The property is beautiful and the decor of the hotel is lovely. Really nice restaurant and the whiskey bar was very cozy

The amenities are a big selling point and one of the main reasons we booked. However the pool was too cold to use and the spa was out of order due to maintenance. The tennis court was also under construction. It was just a bit disappointing to realise those things we thought we could use were not available at the time. I also assumed that a king room would have a bathtub, but it was just a shower. Would’ve been nice but the room was still comfortable

Staff were absolutely superb, providing wonderful service at check in, check out, meals and beverages in the lounge. They also arranged a complementary bottle of champagne as a surprise for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The whiskey bar and the knowledge of staff there is one thing that will draw us back again, even if we don’t stay overnight. Such a wonderful selection and very good cocktails. The free Berida Club was well worth joining for the buffet breakfast discount. The breakfast was generous and had a good range of gluten free and hot food options included. After try it once I booked it for the remainder of our stay. The produce store was open longer than expected and I had no problem getting assistance from reception to fill a lolly bag. Being able to charge this and everything else to my room was also a helpful convenience.

Some information about what was open and closed due to renovations was inconsistent and incorrect between the website and on site printed materials. We didn’t miss the games room facilities but it would have been nice to know it was open when we arrived, not finding out later through hospitality staff. Also, for such a luxurious environment I expected a more comfortable bed. I could feel the join in the middle of the bed base through my mattress.

The heating was on full blast in the gym the whole time and was unable to be turned off - made it hard to use the gym In house Restaurant was overpriced and the service was average they couldn’t find my booking but then called me while I was dining to confirm if I was still coming - just a bit unorganised. Room amenities was a bit disappointing for the cost of the room minimal towels x2 and tea x1 of most etc No little bottles of moisturiser etc in the bathroom just hand soap, body wash and shampoo in bottles attached to the walls - just thought it would be better was all Room service ended at 8.30pm seems very early which was disappointing

As usually our stay at the Berida Hotel was comfortable for most of the stay. Berida Hotel has it all! Fantastic atmosphere, great restaurant, two bars as well as well equipped rooms. Our room (no 9) was very pretty with windows along 3 walls facing little courtyard with trees. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant and the buffet was of excellent quality.

Unfortunately during the last night there was a very strong wind, which made the windows rattle and trees scratch against the building. It lasted most of the night and kept me awake for a while. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

This property is like a vacation into a different time. It’s literally got everything you do not need to leave at all, however if you do it’s a short walk into town. This is my favourite self care treat. From the restaurant and whiskey bar, the Sculptress Spa to the new Games room everything down to small nooks all over the property perfect to get lost in a good drink and a good book ! I can’t recommend this place more … book a stay i promise you won’t regret it !

My only complaint was both the room and bathroom was a little tight. We had twin beds set up in the room which ate into the space - this is a very small complaint and did not detract from the stay at all.

We had a great stay, and everything was perfect. The interior design is beautiful and we stayed in a petite queen room (no 3) which was large enough, clean and beautifully appointed. The restaurant food was exceptional (amazing linguine and great breakfasts) and the staff were all super friendly and helpful - from the kitchen to the front desk. Special shout out to the hospitality shown in the Whiskey Bar, a lovely vibe in there.

Nothing. I was a little worried before we stayed as some reviews weren't great - the wait/kitchen staff, the mould smell in some rooms. But we experienced the complete opposite of that and can't recommend it highly enough.

Loved the room, the interiors of the hotel, loved the spa Bistro Sociale for dinner was amazing- food was fantastic!

We signed up for the membership- received a discount for the buffet breakfast (from $38 pp to $25 pp) However, it was not value for money- by the time we went down for breakfast, most of the stuff were finished and not much was left ( our booking was around 0930) and had to wait for them to be refilled. We ordered scrambled egg, but it was cold when it arrived. I also ordered pancakes with berries- but the actual pancake batter was raw, and we had to reorder. It took quite sometime to arrive- and when it did, the batter pancake was still raw! Twice! Such a shame esp since we had dined at the same restaurant the night before The only consolation that the staff had apologised and was not charged for the breakfast

The Hotel is wonderful from the minute you walk through the front door. The room was very comfortable, great shower, quality linen and very quiet. The bed was comfortable but we could feel each other moving . The restaurant was absolutely fabulous, great food, wine and wonderful staff. All the staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A pre dinner or after dinner drink in the beautiful Lounge Room by the fire was a lovely end to a wonderful evening. We look forward to our next stay.

A small criticism about the bed, we could feel each other moving throughout the night. We were in a queen bed.

We absolutely loved the Berida Hotel. The decor was gorgeous. An open fire place was perfect as it was freezing outside. Loved the Gin and Whisky bar, the bar guy was very knowledgeable. The Restaurant Sociale was top notch. Loved our little getaway.

We had a couple of minor complaints being the room was too hot. You couldn’t turn the heater off in the bathroom which made the room very hot. My second complaint was when eating in the restaurant you could see the kitchen as there was an open window looking out to the restaurant. When the meals were ready the chef clap his hands twice really loudly to notify the staff of service. As the restaurant was quite full it got very annoying. I actually thought it was rude. The waitress rolled her eyes. I’ve never ever seen a chef do this. It would put me off eating here again.

Absolutely beautiful property, even on a weekend when it rained the entire time. Great atmosphere as soon as you walk through the main gates and into the hotel itself. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly & attentive. We ate in the restaurant after seeing so many people coming to eat there & it was delicious, wish we stayed for breakfast. As a guest that didn’t visit with a car, it was an easy walk to the Main Street & train station.

The bathroom slide doors don’t offer enough privacy when sharing the room, the bathroom could be a bit bigger. A lot of light came into the room from the hallway at night from around the door itself.
