Courtyard by Marriott Tysons McLean

The staff Alex Arispe and Larry Rivus were gracious host and very professional and accommodating to fix the mixup in my reservation.

After everything was corrected they were so happy to be able to make everything satisfying for the customer. I also witnessed their interactions with other guest that had some kind of issue and they showed the same courtesy and professional mannerism . I witness the same eagerness in customer transactions when the lobby was full and they were dealing with new check in and check out. It was extremely a busy time and the lobby was crowed and customer were waiting outside to get in and cars were still coming up as I was in the loading area myself.

The hotel is located near two large malls one is the Tyson’s Corner Center and the other one is Tyson’s II or Galleria Mall which has stores of high end brands names to average. There are fine dining restaurants and also McDonald’s, CVS Pharmacy,Gas Stations and many other stores near by to accommodate the neighborhood.

I have personally liked everything about the Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Tyson’s McLean.

The staff is exceptional. Very pleasant and accommodating. A++ Location to everything you could need within walking distance.

The bathtub was filthy. Like someone cleaned it, but dumped a bucket of dirty water into afterward and it sat and dried on without being rinsed out. Decided on Bistro breakfast, but when we went to the Bistro nothing we had chosen was available, the prices of the available options were ridiculous and the bottled waters were cold. This isn't a deal breaker, but something that I made notice of. We spent nearly $40 on two breakfasts and two bottled waters. That seemed overpriced for pre-made sandwiches that were warmed up.

The metro station and the mall are within walking distance. The bed and other furniture were comfortable. Coming with a lot of electronic devices, there was no shortage of charging outlets.

The phone/alarm clock was dead. The coffee maker in the room was missing the filter slider. The breakfast bistro would have been better with the full menu.

The beds are comfortable and offer a variety of pillows with varying degrees of firmness, so you are likely to find a pillow to suit your preference. The staff was friendly and efficient. Location was great.

It’s not the most stylish hotel I’ve been to, but that’s not really what you expect from a Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is exactly what you expect- comfortable, spacious rooms with efficient staff.

I travelled with my young child, faced many issues, decided to early checkout, and went to Hilton, which had a bad smell. but the shower was good, overall room cleanness 50% the hotel does not offer regular housekeeping, has no outdoor pool, no restaurant, elevators issues, the front desk young gentlemen reputedly warned me about the water leakage, not sure wanted to scare me off leave the hotel or was for real, every day had to go request from front desk towel few times the towels fall on the floors. The operation manager pickup tried to give it to me. Overall with the covid situation is a wrong hotel to stay longer than one day.

It’s a great place to stay. The staff was very very friendly there wasn’t one time I didn’t see someone without a smile and we never walked by someone that didn’t interact with you when going by them. The lobby, elevators, hallways, and rooms was very clean. I thought at first it wasn’t going to be located in a good location but it’s in a great location. It’s less than a half mile to the metro station and about 30/40mins to DC by the metro. Had a wonderful time

I loved the room, it was clean and looked way more expensive than it was. I also loved the location and the scenery. My room had a city view and waking up to the sunrise every morning was great. Though it's not likely that I'll have to spend time at that specific location in the future, I'll be booking Marriott for all my trips!

One night, my room key stopped working and I had to wait in the lobby over 20 minutes for an employee to come and service my need. It was later at night (a little past 10PM) so I was understanding of the fact that they probably didn't have many receptionists on the clock. But this was the only thing I didn't like about my stay.

The room itself was very clean and had a nice view. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I got a room with the hot tub. The inside of the hot tub jets needed to be cleaned. When the jets turned on, brown flakes of soap scum came out. The cleaning staff did not understand what I was talking about when I was trying to explain how to clean them out. However, when I explained the dilemma at checkout, the staff was very apologetic and refunded a portion of my bill.

I liked the room, the size of the TV, the location (right next to Tyson's Corner Center), the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness, the fact that there was a decent gym (can be improved a little and there were some missing dumbells but nothing drastic) and a laundry room (that was especially helpful).

I didn't like that the sink was outside of the bathroom/toilet and how the hotel locked extra payments by mistake from my card.
