Like the memorable and cosy moments in relaxing next to one of the many open fireplaces among the lounges on the ground floor. Absolute love the 1887 building and its decors which is so elegant and rich in yesteryear's charm. The landscaped gardens and the view of its private golf course is nice. Services from hotel and restaurant team is of high standard. Location is good for our weekend car tour around Southern Highland and South Coast.

We booked two guest rooms and believe an internal room upgrade would improve guest experience.

The resort was very comfortable, clean and recently refurbished. Very relaxing common spaces with open fires to sit and reflect or read books. Staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. Great location, perfect for everything we did in the area. Very central and easy to get in and out of the resort.

The bathroom was quite small. The window was difficulr to open and close so limited fresh air. At times parking was limited, however at other times there was no issue. Just luck of the draw.

Staff were engaging, warm, and friendly. The unplanned fire alarm event at 3am was a bit annoying, however the ‘duty manager’ was excellent in how he managed the situation, dealt with guests in a manner that was firm, but relaxed, providing enough information to guests to have them feel that all was being managed and there wasn’t any cause for them to be alarmed. (I am 25 years ex-emergency services, despite this not being a common day incident, he managed it very well and deserves being noted)

Food served in the dining room was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Room was small but adequate. Great gardens and outside area is well looked after. Polite staff and clean common areas with lots of space to socialize with friends

Service for dinner was very slow. First course took over 2 hours to be served even though it was worth the wait, and dessert another hour after we ordered it. There was a wedding at the same time and I believe they were short staffed but no explanation at any time apologizing for the delay. Bathroom was too small, unable to dry yourself comfortably in the bathroom Asked for a room next to my friend. I booked both rooms at the same time and even though reception said we were next door I was around the corner past steps on ground floor. 101 and 104

This was an old world hotel atmosphere with modern amenities. There were comfortable lounge areas with fires which was very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was great. The area at Bowral is gorgeous, and it was close to beautiful shopping (too tempting). The gardens at Peppers are magnificent. It woudl have been a colod old place if there hadn't been heaters all along the halls. All in all a very pleasant stay with the feeling of a trip down memory lane to yesterday.

Couldn't fault anything.

My husband like the golf course. Our room with a balcony, was very comfortable. The views over the Golf course from all windows and verandahs were beautiful. Having breakfast was lovely with views from the dining room. The staff were very professional and friendly. The meals were nice. The whole place had a charming atmosphere. We were close to the Day on the Green, and a short drive to the shops. A very peaceful place.

The property is very well-located and the gardens are gorgeous! The highlight of our stay though was the restaurant, Hickory. The dinner both nights were absolutely fantastic! I was very surprised! Not once did they falter. And the service both nights were stellar! My compliments to the kitchen.

The service during breakfast both days was very disappointing. The girls never asked for our coffee or tea orders. And on our last morning, we asked if we could get some omelettes and the girl right out dead-pan said “No”. Two minutes later, she’s walking out the kitchen and hands another couple two omelettes. That left a sour note in my taste. The pillows in the rooms are also on the tougher end so if you like your pillows low and soft, maybe bring your own. The biggest issue though was that constant electrical humming and water running through the pipes in the walls all night that kept me up. This really took away from the experience.

We booked in the Morton wing as we have previously, but on arrival found we were in a pokey room at the back on the ground floor because of the conference numbers. On complaining we were found a room in the Morton wing. Don't know why we weren't given that room in the first place but happy with the outcome. Full marks to the receptionist who handled the matter so well.

Exceptional staff who are very focused on looking after their guests. Meals were excellent as was the service in the dining room.

This property is 'showing its age' in places. Main problem was the air conditioning.....while our room appeared to have a stand alone AC unit we were unable to reduce the excessive warmth in our room on the first night. Enquiry on the next morning established that the AC was centrally controlled to a large extent and was currently on a 'warm' setting which did not allow room units to reduce the room temperature. This was changed on the day but unfortunately the AC unit in our room clattered noisily all the next night. On raising this with the staff the next day we were given a credit against breakfast and morning coffees. While we did sincerely appreciate this gesture it seemed a little light on as the property was charging premium nightly rates with no breakfast included.

Comfortable in a secluded location. Given age of property it would be a good time to modernize the rooms. Staff very friendly with a real can do attitude. Very scenic place to stay and will think again about staying when next in the area.

Age of rooms that could use an upgrade. Bathroom was very tiny, Everything else about the stay was amicable.
