hotel every time we come into town. No matter what day we book there are always room. The rooms are always a nice size and big beds.

nothing really. I pretty much enjoy this room and will continue to book here. But I can say the pool area could use an upgrade on the chairs for next summer.

Fix the elevator please. It's a trip hazard. The elevator does not level up to the floor when the door opens. I tripped and fell into the table in front of the elevator. I'd hate to see someone get really hurt

Elevator needs to be repaired. First room we had the bed lamps weren't working. The TV wasn't working. The microwave needs to be moved over so it opens more easily

The hotel is close to everything , movie theater, mall & many more. It’s pet friendly with reasonable/affordable prices. Have been here twice already & would go back !

You can’t take your breakfast up to the room , which I understand but we always come back with outside food so what the difference?

The room was spacious and clean

The reception has an uninviting odour. They don't provide paper towel, not well staffed that you will have to come to the reception if you need anything. The breakfast is poor, no variety( for beverage, they only provide orange juice, green tea and coffee; no black tea non hot cocoa)

Beds were VERY comfortable, room was spacious, parking was easy to find, our kids enjoyed the pool every day we stayed, sack breakfast was okay, staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially liked Ms Lisa and the housekeeping staff.

Pool did not seem to be maintained as much as it should have been

Very clean, amazing value/affordability, walls are surprisingly "sound proof"...there was a guest a few doors down with extremely loud music the first night we arrived. It sounded like a party and I was concerned we would hear it in our room but we didn't hear any of it upon entering our room. They played loud music several nights of our stay and never heard it in our room.

I was expecting more of a breakfast, but I guess due to covid, they were still serving more "snack-ish" items in brown bags.
